Supernaturally Kissed (Frostbite #1) blew me away. Demonically Tempted is more darker and concentrates more on the case Tess, Kipp and the gang are working on. For me what made Demonically Tempted a outstanding read was the ending. It is a shocker I did not see coming. If it was not for the ending I would of just loved it and given it four stars but Stacey Kennedy through me for a loop with the ending that kept me thinking of it for days that I have to give it 5 stars.

Tess is dealing with Kipp’s sudden possessiveness and could it be, jealousy against the medium the department brought in. As answers in the case are leading Tess to discover new things about her abilities, she feels pulled by what her heart wants and what others are telling her should happen. Tess finally learns her true path just when her heart seems to be pulled from her. She might have found the answers to her cold case, but Tess’ work has just begun for Kipp and their love.

Love will need to battle against the hearts that found it with the presence that wants to end it. Tess learns people will try to force their beliefs on what she and Kipp have in Demonically Tempted. I fell for Kipp and Tess the first time I met them and this next adventure just had me falling for them harder. I thought it was great that Kipp’s department believed enough in Tess and her abilities to bring her on their cold cases team and even arranged for some help for her. Yet, I found the trouble exceeded the help that the medium brought. I enjoyed my glimpses of Tess and Kipp’s relationship and mourned for them on the twist that happened to their relationship. I loved watching Tess overcome the enemy that was hurting the ghosts needing her help. I have to say that the final cliffhanger has me pacing while waiting for the next adventure for Tess and Kipp. If you love this couple like I do, I bet you will be right beside me. Demonically Tempted has the best combo of love, suspense, magic and humor – one that gripped me from the first page until I reluctantly turned the last page.

After I finishing, I knew that I had to Joyfully Recommend this journey that Tess and Kipp found themselves on as a must read and a keeper. I know that it and the first book of their meeting, Supernaturally Kissed, will never leave my reader.

My thoughts:
Demonically Tempted takes up right where Supernaturally Kissed leaves off. You can see my review of Supernaturally Kissed HERE and will see that I loved it. This sequel is also amazing.
Stacey Kennedy has brought back all the characters that I loved from the first book and added some new faces. The new characters are as well created as I expected and I loved and hated them as if they were real people in the lives (so to speak with Kipp being a ghost and all) of Tess and Kipp. Dane...more

My father passed away 5-years ago and I'll tell you there hasn't been a day gone by I wish to hell I could see him, talk to him just one more time. So when I read the blurb for this series I had a feeling it was going to be good. What I didn't realize was that is was going to be awesome.

Tess and Kipp have to be two of the most favorite characters I have loved reading. Tess is just a normal down to earth, girl next door kinda gal, living her life, going to work, being with her friend Carley, who by the way is so funny, I liked her right away, but Tess has this ability that really only Carley knows about. She has the ability to see, hear and talk with ghosts who haven't crossed over yet, she was in a fatal car accident and after being brought back to life woke up with this ability.

Kipp McGowen, a young cop, hot, sexy, funny, kind, did I say hot.....omg this man sizzles, but there's one problem....he's a ghost who is trying desperatly to get Tess to help him. The heat the bounces between Tess and Kipp makes you need to have a cold shower after reading this book, or go make your partner/spouse a very happy person :) So Kipp the hunk needs Tess to help him find out not only who killed him but Hannah as well which is contected to Kipp's death as the story begins. This book is packed full of everything you look for in a great book, funny, shocking, mystery, a love story, sizzling sexy scenes, a fantastic plot and story line that will take you on an incredible rollercoaster ride of emotions with an ending that I DID NOT see coming. I could NOT put this book down, I read it in a day and went on to book #2 and read it in a day.

Book two picks up right where the first one ends, now you really must read them in order to understand and grasp the whole concept to fully enjoy them. The cast of characters is one you will bond with, Eddie, Max, Zach, I'd have to say Zach and Carley are so funny, they are like your best friends, you will laugh out loud at Tess with her bold attitude, she has no problem telling you like it is, she is a call em how she see's em gal, but kind, vulnerable, soft hearted. I really liked Tess she reminded me of myself lol.

