Tess Menzies can work a spell with a few blinks of her baby blue eyes. But this dedicated witch can’t summon up a single good reason she’s been made an envoy between her kind and Manhattan’s fiercest were-creatures. The two sides haven’t spoken in four hundred years, and she’ll need every miracle in the book to broker any kind of truce. And that means outwitting Council of ...more

I love this series, but I have to say this book was not what I expected. Tess is a very strong witch in the rest of the series and in this one, she barely has any powers. The way this series has come out in print, completely out of order makes the plot line difficult to follow sometimes.

I love Tess and I have always likes Rafe, but he was kind of a caveman in Drive Me Wild, which doesn't really fit his persona in the other books. If you haven't read the rest of the series, you might like Drive M
Drive Me Wild (The Others) by Christine Warren

This is NOT truly a re-print BUT...

...this WAS originally published as an Ellora's Cave Publishing book in 2003 and has been out of print for quite a while. I loved the original and as with several other of Ms Warrens re-prints, I was looking forward to some added scenes, dialog, etc cetera and I was not disappointed!

The 'romance' scenes are just as steamy as I remember from the earlier book and I was a little shocked to see that they hadn't seemed t

I read this out of order so I already knew Tess. I knew she was a witch and would go on to do some interesting things later. I also was familiar with Rafael. So when I started this book I expected Rafael to be much smoother than he was. I thought it would be all swoon worthy romance and steamy sex scenes. Sadly this story disappointed. Rafael came off as an overbearing jerk. Bossy and WAY TOO pushy. I was constantly annoyed that he just pushed his way into Tess' life and then never answered her ...more
Christine Warren is one of my "go to" authors. I was really excited when this book came out.

I was immediately taken with Rafe and Tess from the moment they burst onto the scenes. I truly enjoyed their interaction with one another. They made for a hot couple. I also liked Rafe and Tess individually. They are polar opposites: Rafe a take charge/take no for an answer/ I am alpha hear me roar type of guy while Tess is more reserved. I would not categorize Tess as being timid although I can understa

I just recently discovered Warren and The Others series, and although this is only the second book of hers I’ve read, I really enjoy her writing.

Tess is a witch, and not exactly on the best of terms with her family. So when she gets handed down a special mission to reach out to the Council of Others leader Rafael, she is more than a little surprised. But the good little witch that she is goes out to do as she is told. Althoug
WOW!!!!!! Christine Warren is on my top five favorite authors. This books starts off fast and keeps up the pace and the heat. I can not get enough of this woman's books. The characters are fantastic, hot and I want one for Christmas :) Really this book was fantastic as are all the books in this series. I never get bored and I can't wait for the the next one (which I already have pre-orderd). In case anyone doesn't already know it's called Hungry like a wolf and is to be released late June 2013. ...more

I will say this was a VERY fast read, even compared to some of the others in the series. As usual there was an intense amount of hilarity, especially with Missy and her girls, and Ms. Warren’s sarcasm and wit shine through once again. I would have loved a longer story with more time for their relationship to develop and deepen before they mate. The connections into the overall plot of the series was interesting, though of course some parts we already know about as this was written on a time scal ...more

Drive Me Wild finishes up my read of Christine Warren's Others series. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I was a bit surprised at both Tess and Rafael. She is much stronger in the other books and it would be nice to have a book that explains how she grows as a witch. And Rafe, who is suave and debonair in previous books goes all brain dead. Yes, I understand when the blood rushes south that can happen but... I really credited Rafe with more smarts. Even so I enjoyed the book and when new book ...more

This book is a rewrite of one of the original erotic novellas that was the genesis for The Others series. I've been looking forward to reading Rafe and Tess's story for quite a while, and enjoyed the book. However, don't expect too much from it. It's just a light, quick, sexy read with a lot of humor in it. The characters aren't very well fleshed out and the plot is simple. It is what it is. The only thing that surprised me is that Christine Warren didn't rewrite the story to make the characters ...more
Don't know that I'll get to a 'real' review but... Finished Drive Me Wild (The Others), I don't still have the original (Fur For All) but this story, even in it's longer length, still very much had the sexy feel of that story from what I can remember. I love Rafe and Tess is fun - even if she is often overwhelmed by his intense animal magnetism:) And I always love seeing more of Missy and Graham. So I liked this, even though the story is pretty straight forward and the sexy times start early and ...more
A great addition to the Others series. Rafe and Tess have always been my favorite couple of Warren's, and I was excited to see them get their own book. I finished it in two days (could have been one if I hadn't started so late in the afternoon).

Rating: The non-romantic part of the plot is anticlimactic, and some of the writing could use a trim, but it was a page turner for sure.

Still mostly enjoying this fun series. This one seemed a little light in that really not much happened but them going to bed like bunnies a whole bunch. It was nicely written and the sex scenes were good but there wasn't much plot. The bad guy was lame and his story hardly developed at all. Also the heroine was a witch and her only power was an ability to see what was going to happen right before it does. This only allowed her to avoid stepping out in front of a bus for example. That's not magic ...more
I've read a couple of others in this series and liked this one by far the least. I like the main characters, but for me there's WAY too much emphasis on the sex scenes (not romance, sex) and not enough on the story. This ought to be a shorter book.
I did like the story but the excessive detail in the sex made me skim that part. I skimmed a lot in this book. I kept looking for more story.
Even though this is a paperback, I'm very glad I got it from the library. I'd hate to have wasted $7.99 (plus t
Who doesn't like to see the alpha male (Felix) who doesn't believe in one woman settling down get toppled by an unsuspecting female? For Rafe De Santos it is finally happened, much to the happiness of the females of his friends.

