This book is a cross-over, with short mini-mysteries and activities. It is a fun book and I place it with the other two Judy Moody Activity books. Our detectives or super sleuths are:

Judy Drewdy
Dill Pickles (aka Frank)
Spuds Houdini (aka Rocky)
James Madagascar (aka Stink)

Members of the Judy Drewdy Detective Agency
Toad Pee Tent,
117 Croaker Road
Frog Neck Lake, Virginia

The some of the sections in this book are:
MYODY - Make Your Own Detective Kit
Wherefore Art Thou, Romeo? Mystery #1
Use Your Noggin -

All in all, this is a book mainly geared toward fans of the series who have read the other books and will appreciate the tie-ins with various plot points. Kids who fancy themselves spies or detectives will love the tips they find here, and they’ll gain confidence from solving Judy’s mysteries right along with her.

The 7 1/2 year old boy and I loved the mysteries. Some of the mysteries he could guess and some he had no clue. Kinda perfect. We very slowly deciphered a code in the activity section today-- he enjoyed that too, though it used up most of his reading-before-school time (and required help!) We deeply love Judy and Stink and have read all the books, though I don't think you need to to enjoy the mysteries.

Fun transition to chapter books for the kiddos. 6 mini-mysteries, some logic puzzles, and Judy's advice for being a kid detective. Also a good plug for the classic Nancy Drew series.