This series is one you really don't want to pass by, if your looking for something new, action packed, great love story, sexy, hot as hell scenes, fantastic cast and an outstanding story, this is the series you will want to sit out on your deck in the wonderful sun or take to the beach with you. This is a huge summertime hit and I can't wait until the Fall for book #3, I will probably have withdrawls until I get the third book in my hands. Bravo Stacey Kennedy Bravo!!!! As I reached the final pages of "Supernaturally Kissed", the first book in Stacey Kennedy's Frostbite series, I thought I saw something in the story that was being over looked; little clues being dropped that I expected to have answered by the end of the book. Those answers didn't manifest themselves. By the end of "Demonically Tempted", the second book in the series, those clues were answered, and I was thrilled to see I was right. The answer turned out to be something important and leads into the third book of the series "Mystically Bound." (No SPOILERS, go read both books to find out what it was.)

After her experiences with the police, Tess finds herself working in their Cold Case department. What better witness can they have than to interview the victim of a murder? That's what Tess does; talk to the ghosts. So along with her ghostly hunk of a boyfriend Kipp, she helps solve crimes.

This time, Tess may have gotten into something she can't handle when the ghosts come to her because something is terrifying them. On top of that Kipp has vanished, and Tess worries that she sent him away.

"Demonically Tempted" is a fun paranormal mystery follow up to the original "Supernaturally Kissed." Though it doesn't have the same mystery, and even the ghostly erotic romance of the first, it remains an enjoyable and loving tale of a woman and the man she should never be able to have.

If there is anything that it suffers from, it's what many Act Two stories of a trilogy do. While telling the story at hand, while Tess fights to save lives and ghosts, the book sets up a lot of foundation of the book to follow. The supernatural threat here doesn't feel as dangerous as the human threat in the climax of the first book.

That said, "Demonically Tempted" and Kennedy's writing, remains to be enjoyable ride all the way through to the end even when we're told what Tess must do next and we must wait for the next book "Mystically Bound."

As I said at the start of the review, what I, myself, enjoyed the most was to discover what I had been guessing at was true. Go find out what it is.

I love, love, love this series. It is unique and only Stacey Kennedy can pull off a believable story where the heroine is human and the hero is a ghost . They have to fight for each other, while also fighting crime as Tess takes on her new role as a member of the Memphis PD. This installment proved to be an emotional rollercoaster and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next installment of the series!

Tess is as witty as ever. I love that she is so perfectly flawed and relatable. She has grown to trust her instincts and her abilities and now embraces the ghosts she once ignored. She is in no way fearless as she quakes in her boots each time she is faced with scary situations, this time with a demon, but she is courageous in that she fights her fears and does what she has to do. She doesn't have to worry to much with her ghostly lover by her side.

Kipp is the hero you would never see coming...literally since he's a ghost. Somehow Stacey Kennedy has pulled off creating a ghostly swoon-worthy hero who is fearless, charming, sexy and oozes masculinity,. He may be a ghost of a cop, but he is still on the job helping Tess as she gets the hang of how the PD operates.

Together they are on fire and the scenes between these two will have you all hot and bothered in no time flat. How does "the nasty" work when your partner is a ghost? Well, let's just say they get creative :-)

The side characters are also back and as funny and loving as ever. Some new additions are added to the mix including the ever mysterious Dane Wolfe. He also has special "abilities", and teaches Tess a few tricks to dealing with ghosts. But when he tries to come between Tess and Kipp, the unthinkable happens that changes everything. The cliffhanger ending will leave you stunned and searching for the release date for the next installment of this incredible series.

This is another heart-stopping, action-packed, sexually-charged thrill-ride of a read that will have you racing through the pages and desperately wanting more!

This book goes beyond just the relationship between Kipp and Tess and gives us more of a glimpse into Tess' supernatural abilities and how she gained them. As a result, this book felt like it had a lot more substance than the first (although I ADORED that book.) Things also are transitioning with Kipp, but I am not going to post any spoilers about this story line. You just HAVE to read this book. OMG, I am so excited about where this series is going and the next book cannot come out fast enough.