Tess is a witch. In her opinion not a great one, but she still has powers. She has been sent with a message to deliver to Rafe from the witch's council. She is a funny character. She has witty comebacks and doesn't let Rafe push her around. Now Missy is a whole other sto
A very quick, light read. Other than a few short scenes there was no real conflict in the book, and the resolution was easily reached. I thought the personality of the male lead was not very fleshed out, that there were a lot of scenes where the female lead was busy being witty while the guy was just wallpaper.

This book... the amount of plot is enough to fill a 30 page novella, the amount of sex and foreplay makes it enough pages for a book. If you're looking for a book that strays perilously close to an erotica, then this is the book for you. But for me? Not what I was looking for when I picked up this book.

Rafael De Santos is the head of the Council of the Others. He’s a jaguar shifter and is incensed when he senses someone actually trying to tail him...incompetently. But when he pounces on Tess Menzies, he's very quick to change his tune cuz damn she smells good. They were in bed together -well I don't think they actually made it to the bed - within a few hours of meeting and boy was the sex hot. These two just burned up the pages - you could literally feel the lust pouring off the two of them.

This is a rewrite of one of the original Ellora's Cave stories, it is about Rafael "Rafe" De Santos and Tessa "Tess" Menzies. When these two get together they burn up the pages. I love hot, dominant alpha shapeshifters. They are so yummy and Rafe has been one of my favorites from the first time I read about him. I have always thought that Tess was the best choice for the werejaguar. She is feisty, intelligent and irreverent. She has a wonderful sense of humor and is compassionate and loving. The ...more
Lets see.... This book picks up after On the Prowl however the characters from On the Prowl are never mentioned. We do get to see characters from the previous books. We definitely see more of Missy and Graham.

Earlier this year I read the previous book, On the Prowl which featured a marriage of convenience and a super alpha tiger shifter. I couldn’t resist and I ended up enjoying it. Drive me Wild features Rafael de Santos, the head of The Others council, and a very arrogant, alpha jaguar shifter. If you like snarly, possessive, arrogant alphas, this one will work well for you. Plus he is might sexy – a very good combination.

I am surprising myself by how much I am enjoying Christine Warren's The Others series. True, at times I am overwhelmed by all the romance, but they are growing on me! Drive Me Wild is the perfect example too since the characters go at it pretty quickly, rivaling the first two books in who has sex the earliest!

Tess though is definitely in the running for being a favorite heroine, right up there with Missy and Corrine! Tess, like the other two ladies--and possibly all of them in their own ways--ch

I am a big fan of this author have been since I discovered her when she wrote for Ellora's Cave. She and Lora Leigh were my first foray into the explicit paranormal romances. Warren writes romances exactly the way I like to read them--full of passion, hilarity, and with characters that leave an impression. Every time a book of hers comes out, I know I'm going to enjoy them over and over again, so I automatically buy them in print for me keeper shelf.

I devoured this book! I wish Christine Warren had written even more about Tess and Rafael after their HEA, so I could enjoy more of their hot chemistry and honest communication.

“Drive Me Wild" is the 7th book in The Others series and the second that I’ve read; book 6, “On The Prowl” was also an enjoyable read for me.

Tess is a funny, honest young woman whom we first meet while on stake-out of The Council’s offices in a stately home in New York. Seems her grandfather, former head of The Witches’

Drive Me Wild is another installment in the Others universe. Rafael De Santos, Felix and leader of the Coucil of the Others, meets Tess Menzies, witch and messenger for the Witches Council. Sparks fly as the two attempt to arrange a meeting between the factions while unravelling the curse of the spotted feline shifters.

I highly enjoyed the book. I've only read one other book in the series - On The Prowl - which I also enjoyed. Characters from previous books make appearances but you don't have to

Rafael De Santos is the head of the council of the Others. He’s a cat shifter with keen senses which is why it’s shocking when a small woman tries to stalk him through the streets of Manhattan. Even more shocking are the feelings this woman causes Rafe. And she comes with a message: the witch council wants a meeting with him.

Tess Menzies is shocked when her grandfather asks her to deliver an official message to the head of the council of the Others, but that’s not her only shock. When Rafael De

I had to snort out loud, she had the best line in the book. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, really, it is funny, witty and I laughed a lot. The sex is hot and steamy but Tess, a witch with minor powers, is a contradiction in herself. She is so contra Rafe but as soon as he touches her she can't get her libido to stop, not that she really gets

Tess Menzies is a witch who's been sent on a mission by her grandfather, and the witch's council, to deliver a message to Rafael De Santos, feline were, and head of the Council of Others. It's not really something she wants to do, but she figures since she has to do it, she can have a little fun with it too. So she stalks him as he walks home from a club, except, she's not exactly good at stalking. One minute she's walking behind him, the

I loved this story and thought the characters were great!

This is the story of Tess Menzies (a witch) and Rafael De Santos (a were-jaguar). I loved Tess and loved it when by sending Tess to Rafael, her grandfather's evil plan backfired! From their first meeting the sparks created between the two could light up NYC! I loved Tess and Rafael's story and could not put the book down once I started reading it!

I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance story!
