Brenda has written a compelling search for identity. Tovah confronts her spiritual needs as they relate to her rabbinical position as her convert orphaned husband learns about his birth mother. I was engaged throughout.

Brenda Barrie first and very early career included work as an advertising copy writer, Time magazine researcher and book reviewer. Following that she and her husband, Sid Bursten moved from Western Canada to the States where their daughters were born and where Brenda attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, although only earned her B.A. after returning to her home town of Winnipeg Manitoba