I just love the characters in this book. Kipp is just....YUM...OMG, I love his character. He's so protective of Tess and just incredibly sweet while maintaining that yummy alpha side that you just have to love. I loved the glimpses of the entire police detective team that Tess is now a part of. I love how she has become part of their family and how they all interact with her. Did I mention how much I love where this series is going??? OMG, I really do! Then there is Tess....hehe. She is so not a cop. She may deal with ghosts every day, but that doesn't mean that she's ready for the scary stuff like criminals. There were some really fun scenes with Zach when she gets scared about the real-life stuff when she's fine with all this supernatural stuff that freaks everyone else out.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this series. If you haven't started it yet, go out and get Supernaturally Kissed today. You will fall in love with Kipp and Tess....really, I think you're going to love them too!!!(less)

Tess is a busy girl. Her life seems to get even busier with this installment of the Frostbite series. She’s working a cold case, meeting with a witch in Salem, and she’s learning new and fascinating things about the world she hoped she was not alone in. I liked Demonically Tempted more than Supernaturally Kissed. I think I needed to get used to the ghost lover idea. Kipp is so hot and their ghost sex is steamy enough that I was able to get more into this book.

Dane, I hated him! He is a necessary character for the book, so he is not one of those characters that can make a reader dislike a book. He is one of those characters that brings so much tension to a book that you can’t stop reading it. He continually points out to Tess that she is ignorant of her ability and that she should do other things with her ability. The ass never offers advice on how to better hone her skills. He just tells her all too often that what she is doing with them is pointless. He also has some very interesting thoughts and opinions about Kipp. I have come to really like Kipp, so I decided to want horrible things to happen to Dane.

The ending definitely gets labeled as cliffhanger. Oh my, what an ending. The revelations about Kipp were shocking to say the least. It was a thought that crossed my mind with Supernaturally Kissed, but I dismissed it. Then when I thought that the resolution would present itself Tess is pulled into a different direction. To say I am screaming I want more and I want it now at my Kindle would make light of the situation. Now I will impatiently wait until Mystically Bound is released in the fall.

Read Supernaturally Kissed first - this is a sequel and isn't a stand alone. :) That said, I absolutely loved Supernaturally Kissed and was rooting for Tess and Kipp to find away to be together, that didn't get solved in the first novel so I was waiting for things to clear up in Demonically Tempted - and nothing really happened on that front until the very end. Good cliffhanger but still I sort of wanted more romance, like the first book had.

The plot is very Mystery, it's a lot more detective work that the first book, there are still emotions tied in there but Tess and Kipp's relationship isn't as front and center as before - and I missed it. Luckily I also enjoy mysteries so this plot wasn't wasted on me. I liked it a lot, but being a ghost buff I immediately knew what was going on, so I was reading Tess figure out things I already knew. All the ghost business was as fun as in the first book and I happily loathed FBI Dane and his judgement of Kipp and Tess, Boo! ;)

Tess seemed more cranky in this book that in the first one, perhaps because Kipp wasn't antagonizing her as much her annoyance was bit much, but I still loved her fiery attitude and her passion and all the more calm moments alone with Kipp. Now Kipp was just as sexy as in the first novel, playful, confident (even though ghost) and the way Kennedy wrote him very much alive and a main character - he doesn't feel like a ghost even though he walks through doors and can eaves drop like no other.

In conclusion... more romance! And with how this book ended I can't wait to read Mystically Bound! It promises more romance and I'm all for that.(less)

I really enjoyed this book, it had a little bit of everything...drama, humor, suspense and love. If you like supernatural stories you will love this one. This is book 2 of the Frostbite series, the first is Supernaturally Kissed.

