I really, really enjoyed this book! Ask my kids and look around my house, you can see what I ignored today so I could read instead. :) I was lucky enough to receive an eARC, began it last night, finished it this afternoon. It begins with a bang (literally) and just takes off from there.

I love romantic suspense (OK, I love the entire romance genre). The suspense part of the plot had me unable to put the book down. While one aspect of the case was a bit of a given from the beginning, the "hows" a

This is the first book I've read by Diaz, and I flew through it. I didn't want to put it down. Romantic suspense is my favorite genre, so this book was right up my alley. She had me from the beginning, with a fast paced opening and strong hook. I'm a bit surprised by those who said they didn't like the heroine. For me, I enjoyed that she didn't do as she was told, was strong and at the same time was flawed by her own emotional issues. I didn't read her as being selfish or self-centered, just the ...more

A very good suspense tale, fast paced, and different from a lot of other tales of its kind. Instead of telling a story of a bunch of graphic murders, the serial killer plays cat and mouse with the heroine,Madison, who the authorities begin to doubt. Madison is also reunited with former lover Pierce, whom she dumped for what she thought were good reasons. The only thing wrong with the story are some of the things Madison does to get people to believe her which make her pretty close to the TSTL ca ...more

This is a first time author for me, but it won't be the last time I read a book by Diaz. I really enjoyed her fast paced story. It kept me read from pages one. I honestly didn't want to put this book down and if life hadn't interfered I wouldn't have. The opening scene was one of the funniest things I've read in a while. It grabbed and pulled me in. At times Madison drove me crazy but I was willing to over look that. In fact, many of the character made me mad at one time or another but I think t ...more

I enjoyed this, just not quite as much as He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not, and the reason for that lies in Madison McKinley I'm afraid. She was a little annoying and reckless in the first novel, but that didn't really detract from my enjoyment as she stayed in the periphery. In this however her immaturity became a real issue. Yes, the author did give reasons for her behaviour, however she is supposed to be about 29 years old and to have been through several traumatic events that I would have expect ...more
This is the second in the Deadly Games Series..I had read the 3rd one first, so I got caught up on the characters..Each book can be read alone.

This one is about Madison McKinley. She is the sister to Logan who you will meet in the 1st of this series. Madison is being stalked - by
her dead husband! The police in Savannah, just don't believe her and don't really follow up on the calls.

Meanwhile in GA, the Simon Says killer is striking and they are on the case, so they have little time to worry abo

This is the fourth book I read by Lena Diaz in this series! Since, I adored her previous stories, in The Deadly Games; I was sure I'd love this one too. Ms. Diaz did it soon as I started to read Simon Says Die, I got pulled into this great romantic suspense, I could not put it down. I love suspense, and this author is one of my favorite writer of this genre. If you love mystery, romance and suspense, then this book is perfect for you!

I really enjoyed He Kills me He Kills Me Not by this author and was glad to see Pierce (FBI agent) from that book get his own story. Ms. Diaz writes a great romantic suspense, creepy bad guys and can keep you turning pages. I don't do spoilers but will say, try it! You'll like it!

Another great suspense from Lena Diaz.

This was a really good romantic suspense. Madison and Pierce were a couple until he got too close and she broke it off. She was afraid of things moving too fast so she ran. Now she's in Savannah and someone is stalking her. Her brother is on his honeymoon so he sends his best friend to check on her. When Pierce shows up she's chasing an armed man down the street only he's the one who ends up getting shot! From there the sparks fly as he tries to help her. She claims the person after her is her d ...more
Was a bit disappointed in this book, it had such a high entertaining value I gave it 3 stars.

If you read 'He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not,' you already know Madison McKinley dated FBI Special Agent Pierce Buchanan for several months, and then dumped him when he was about to propose. She moved to Savannah not knowing its Pierce's home town and he has now moved back there.
Pierce has told Madison's brother Logan, who is on his honeymoon that he will keep on eye on her. In doing so he takes a bullet me

This book was so different than the first one I had to keep checking to see if I was reading the right book. I really liked the first book but it was a much more serious romantic suspense book. Not much humor in it. This one I was cracking up in the first chapter.

