Dear Reader,
I've been wishing for a miracle for my oldest boy, Stone, and this Christmas my prayers might just be answered!

Her name is Lark, and she's here in Last Chance, looking into her father's past-and stirring up a whole mess of trouble without meaning to. As the chief of police, Stone sure has his hands full trying to keep up with her. Ever since his wife died, Sto

Who doesn't LOVE a great Christmas story...and this certainly was a beautiful story about a chance at love a second time around, and opening our hearts to new possibilities. We have seen Stone throughout the complete series and he was grumpy and surly and just a Grinch. But why? We heard a bit here and there but never knew the full reasons or what happened between Stone and Sharon from when they were eighteen to now. We finally get all of our answers in
Very good book. Lark has come to Last Chance to scatter her father's ashes at the Golfing for God putt-putt course. She doesn't understand why, but it was his last request so that's what she'll do. When she arrives she discovers that there are some roadblocks to carrying out her plans. Her father was not the most popular guy to have visited the town and there are secrets that are about to be stirred up. She needs to get permission from multiple people to fulfill her father's wishes. And the loca ...more

I had really been wanting to read a book from Hope Ramsay’s Last Chance series, the titles and covers just looked appealing to me. So when given the opportunity to read and review Last Chance Christmas I jumped at the chance. It lived up to my expectations. I love small town romance series and this one fits the bill in my book.

"The Last Chance" by Hope Ramsay was my first read from this author and I found it a nice romantic 'Christmas Holiday' novel with a bit of paranormal. I did find this novel some what very interesting as it deals with 'racial issues' many years ago dealing with ...'black and white couples in the sixty's, teenage drinking, prejudiced of different faiths and the horrors of wars.

Last Chance Christmas was a sweet romance with a bit of mystery added in. I really liked the characters of Lark Aiken and Stone Rhodes, and enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Stone's girls and the townspeople added to the book. I enjoyed the storyline, and look forward to more from this series.

I really liked this book! It was a sweet story. It's wasn't overly dramatic with the romance, it was set at a nice pace and with a little murder mystery to go with it as well. I couldn't put the book down, I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. The desription of the town was amazing, I pictured it so clearly while reading the story, made me feel like I was part of Last Chance lol. I highly recommend it.

This is the first "Last Chance" book I've read, but I really enjoyed it! I'll go back and look up the previous books to see what fun I've missed out on. Loved the small town setting, and the characters were a lot of fun too!

I must admit, I'm wasn't a huge fan of the Last Chance series. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with the series. I just didn't really connect with the characters from reading the sample of the second book, Home at Last Chance, thus I didn't go back to reading the series until Last Chance Bride. I did read the first book, Welcome to Last Chance and the anthology, I'll Be Home for Christmas, which I LOVED.

In my opinion, I think

About 6 months ago, I read and reviewed Last Chance Beauty Queen by Hope Ramsay.

Last Chance Christmas picks up in a similar place. Only this time, the focus is on Stone Rhodes. He is the sheriff in Last Chance. He's also a widow, with two young daughters, one of whom sees angels. This story follows his unexpected journey to loving again, it promotes acceptance on many levels.

Lark Chaikin has just arrived in the small town of Last Chance, South Carolina where she intends to leave her father's ashes on a "Golfing for God" mini-golf course per his last wishes. She's still grieving and totally shocked when she meets the town's Chief of Police, Stonewall ("Stone") Rhodes. Before he tells her she can't leave the ashes, he makes some comments that indicate she will not at all be welcome in this town since it's believed that her father caused the death of Stone's grandfathe ...more

Oh my goodness, Hope Ramsay sure knows how to write a romance that will pull on your heartstrings! I've read a couple of the other books in the Last Chance series, but I have to say this Christmas romance with Stone and Lark is by far my favorite one!

Stone is the chief of police in Last Chance, and he's dealt with a lot when it comes to the heart; he married his wife when he was only 18 and she died in a car crash, leaving him with their two little girls. About 6 years later, Lark Aiken, a pulit

Last Chance Christmas was a decent story but it left me feeling unfulfilled. I have no doubt that Hope Ramsay is an excellent story teller, however, this book was a bit too churchy for the likes of this reader. I enjoyed both main characters of Lark and Stone and thought they were well wrote. I didn’t even mind the angel scenario the story had, but to be honest I was unsurprised by the outcome of the “imaginary angel’ that Stone’s youngest daughter Haley was seeing. It was the constant Christian ...more
Hope Ramsay’s Last Chance Christmas is a quirky contemporary romance, filled with characters who’re just a little bit more — a little bit more wacky, a little bit more offbeat, a little bit more well, quirky. Set in a small town (the Last Chance of the title), everybody knows everybody and their business, which makes for some entertaining dialog.

Last Chance, South Carolina was a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business and where everyone had an opinion to offer. But when Lark Chaiken entered the town to spread her father's ashes on the 18th hole of the town's miniature golf course, she had a divided town's interest. Some people wanted her run out of town, other's embraced her. Some served up bigotry and others, not so much.

This was the story of a man who served the law and protected the people. Stone Rhodes was the chief

Lark Chaikin has come to Last Chance, South Carolina to fulfill her father’s last wish—to have his ashes spread across the 18th hole of the Golfing for God putt-putt course. She soon finds out this won’t be an easy task—the course is owned by Elbert Rhodes, who blames her father for the death of his father some 40 years ago. She finds herself attracted to the chief of police, who just happens to be Elbert’s son, Stone Rhodes.

This book begins as a simple romance, but you are quickly drawn into a

I have been waiting so long for Stone's story!! He is a miserable, lonely grump in all the stories, and I was really anxious for some background on him, and to see who the incredible woman would be that could break him out of his shell. Because let's face will take someone incredible to get through all that hostility.

Stone lost his wife, years ago. Ever since then, he concentrates solely on work. He even leaves most of the care of his two daughters up to his mom.

This is a delightful cozy series. I decided that I was in the mood for a light uplifting read and Last Chance Christmas filled that requirement. Like the other books in Hope Ramsay's Last Chance series, Last Chance Christmas is set in Last Chance, South Carolina. A small southern down where old values and customs rule the day. There is something interesting going out at the Golfing for God mini golf owned by the Rhodes family. And it seems to involve angels. And what better time for angels to a ...more

In the past books all we have seen of Stone was how after many years he is still mired down in his grief over his dead wife. I wasn't sure how the author would manage to get over this fact. I had already figured out who the Sorrowful Angel was. I liked how the Angel took more of a role in the book. I also really liked that Stone's girls were at the forefront of the story. Lizzy is a spitfire, I really liked her way of looking at the world.

I was surprised by how much Lark's arrival rocked the bo

How can you get in trouble for believing you see angels? Just ask young Haley Rhodes. And her angel isn’t even happy; she weeps so much that Haley calls her Sorrowful Angel. And this angel isn’t the only one with problems in this small South Carolina town called Last Chance. Haley and her older sister live with their widowed father, chief of police Stonewall Rhodes. Welcome to the world of Hope Ramsay. This was my first of her books and it won't be the last. This was a cute story told at Christmas time, which was oh so fitting with one of the main characters being an angel and all. I loved the little town of Last Chance. The characters were each unique and pretty sassy. (I love me a southern story!) Stone was a shell of a man after the loss of his wife six years ago. Lark was broken on the inside after years of covering war stories and the tragedies that br ...more