Tess is thrown into a different kind of adventure for her ghost seeing abilities. First off, she has to try to solve a 10 year case, involving a suicide, that may have not been a suicide. She also has to deal with ghosts coming into her house when...ummm...she's kind of busy with Kipp. Yup...definitely feel sorry for her on that one (what a friggin' steamy scene too with Kipp). Those ghosts that come see her are scared of something that turns out to be evil. The police department brings in Dane to help Tess understand her abilities more...and he also introduces Tess to a Witch in Salem, Massachusetts who ends up helping her in so many ways.
Let's just say, you will have a hard time putting down this book. You'll want to know how Tess gets through everything. I love the storyline in this book and loved the ending. I was right on my theory with Kipp too. =) (not giving away the best part...just read the book to find out). I am a little upset with Kipp in this book though. =( Darn him and his jealousy.
This book is full of suspense, magic, adventure, and romance. Tess is such a strong female character, even though she is scared out of her mind on certain things...but who wouldn't be scared of dealing with a killer in a prison?
I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance, loves ghosts...and loves some humor/sarcasm with their book.
Can Fall hurry up and get here so I can find out what is going to happen between Tess and Kipp? =)

I haven’t read the first in the series “Supernaturally” which did effect my enjoyment of the story a little as I didn’t quite understand the whole background of Kipp and Tess, as well as the Hannah situation being mentioned which I don’t know about due to the lack of reading of the first one, but over all I still got into the story. However I would suggest reading the first one beforehand to help understand what is going on and the characters, not a series you can really read out of order.

Okay, first let me say that I have read the first book in this series and absolutely loved it!!! The first story, Ms. Stacey put me in a world of one woman who's world was crazier than anything else I have seen! She put all the right ingredients together to come up with an awesome, kick ass story. As the story continues, Ms. Stacey did not disappoint me at all!!! The woman has a way with her stories and her style is wickedly awesome. The storyline for her Frostbite series just keeps getting better and better. When you start reading this series, I promise you will want to read till the wee hours in the morning... Because it is just that good. I mean, seriously, the woman has drawn me in and grabbed me by the "I need to know NOW," and has not let me go.... Not even after the last page.

And the story continues... Tess thought her life could not get anymore crazier... For Caspers sakes... She talks to ghost on a daily basis and her lover is a ghost. How much more crazier could her life get, really? LOL. But for Tess, its just a walk in the park... Well, she thought it was until she meets a force that she is not sure what it is.... All she knows is that it is scaring the shit out of ghost. And hell, let's be honest, if it scares the shit out of a ghost, what do you think it would do to Tess!! That is when her life takes a complete nose dive...

But she is lucky to have her ghost lover, Kipp with her every step of the way. This is one man... that loves her with all his heart, is passionate about everything and believes there is no doing anything half ass. When you do something, you do it right!!! Everything is all great and dandy until a new man comes into Tess and Kipp's lives.... That is when the world tilts, flips and dips... And everything changes....

Things will never be normal for Tess, but at least she thought she knew what normal was for her... Until Dane walks in and shakes up her world. Wow, could this story get any better! I mean seriously, I am actually at a lost for how to write my thoughts because all I can think to say is::: GO GET THIS SERIES NOW! This is an awesome series! Everything is awesome about this series... The characters are awesome.... Ms. Stacey took the first book in the series and blew it out the water with this one. The drama, suspense and of course the loving is just the right mix... But you might be asking me...Wait, Kipp is a ghost - how the hell... Let me just tell you... Hot sex talk is... WOW with Kipp!

But seriously, Ms. Stacey, you really really really really really left me hanging in this one! I can't believe you would do that to me. I thought we were tight, lol..... I thought you liked me.... How could you leave me hanging like this! But let me tell you people, even though she left me hanging... I be damn if I am not bugging the shit out of her for the next one!!! Which I know, she is working on right now!!!!!

I liked the story and found the characters that I got to know in the first book still there. We get to know Max the cold case squad leader a little better. There a few new characters, some I like and others that I didn’t.

I am serious though, I was just freaking shocked at what Stacey did in this book, my mouth literally hit the floor. I had a moment of such hope and then it ended. It is going to be hell waiting to find out what is next for Tess and Kipp.

I love how Tess lets everyone know that even though its crazy she is in love with her ghost! Her and Kipp just have this unbelieveable connection and I all I keep thinking when reading them together is why can't you be alive! I love them soo much.

Lets not forget about the side characters. I love Zach, I mean I really really love him he seems to be such a good friend to Tess and Kipp. The whole crew at the police station I love. Then we get some newbies and lets just say I am not a fan of Dane. But the witch, her I like.

