Carly Phillips will seduce readers with the second title in her sizzling Simply trilogy. Logan had no intention of following his father's footsteps straight into public office. And his very public fling with Cat could only help tarnish his already stained reputation. It was the perfect solution...except for the fact that the more time he spent with Cat, the more he realize ...more

Normally, I'd have probably enjoyed this book more. The story was a bit rote, but nothing that couldn't have been saved with a little nuance or individualism. Unfortunately, the tension in this story revolves around a deeply ingrained classism and unquestioning political tropes that are just a little too intrusive to be tolerable. Logan is a plastic, one-dimensional strawman, at best. A lawyer from a well-to-do family who chooses to "live off his earnings" and ignore his trust-fund. His earnings ...more

I really enjoyed this story of a couple who was brought together by a very sneaky grandmother Emma to Logan. She wants to see him married off before she dies. Off course she healthy as an ox now after a mild heart attack which she uses to her advantag. She meets Cat & likes her instantly & knows with her shady background that she could kill two birds with one stone. Get her grandson off the fast track that his father want Logan on to be mayor & give him a scandal at the same time by ...more

As for the previous one, it's rather poor in terms of plot, of characters' study.
The hero and heroine are once again supposed to fall in love with each other, with a great depth of feeling, because they really understood who the other is beneath his deceptive appearance and façade, all that while they have not talked yet or not more than 50 words, but have just looked at each other.
There were however some better moments than expected later on in the story.
1.5 stars only

2nd in the "Simply" series. Sweet little romance between a possible candidate for mayor and a woman from the wrong side of the tracks. Could it ever work between them?

Hot romance insues between two least likely persons. Fairly tale like thanks to a grandmothers love for her grandson. Leads a woman to love she never thought possible.

LOVED it. Emma was awesome!!! I get a huge kick out of the way Carly adds an eccentric, busybody old person to her books. Gives them a comical edge.

My first Carly novel, and I LOVED it! This book made me and instant fan and I wanted to go out and buy every Carly book I saw!

Just finished this one! I think the first was my favorite of the two, but still a good, quick read!

This is the 2nd in the Simply Series and I couldn't put it down. It is a smaller book (264 pages) so it is a quick read.

We met Catherine in Simply Sinful (Simply #1). Cat has had a difficult life but nothing she can't rise above. But when the very rich Logan Montgomery walks into her life Cat begins to think that maybe she needs to remember she was born into a lower class than Logan and while he may just need a distraction from his life she needs to keep her life in order. Logan takes one look

At least, i enjoyed the romance ^^

Catherine Luck a business owner of a catering business meets a dashing, handsome district attorney who was born of privileged. Logan hates everything his family is about. He doesn't like how his parents don't listen to him or how they are cold. The only family members he loves is his free spirited Grandma Emma and his sister who has ran far away from her parents. Catherine believes she and Logan can never have a future because she grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. That is basically the en ...more

Another good and fast read by Carly Phillips. If your not into in-depth reads and want something to pass the time, then this is a good book. If you want a more in-depth plot, broader characters and twists and turns, this isn't going to do that for you. I gave this 3 stars but probably could have gotten away with a 3 1/2 star rating. Carly Phillips does a great job in giving the reader some much needed fantasy, and allows the reader to become embraced with a feel-good relationship. Would I recomm ...more

Sweet little romance between a possible candidate for mayor and a woman from the wrong side of the tracks. Hot romance issues between two least likely persons. Fairly tale like thanks to a grandmothers love for her grandson. Leads a woman to love she never thought possible. I laughed a lot during this book. Grandma REALLY made this story! The only thing I can say is that it was very cute and easy to read. The H/h were really kindred soles. I wouldn't trip over myself to buy it, but it isn’t a ba ...more

Logan is not only from a wealthy family and has eye candy good looks, but he's also a do-gooder public defender who yearns for a quiet life...not exactly what his family had planned. Catherine is a small business woman with scandal in her family's past. He falls hard and fast for her, but it takes him a bit of "magic" to convince her that he's her Prince Charming and they can have the Happily Ever After.

really enjoyed this story

I enjoyed reading this book. It did draw my emotions and I cared about the characters. They had their own ideas and lived their lives their own way. I would rate it more highly if the premise wasn't so unbelievable. It just happened so quickly, it seemed. Emma was fun. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

Ok I changed it from 3 to 4 stars. It's a 3.5 for me.

Short yet very sweet. even if it was arranged by logan's grandmother emma that he meet catherine, she knew at once that they would be good for each other and indeed they are. loved how catherine stood up for logan and defend herself to his father. also simple gifts from logan means so much to cat and for any girl as long as it is sincere.

Similar to the first, the involvement of these two characters happens in 2 dates and feels completely rediculous. Liked the characters a little better than in the first, but not much. Have the 5 book bundle, but won't continue with the remaining three at this time.
Tonya Warner
Catherine has a bad family reputation and Logan is willing to risk his rich family reputation to get a little close to Cat. Ok, a lot closer to Cat.

A nice story.

The romance was ok, but I've become so weary of bad parents in romance. Rotten rich father of the hero, rotten mother, dead beat missing father of the heroine. OY!!
Kathleen
cute, easy read - i feel like i've said that on a lot of book reviews lately!! but it's the end of summer, so i guess that's what i'm into reading at this point
Judy
An OK read for me. I liked the first book in the series better. This one seemed a bit flat and I never connected with the characters.
Vanessa
ROMANCE! Setidaknya tipe ceritanya jelas *fiuhh*

Bagusan Logan & Cat daripada Kane & Kayla.

Lanjut... Simply Sensual =D

I would give this book 3 1/2 stars...I liked the characters and the plot, but I just felt like it was missing something.
