Royce Zarides has accepted his hand dealt by fate. He's loved and left far too many women. In the bedroom that is. But one kiss from Belinda Raine Ignis was all it took for his eyes to open. Is she really the woman meant for him and his brother Ronin? Or will history only repeat itself? That's the million dollar question he doesn't want to answer.

Ronin does not believe tha

Right from the first page Eden is off and running with this one. Her flowing writing and upbeat style keep you captivated on every word. She also takes her storytelling to a new level by creating an entire mythology for all supernatural races. The ancestry of the races that Eden presents is very intriguing. It’s much more pronounced and thoroughly laid out than it was in the first novel of the series. You really get to know what each of these supes is capable of, and much of it is unique to this ...more

Burned in Shadows 4 1/2 STARS

This is the second book in the Shadow Unit series. I have to say I enjoyed the first book Enslaved in Shadows, Burned blew me away. I usually try to avoid series books, because they hardly ever live up to the first one in my eyes.

Burned in Shadows has restored my faith. This book surpassed any of my expectations, and showed real growth with the author. Burned in Shadows picks up where Enslaved left off. Draven is still missing, and Jess is looking for her mate.

First let me say that I had an author copy and Tigris tells me she changed some things but my guess is that the main themes hold with the same end results.

That said, Tigris has knocked it out of the park with this second novel in the Shadow Unit Series. She picks up where we left off with ENSLAVED IN SHADOW. Draven is missing - presumed dead and Jes not buying it and intends to find him. Belinda is caught up in her strange attraction to Royce and Ronin while both brothers are anxious to know th

Royce and Ronin are Feral twins, Royce has loved and lost women but Bells opened his eyes and she believes she is the one for him and his twin. Ronin does not believe that Belinda is for him and his brother. But one night with her isn't enough. Even when he sees her for who and what she really is, Ronin still has a hard time expressing his emotions where Belinda is concerned. {Reverse roles basically...slight spoiler there}. Belinda (B

Just because someone who's never read the book gave it a one... :( I know it will be fab but will re-rate once I get my paws on it!
You ever read a sequel and then wish you hadn't, so that it could have retained it's potential awesomeness a little longer? Yeah, that's how I feel about this book. It could have been pretty good, but I finished it on a disappointed sigh.

First off, who was the book about--Jes and Draven or Bells, Ronin and Royce? The description says the latter trio, but at least half the book is dedicated to Jes and Draven's continuing drama and that left Bells, Ronin and Royce feeling like mere side charact

I was so excited to read Burned in Shadows because Tigris Eden left me hanging at the end of Enslaved in Shadows. I was one of those that was cussing at the end of Enslaved in Shadows. GRRRR!! If you have not read Enslaved in Shadows, I recommend you do so, before reading Burned in Shadows or maybe even this review. You will want to know about the sexy, dangerous twins, Royce ( LOVE HIM ) and Ronin. You will also want to know what happened to Jesminda and w

I read Enslaved in Shadows last year and enjoyed the creative paranormal storyline and the romance between Jesminda (Jes) and Agent Draven Stone of Shadow Unit, a paranormal agency that polices the supernatural community. Draven is a werewolf who finds himself falling in love with Jesminda, despite the fact that she is a human. After one brief, but life-altering encounter between them in five years ago, they are reunited when Jes seeks Shadow Unit’s protection and help against her sadistic, huma ...more
I would have given this one more but there were a few issues that just got to me. One being the editing issue. I found there to be too many "To's" and not "Too's" to go unnoticed. There was also the fact that I didn't like the split back and forth from story to story. I started skipping over Bell's story. Also there was the power thing. I don't know why but often writers do this, build up a character to be a badass and then she can't even take down a common wolf shifter. It never sits right when ...more
When you realise it's nearly 3am you know the story you are reading is fantastic. This is an eagerly awaited second book in the `Shadow Unit' series. The story continues with the Unit members, following the twins and Bells story at the same time as keeping the reader entranced in the Draven and Jes storyline from the first book. An Absolutely wonderful read for everyone old enough to be aware of the explicit, in parts, content on the story. Well done Tigris Eden for another exciting form of esca ...more

The battle against the Red Sun organization continues with another explosive smackdown in this thrilling paranormal. Jes goes undercover to get more information on the organization and of course to look for Draven. Meanwhile, Bells time has come to ascend as Matria of House Phoenix and she wants Royce and Ronin as her consorts, but her mother and brother have other plans for all of them.

This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with suspense, drama, action and r
First, I'm not entirely sure how two people, who have not read this book, rated it with one star. Really? Now then, I am one of the lucky ones who got to read this pre-lease, and I LOVE it! The relationships being broken and rebuilt, the friendships that progress, I feel like I'm a part of them all! Wonderful story telling by Tigris Eden!
Burned in Shadows was a great read. In this book we get the rest of Jess and Draven’s story and Bells, Royce and Ronin’s story and they all get their HEA in this book. Royce had me laughing from the moment he appeared in the first book and this book is no different. I enjoyed seeing the softer side of Ronin. Melissa finally got what she deserved and the some members of the Shadow Unit are still a mystery as is powers they hold. The book ends with Gabe dropping the bomb on who he really is, leavi ...more

*Since I did the re-editing of this book, I cannot speak of any errors I may have or may not found*

Burned in Shadows picks up where Enslaved in Shadows left off. Draven has been hi-jacked by the Red Sun Organization, Jesminda is learning more and more about the things Marcus did to her, Faith is learning to adapt to her wolfy heritage, and Belinda is preparing to become the next Matria and accept who exactly her consort is fated to be. Enemies the reader thought were dead pop up and show their f
OMG OMG OMG tears are about to come streaming down my cheeks because I NEED the third book in this series in my hands like right now. No lie right now or things are gonna get real up in here. Ugh that ending and death and big hulking yummy twins and why the bleep couldn't Melissa freaking DIE!!! That's not a spoiler right?

