He's defective. Damaged. Malcolm knows he is. How could he not be, after a year of torture in the belly of a goblins' nest? The only magic he can do is the Touch, a perverted magic he despises and learned at the end of a whip. Everyone else in the Glamour Club has loads of magic, but not him. He doesn't fit it. But if he can't find his magic, and his place among the Sidhe,...more

The Reading List (Megan)
Eyes of Magic, is the third book in the Rise of the Unseelie plot line in The Sidhe series by S.A. Archer and S. Ravynheart.

In this novel, we learn more about Malcolm, the young fey who was captured and held prisoner by Rand, a changeling, in Scars of Silver (Book 2 in Rise of the Unseelie) and in Addicted (Book 2 of Touched).

I have been rooting for Malcolm ever since I learned he was being held captive in Scars of Silver. I was quite literally relieved at the end of that book and was curious t...more

My Rating: ★★★★★

The young man they found is awake, and there is something not-quite-right about him. Perhaps he’s defective—a result of too much torture in the Goblins’ nest. Will Malcolm be able to discover any magic within, other than the Touch, which has thus far only been a perversion of what it truly should be, or will he never truly...more

They've done it again. The dynamic and talented writing team of S. A. Archer and S. Ravynheart continue to raise the bar on the collection of stories that they have authored in regards to the magical and conflict ridden world of the Sidhe. After having read the previous novellas, the talent of these two writers causes me to be very drawn to the central characters in each line. Are you addicted yet? I know I am. And what a yummy cover! What I continue to appreciate about these authors and their w...more

When last we left Malcolm, he had gutted me and left me weeping inconsolably on the side of the road. His story flayed me. I have very strong feelings about his father's part in keeping Malcolm ignorant of his heritage and although it wasn't addressed in this story, I'm still hoping he gets what's coming to him. *scowls*

This part of the story picks up not long after Malcolm was rescued from the caves. He's a wounded animal who's unwilling to trust anyone after the torture he's been put through....more

Exceeds its predecessor!

The continuation of Malcolm’s story is truly brilliant. Throughout his story you get to know more of his pain, his anguish, of the agony of having to cope with his recent past. It really did tug on my heartstrings! (there were even a few tears.) *Sniff*
I loved all of the characters, and how they interacted with each other, the friendships made, the bonds formed.
But by far Malcolm is my favourite! He is such a great character, and reading Eyes of magic just made me lov...more

Malcolm has awaken from his three day unconscious state he's been in since Donovan brought him to the Club. He is frantic and panicking only wanting to see the man who killed the vampires and brought him here, saving him; Donovan. Donovan pairs Malcolm with Kieran to be a friend who's had to deal with some of the same, but on a smaller scale. Malcolm is feeling more out of place, of all things, because he doesn't know what his special magic is, and appears to not have one...or does he? Being Sid...more

okay so I skipped #2 and jumped to this one cause it was a freebie....I think this a good series so far but my complaint is that it is a "serial" so you get each edition at about 30ish pages or so and while only 99 cents by the time the story is done how much will it have cost? I think I will wait on this one until it is done and see if they package it all together or something....