Sequel to Supernaturally Kissed. Tess is now a consultant for the police. Using her special ability to solve cold-cases. This time she may have bite off more than she can chew. Exciting, sexy, will make you laugh & cry. Deep, intense emotions, an adrenaline rush in suspense and thrilling moments. A huge fan of ghost stories, I'm very selective and am glad to have had the opportunity to read this one! A tough, yet soft heroine, delicious hero ghost, whose love transcends every reality. Book 1 in this series grabbed me but the characters were a little two dimensional yet. I had confidence in the writer and bought the second. Am I glad. The characters fleshed out as did the plot. Between the ghosts word is spreading fast of what Tess can do. One night she is surprised by the visit of almost dozen of ghosts in her house, they need her help, they want her to vanquish a dark force that is scaring them. If this wasn’t enough the police department brings Dane Wolfe, Dane is a medium that works for the FBI, they brought him in to help Tess tune up her abilities, but his intention are different, he has a hidden agenda that involves Kipp.

Even though I liked and enjoyed Demonically Tempted I had some problems with it. Especially with Tess, the feel I had of her in this book was completely different than the feel I got from her in Supernaturally Kissed; it almost felt as if I was reading a different character, especially during the first part of the book. She was a bit too whiny and her behavior was somehow childish; I really wanted to smack her for grand part of the book, I didn’t have that feeling while reading her in Supernaturally Kissed. At the end Tess got better and I liked her more, but it was almost a little too late.

I loved Kipp, despite being a ghost he is a dreamy and swoon worthy character; his reactions where a bit too much but understandable because of his “non-corporeal” situation. We learned more about him and what we learned was something I suspected in Supernaturally Kissed but I had given up to that idea, I really liked that curveball Mrs. Kennedy threw at us, sneaky, sneaky, sneaky!

In Demonically Tempted we also see the characters we loved in Supernaturally Kissed. Zach is still a sweetheart and a great friend. The cops Max and Eddie are still funny and always there when you need them. One character that surprised me a lot was Tess’ best friend Caley, she has grown a lot, I really liked this new and improved Caley, I think Tess needs some lessons from her.

From the new characters I wanted to kill Dane slowly and painfully, I know he did what he did because he thought he was doing something right and that needed to be done, but I didn’t agree with his “the end justifies the means” way of doing things.
One new character I really liked was the witch Gretchen, she was really nice and understood was Tess was going through and was more than willing to help when the need arise, I really hope to see more of her in books to come.

The end is a cliffhanger-ish but not one of those throw-the-book-to-the-wall ones, it’s one that will leave you eagerly waiting for the next installment of this series, Mystically Bound.

I recommend Demonically Tempted and this series in general to all urban fantasy romance lovers who want something fun, sexy and quick to read, I also recommend reading these books in order.
I’m looking forward to this fall to the release of Mystically Bound.

The addition of Dane to the story just made it that more interesting. You're constantly wondering what his motives really are and whether you should like him or despise him. I'm still not sure how I feel about him. There's a bit of tension between him and Tess that keep you turning the pages in anticipation.

Holy cliffhanger Stacey! I was ready for a climactic ending but nowhere near what I was given! Demonically Tempted has the perfect mix of the paranormal, romance and humor that leaves you hungry for more. With plenty of twists and turns and shocking revelations, this sequel is sure to make you a fan of Ms. Kennedy's work for all time!

This second installment in Stacey Kennedy's Frostbite series picks up a few weeks after the point which Supernaturally Kissed left off. I had a hard time connecting with it right off the bat and I'm not 100% sure why. Maybe it's because everyone has settled in so much to the idea that Tess and Kipp are a couple now. For new readers, Tess is a woman who can see ghosts and Kipp is, well, a ghost. The problems with such a relationship are obvious. But Tess considers Kipp her man --and even calls him her lover-- despite the fact he's just a disembodied spirit.

Tess is part of the police force now, helping the department investigate cold cases. And again, I felt that disconnect. Yes, she proved herself in the last book, but there is no lingering doubts or skepticism or even discomfort from anybody about what she can do. It bothers me to see the ease in which everyone has come to accept her supernatural gifts --to say nothing of the boyfriend that no one else can see or hear.

