Getting more insight into the rift and how and why people were transported through dimensions was very interesting. I had been curious about it since reading Kiss of the Vampire, the first book in the series. Into the Rift not only answered questions I was dying to know the answers to but also set up Tori and Dante's book, Secret of the Wolf. Can't. Frakkin. Wait. June 26th is a huge book release day for me and it can't come soon enough.

I wish I had read this before reading Kiss of the Vampire. It added some backstory which certainly came in handy. Now I have to find out which others have been released in this world.

Be advised that about 1/2 of this is a excerpt from one of the books.

2 stars = ok; This was an exceedingly short little peek into the Rift from the other side - which was sort of interesting in that we see how two of the characters from the other side come to be stripped of their bodies and end up supernatural beings after being pushed through the Rift to our world. Sirina Lan Maro's story makes a fast-paced fun read and adds interesting layers to the world-building that was introduced in "Kiss of the Vampire." Cynthia Garner's "Warriors of the Rift" series promises to be entertaining for many books to come!

This one was interesting as it showed so many of the prets in their previous life and just why they ended up going through the rift. I liked the connections to the characters when they were on both sides of the rift.

Cynthia Garner discovered her love for making up stories at the age of twelve when her teacher told her to write a story that started “It was a dark and stormy night…” But she didn’t think about making it a profession until 2005, when she began entering—and winning—writing contests.

Under her alternate ego Sherrill Quinn she has three Kensington Brava paranormal romance books and a novella as part...more