Pierce Buchanan, the FBI Special Agent we met in the first book, has been asked by his best friend Logan to check up on his sister Madison. Madison and Pierce had a little romance (which was between the two books) and she had broken th

I’ve been looking forward to this book as I read Lena Diaz’s debut last year namely ‘He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not’ which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had hoped it would be Pierce and Madison’s book next, asked the author as much and she replied that it was. So, as soon as I received the e-mail from Amazon stating that it was available, I bought it.

Glad I did as it was another entertaining read. I liked Pierce and Madison before and now like them even more. Madison is a hoot, really, and I’m surprised
The city of Savannah is home to one of the newest serial killers. The police have nicknamed him Simon Says, as he leaves notes on the bodies of his victims that read, "Simon says die". Special Agent Pierce Buchanan was assigned to the task force investigating the murders and was diligently working with others to put an end to the murder and mayhem. When his best friend, Logan, who was out of the country on his honeymoon, asked Pierce to check on his sister, Madison, he did so. He had almost prop ...more
I've really been enjoying this series. I started with book 4, then went back and read books 1 & 2. So these can be read as stand alones. Once again, I loved the characters and suspenseful plot. It got a little frustrating how the police never took her seriously and I found ####### SPOILER ALERT###### it a little unbelievable that serial killer and stalker turn out to be the same person. They both had way different MOs and that seems to be serial killer 101 ###### END OF SPOILER ALERT ### ### ...more
I have been a fan of books and movies that center around seriel killers forever. One of my all time favorite series is the books about Hannibal Lechter by Thomas Harris. I love to scare myself so imagine my delight when I opened an eARC from AVON of SIMON SAYS DIE by Lena Diaz and read the prologue which had the hair standing up on my arms and the back of my neck before I even turned the page to Chapter One.

SIMON SAYS DIE by Lena Diaz is a gripping romance thriller that will have you hooked from
I'm giving this book a 4.5. I really, really wanted to give this book a five. I'd like so much about it. I thought it was funny and I really enjoyed the characters. The romance did seem to progress quite well, although one of the scenes with the couple did feel slightly rushed in my opinion. It was a pretty good read. The only issue that I had with this book is that two characters got mixed up, which kind of gave the reveal away before it was time to give the reveal. Granted, this mistake happen ...more

Another edge of the seat page turner! These books just keep getting better!
nothing to impressive here. I mean the mystery aspect was alright I suppose. But that's all. I don't regret the read it kinda woke up my brain a bit from this summer time haze. the veeeeeeery ending kinda just made the book plummet for me idk....

Starting off the year right with this book. Fast paced, lots of twists and turns. While the Simon says killer doesn't really fit in with what's going on with Madison's stalker, the story still works.

I couldn't wait to find out what was really going on.

Sexual situations for those who are opposed to that.

But overall a good read.

I liked Madison and Pierce in the previous book by Lena Diaz. As the book opened I was excited to see that it was about them, then the story unfolds and I was captivated by the storyline and the emotions of the pair. It is even better than her previous book, which was great! The twists and turn kept me guessing on who was after her. This is a good story to read that allows you to leave your troubles of the real world. I give this book a five and anticipating her next book!!
I don't know where to start with this review. I just adored this book from the very first page. It was funny and a very easy read. By that, I mean the characters were very likable and the plot was very intriguing. Madison was an amazing heroine who was stubborn and, I just loved her. Overall, this book is funny and suspenseful, and a must read!

Fun, romantic, and had a great ending. I loved Pierce. And Madison - what a character. It is very hard to make a character as headstrong and impulsive as she is likeable to me, but Diaz succeeded. The plot was more surprising than I expected - way more than the standard serial killer plot.

SO GOOD. Great romance, just the right amount of suspense and is-he-or-isn't-he, fast read, fast paced, and kept me up reading when should have gone to bed!
Teilweise war das Verhalten der Madison recht nervig, aber sonst ein sehr gutes und spannendes Buch!
This was very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will have to read more books by her.
Pretty good book but a bit slow and did not flow as well as I would have liked.
