Josh is book 2 in the Wyoming Sky series by R.C. Ryan. I loved it! Honestly, I read a couple of not so friendly reviews about this book and was really less than enthusiastic about reading even though book 1 showed a lot of promise. I am so glad that I didn't let those reviews stop me from picking this one up. It was so much better than the first book.

Josh Conway is the middle son in the Conway family. He makes his living contributing to the very profitable family ranch. He is also the man that...more

Josh is the second book in the Wyoming Sky series, and I have to say this series is making me a fan of RC Ryan!! I will be looking into her backlist! These are strong loyal men with true hearts of gold!!

Josh Conway is the one the rangers call when a climber gets lost on the mountains, and they can’t find them. Josh grew up sneaking out of the house to climb more so after his mother’s disappearance. He is all set to help his brothers...more

2.5 stars:

I don't know why this didn't move me more than it did. I liked the main pair and loved the family but something just didn't work for me.

Josh is a great guy. A loner most of his life he is called out to rescue a missing climber. He ends up meeting an amazing woman who he is instantly attracted to both from a physical perspective and from his glimpse of her personality. What starts as a rescue ends up becoming more than he expected and it was nice to see.

This is book 2 in the Wyoming Sky series. Josh is the middle son. As a young boy after the disappearance of his mother he used to hike the Teton mountains on his families property. It was his way of finding peace. He had special places on the mountain he would go and just think and be. As a grown up he's the one they call when the professionals can't find missing hikers. This is what he thinks he's doing when he finds photographer Sierra Moore in a tent in the middle of a blizzard. Thing is she'...more
The Window Seat
This is the book that every reviewer dreads. In fact, it is the book that every reviewer at The Window Seat REALLY dreads. It is the book that takes you WAAAY out of your comfort zone. As fate would have it, none of us are into contemporary westerns. Set the western back a few hundred years, and I might be tempted, but the three of us generally avoid these books like the plague. But when you have to review them, you have to remember that the book by its nature is unappealing and look beyond it t...more

Ok, I mentioned in my updates while reading this that a few things bugged me. One of the things I mentioned was the Irish character's repeated use of the words "boyo," and "lass." Now, I'm Irish, and have lived in Ireland all my life and have lived all over Ireland, and have never once heard an Irish person use either of these words, unless they were impersonating an American person impersonating an Irish person. Honestly, nobody speaks like this, and it's writing like that which causes me to av...more

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads in exchange for a review.

I believe I might have found a new favorite Western/Romance writer! R.C. Ryan's tale was witty, exciting, heart-warming, dangerous, and sexy! I fell in love with rancher/rescuer hero Josh Conway. His character as a capable rancher and a smart fearless mountain rescuer was very appealing. His family was very lovable and I quickly was smitten by all the wonderful family scenes featured.

This has turned out to be a wonderful series. I enjoyed Quinn and I loved Josh. R. C. Ryan writes sweet, sexy and suspenseful romance books that will keep you on the edge of your seat at times and make you sigh at other times. Sierra was a strong and loving person even though she was basically left to raise herself and felling life was full of lies. Josh was always surrounded by the people he loved and he shows Sierra what love and family means.
I highly recommend this series to everyone. Oh and...more

Not realizing that Josh was 2nd in a series, it is the first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it, and am getting ready to go back and read the book that comes first, Quinn. I enjoyed the main characters in this book, Josh Conway and Sierra Moore, and I thought the secondary characters were likeable. I look forward to reading more about this group of characters.

Josh Conway is often called upon for mountain rescues in his area, and he is asked to check on a hiker who is late returning fr...more

A very cute, heartwarming story. A "lost" hiker, Sierra Morrre, is found in the middle of a snow storm in the Teton's by none other than the infmous Josh Conway. Sierra has given up on love being a true thing because her parents never got married and she now believes tha men will say empty words to get a women into her bed, but her heart starts to tell her otherwise when a stranger comes into her tent. Josh loves to climb mountains, ever since he was little, and when the rangers can't find a los...more

Sweet romance with some drama and a sometimes dumb heroine. Fell a little flat on occasion and rather rushed through the romance part.

The male MC (Josh) in this story was nicely developed, as was the female MC (Sienna). The book centers around the Conway family, who lives on a large ranch in Wyoming. Josh is a rancher who is also very familiar with the surrounding mountains, so when the rangers call him about a missing female hiker, Josh sets out to find her.

What he doesn't know is that Sienna...more

Enjoyed the second book in this series. The relationship of the family was very heart-warming. Couldn't wait to get to the end. It was a very easy read. Sometimes you just need a book where you can simply enjoy and not have to overly think.

A great addition to the newest series. I really have enjoyed the Conway family and getting to meet them all. I love their tradition and stubbornness. Can't wait to see what Jake brings.

Chicklit. Fairy tale. I won it. I read it. I am giving it away to someone who may enjoy it. Save the trees from pulp fiction!

This was a wonderful follow up to "Quinn", the first book in the trilogy.

I really enjoyed the love story between Josh and Sierra. I enjoyed the big Conway family with all the wonderful characters and I also like the thrill in the story. Everything fitted together and left me with a happy feeling after reading.

I really enjoy reading such love stories without much drama. The thriller story was a bit predictable but that didn't make the book any less good or fun for me.

Looking forward for the third...more

I was a GoodReads First Read winner.

I really loved the characters and the setting of the book. Really wanted to love the book, but it just fell short to really liking it. That being said, I really want to read Jake’s story. Hopefully the disappearance of Seraphine is solved in it.

The first book in the series was weak so I was hoping for some improvement with the second. That didn't happen. The female lead was irritating and the conflict was lame. Not sure I will go on to the third book.