Tess is working a cold case surrounding an apparent suicide, where the victim's sister is convinced there was more to it. Working with her is Dane, an FBI medium who is there to help her better understand her gift. It's obvious there is something dubious about him right off the bat. Kipp can't stand him... but with Dane's help, Tess learns there is much more to the supernatural world than she ever knew existed.

The author expands the paranormal scope of the world-building to include witches, demons, and perhaps even angels. But as much as that ups the ante, the real heart of the series is the relationship between Tess and Kipp. The two of them get put through the wringer here and it's when their angst kicks up that the story hits its stride.

I really enjoyed the second half of the book. Dane is a great love-to-hate character and I feel like there is much more to him beneath the surface. He's a total prick at times, but he gives voice to the concerns about Tess and Kipp's relationship that I thought were so noticeably absent from everyone else at the beginning. I don't like what he did, but I'm not willing to write him off, either. I found the new character Gretchen to be very interesting. And I liked the journey of personal growth that Tess goes on here. She has always considered her gift to be a curse and now she is learning that with it, she can make a real difference.

The climax of the romance arc is very good. Kennedy opens the door for a real possibility of an HEA at the same time she puts it in terrible jeopardy. And she leaves us with a great/ horrible/ wonderful/ terrible cliffhanger. I am anxiously looking forward to see what she does in the third book --and I pray we get some sex in the flesh. Fantasies can only sustain a girl for so long... 3 1/2 stars.

Demonically Tempted starts off shortly after book one ends off. Tess is now an official staff member of the police department and is about to work her first cold case. Tess is the perfect person to assist in these cases since not only can she see ghosts but she can also communicate with them. Pretty nifty trick. I love Tess’ snark and humor – it’s one of the best parts of the series. As for her gift, in book one Tess wishes she didn’t have it but eventually understands that she could really do some good with it. I loved how she came to terms with things at the end of the first book. But in this book, she seems to be back to not being a fan of things again. I sort of wanted to smack her sometimes while reading because one minute she seemed okay with the idea of helping ghosts find peace then the next minute she was whining like a toddler who just lost dropped his ice cream cone. She was a little all over the place with her role. It is character appropriate but I would have thought that after the way the first book left off that she would have been more comfortable in her skin and in her role as a police ‘assistant’ but instead she complained almost every chance she got. I do love how she progresses in this book and how she takes total ownership of herself by the end of things. I only hope it continues into the next book because as much as I love smart sassy Tess, I am bothered by whiny complaining Tess.

Kipp, a ghost, is yummy as always. I love his ‘caveman’ ways when it comes to Tess and I love how he is with her. He wasn’t as big of a presence in this book as the last but there is a very good reason for that…and when you find out what that reason is you will go “what? really? omg and holy cow and whoa…” all at once. I am referring to the twist/cliffhanger at the end. Don’t worry, it’s not the type that makes you want to gauge your eyes out, but it will make you want Stacey to tell us that she has secretly been working on book three and happens to be releasing today! *looks at Stacey expectantly* *sigh, no such luck* I agree with many when they say that I like where the story seems to be going and I can’t wait to see how this twist plays out. And yes, by the end of this book you will be able to say “aw…so that’s how they are going to get their HEA when this is all over with” which helped relieve some of the wonder I had about that.

There is one character that I didn’t really understand why he was there and that was Dane. Well, I sort of know why he was there but really, remove him from the story and it could still have worked – as long as you replace him with someone else in one little bit crucial scene. But other than that scene that helped snowball events, I just kept calling him ‘jerk’ and wanted him to leave. Yes, that was the point of him but still. I hope he stays gone.

I still adore the police officers that Tess works with. They are all adorable and I want to squeeze their cheeks – which cheeks you decide *wink*. I also really enjoyed Gretchen. She’s a witch and she’s great.

The mystery was enjoyable and the demon twist on the book was also really neat. It was interesting to see how Stacey wrote her demons and their dimensions and how witchcraft came into play too. Quite cool.

Overall, I like where Tess ended up in this book and I like the direction the series is taking. I am very interesting in founding out how Stacey is going to get Tess and Kipp out of the mess she created for them at the very end. I’m sure it’s going to be a bumpy ride for them but totally worth it in the end.(less)