Anyway I need to let you all know my computer is hating me and so reviews will be put off for a while until I can get one fixed. Ugh I am going to be like 80 books in the revie
OMG!WOW, OMG, Finally, I had the pleasure, the honor to read and review the second book from this series and the wait was worth it!

The first book (Enslaved in Shadows) left me with a sour taste in my mouth because I couldn't believe the author, Tigris Eden, gave me that kind of ending. She's a master in taking and keeping the reader hooked! Believe me when I said that one book isn't enough!

I was eager to learn what happened to Drake and everything that's implying Jes and her daughter. I was so i

Burned In Shadows:

Whew! The Jes & Draven pairing was a 2 story arc, even though this second book focuses on Bells, Royce & Ronin. Now, even though I’ve said this is the second book in a 2 story arc, it can be read as a standalone story – but I really recommend reading “Enslaved In Shadows” first to enhance the experience for reading “Burned In Shadows”. Now, I did receive a copy of this in exchange for an unbiased review and the author herself told me it could be read as a standalone – b

Favorite Lines “The pain was too much for her to do anything but lay broken against the wall. Was this all her fault? Had her rejection and not being able to tell him how she genuinely felt caused this?”

“Could she take on an entire organization to retrieve the man that belonged to her for all eternity? Could she bring Faith’s father home?”

“Belinda lifted her face to meet his and what she saw took everything she ever knew about relationships to a whole new level.”

Another Amazing One

Oh how I love this series. I thought book one was full of action and excitement but book two was even better. The character build, the mystery behind each player, the deceit, and let's not forget the all combines to make this series a kick a$$ one you will want to keep turning the pages on.
Very detailed writing to the point where you think the make believe is real. I am now stuck on Tigris Eden Shadow Unit series. Her cliff hangers are ones that want to make you throw the book and say Really! I say that in a good way. I did like how the one couple were reunited and another coupling began.
Once again, I really like the vast array of different types of paranormal creatures. I love the world, the entire concept of the novel, and the idea of the Shadow Unit.

However, although the editing/grammatical issues of the first book have improved in this one, it isn't by much. The Red Sun organization switches halfway through to The Red Hand, and then back to Sun again by the end. Oftentimes it's hard to figure out who was speaking or thinking, and sometimes what is going on jumps wildly to so
Wow! This installment of the Shadow Unit series was fabulous!
The story of Jes and Draven continues in this one, which makes me happy because we were left with a cliff hanger with the last story. I love Jes's determination concerning Draven.
Bells is tough, but has a soft heart where her men are concerned. She doubts herself and Royce & Ronin in regards to their feelings. The scenes between them are HOT!!!
She has a huge responsibility to her people and I'm sure we will see more of that in t
I give it 4 1/2 Stars........I loved the first one and this one is just as good. Only problem was many errors. Words in wrong place or punctuation errors or words that shouldn't be there.
This story is about Draven & Jes and also Bells, Royce & Ronin. Jes goes undercover to find Draven who has no idea who or what he was before.
Bells, Royce & Ronin are realizing they are mates. She has to go back to her home place to take her place as the next ruler of the Enclave. While trying to save

Just not the book for me... I see all these great reviews and I tried, I really did. Maybe because I started on book 2 but I found myself inundated with details for a world that really just held no interest. The first 50 pages were mostly a POV of a non main character(for this one). The main characters in this one held no interest for me either. I always hate to rate a book so low of have a non positive review I just couldn't get into this one. Hopefully others will have better luck!
First, I would like to thank the author Tigris Eden for giving me this book for an honest review. This is the second book in the series and I love the story, the character development is great as is the world building. I love these characters they have so much depth to them. The relationships go through hell and then get rebuilt, continuing friendships, what is not to love about his book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I'm not sure I liked this story as much as the first one. Bells' story wasn't as good I was hoping. Her relationship was more strange and disjointed then anything. The story continues to fill out but we still don't get the whole picture. With every answer more questions spring up. Overall I still enjoyed the series and I like where she is taking it. She builds interesting worlds with different characters.
Ms Eden stood out with this suspenseful mystery it was filled with fun moments, sensual times, love triangles. Kept my attention and was very pleased I was able to read. I loved Ronin and Royce.. omg so hot and fiery. Wishing I was Bena.. lol Quite the twist at end.. and love to learn more in the next book.

WOW. Waited so long to read this book it and it didn`t disappoint me! Couldn`t wait to read what will happen to Draven aka Mr. Black and Jes. I absolutely loved everything about it. Now I am sitting on hot coals till the next book in this series will be released!!! Absolutely recommend it. ...more

One of Tigris’ fondest memories, was in the sixth grade, when her teacher read her story, “The Case of The Missing Pepperoni”, out loud to the class. It was then she decided she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. But like all childhood dreams, reality has a way of crashing in and disrupting plans. But her imagination and the voices inside her head never stopped talking. Every dream she cou
