Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, s

It's always such a treat to read a book by Jill Shalvis because I know I'm guaranteed to love it! Time after time, she weaves tales that sweep me up and set me down in a place I'd love to live, with people I want to call friends, family, or the love of my life.

And sometimes when I'm reading a book, I try to imagine what it's like for the author when writing the story. Do they bite their nails, fiddle with their hair, or gaze out the window? Well, whatever it is Jill Shalvis does, it works, becau
I adore Jill Shalvis as an author, she has niche for writing books that pull you in by the strength of her characters and in a continuation of her amazing Lucky Harbor series she gives us the story of the second member of the Chocoholics Amy Michaels, pairing her up with Supervisory Forest Ranger Matthew Bowers.

We have met Amy in the previous books and she works at the diner and is closed off and tough as nails and not much is known about her past and she prefers it that way. She is a survivor a
4 stars – Contemporary Romance

Three words should be incentive enough to read this...Ranger Hot Buns! Okay...that and Jill Shalvis pens wonderful contemporary romances, evident with another great addition to the Lucky Harbor series.

Matt, former Navy and Chicago SWAT officer and Lucky Harbor’s resident Forest Ranger (Hot Buns) is a sexy, swoonalicious hero, but Sawyer from Head Over Heels is still my favorite.

I’m looking forward to the next book, Forever and a Day.

At last we get Matt Bowers’ story. I have been waiting for his book for a long time. And when I’m eagerly anticipating a book, my expectations begin to rise. Fortunately, Jill Shalvis continues to write stories that touch reader’s hearts and create laughter in the most unexpected times. The Lucky Harbor series has been a complete thrill to read!

This is one of the best books I've ever read. Totally, completely loved it. The awesome characterization, the mega-hot love scenes, the laugh-out-loud humor, all the emotion, the plot, *everything!*
Just ordered the next one for my iPad so I can read it as soon as it's available.
Really great stuff!

Jill Shalvis, I said before I was all packed and ready to move to Lucky Harbor. Well, I'm still waiting on those instructions you promised!

Though, I wouldn't mind getting, er, lost! Especially if lost means getting rescued by "Ranger Hot Buns" himself...

This story was all about following the good trail...

Ooops, my bad, I really meant trail.

... to find the right path.

5/5 Stars

Ok where do I start, I think the first point to make is that I loved it and thought it much better than the previous one. When I saw that the next 3 books in the series were ready to be released I was over the moon as I love reading about Lucky Harbor and some of the side characters we meet – especially Lucille, she sure is a tough and game old bird :)

We first met Amy in the first 3 books and we always knew that she had emotional scars but was never told much about her and knew that she

Jill Shalvis has done it again!! What a fantastic story this was! This one had me smiling from the first page to the last. It was funny, warm, charming, hopeful, and downright sexy! Shew! These two had chemistry, let me just say. I loved it, from beginning to end!

With the fifth installment in her very popular Lucky Harbor series, Jill Shalvis doesn’t disappoint! Once again she has given us a fun, sexy and entirely appealing contemporary read!

Update #2:
When I got the email from NetGalley telling me that I had a copy of At Last ready to download I was thrilled! Not only because it’s the first book I’ve gotten approval for in awhile, but because I love Jill Shalvis, and I love her Lucky Harbor series almost better than any other series she has written.
This is the story of Matt AKA Ranger Hot Buns and Amy the cranky waitress. I knew it would be good after all the little teases in Lucky in Love, but their story was so much more! Amy, t

I enjoyed Amy and Matt's story. Amy is tough but sweet and Matt is HOT.

I love when we get the chocoholics together they are so funny lots of LOL moments. The bromance between the guys Ty, Matt & Josh I also love just imagining them in the gym WOW.

“Matt hit the floor with a wheeze, and then it was Ty's turn to be smug. "Gotcha."

Hell, no. They'd been at it for thirty minutes, and Matt was exhausted to the bone, but the last one down had to buy breakfast. Kicking out, he knocked Ty's feet from

It's no secret that I've become a massive fan of Jill Shalvis since I started reading the Lucky Harbor series so of course I couldn't wait to start reading the fifth instalment At Last. I have been looking forward to finding out more about Ranger Hot Buns Matt for ages now and he didn't disappoint!

4.00 Stars - Contemporary/Small Town Romance!

A cute story with sweet protagonists very much in love. Very happy to read this one since it was another winner. No surprise! It had a generous spell of triumphant romance, catching humor and red-hot passion attached to it from beginning to end. The writing was so good and authentic, that you are bound to feel like knowing these characters for real. It re-visits some of the previous people of our favorite town Lucky Harbor along its path and introdu
I've been eagerly awaiting this book ever since reading Lucky in Love. Matt and Amy had excellent chemistry in the first book of this trilogy, although they seemed to just be circling around one another for the greater portion of that book.

At Last begins with a bang as Amy is lost in the woods during a hike and Matt is brought in to rescue her. These two share unbelievable chemistry, and as tough as Amy is, Matt definitely has the ability to chip away at the many layers of protection that she ha

Love this series, and this is another comfortable, very sexy read from Shalvis. Well written, hot chemistry, wonderful characters, and some darker topics in the heroine's younger life, but there wasn't major exploration of the problems to damage the fun playfulness of the story or series. Amy, the h, had a hidden past she was ashamed of and therefore was very closed and standoffish. Matt, a forest ranger, has a definite attractio

I have come to the conclusion that to read a book by Jill Shalvis is essentially a guarantee that I am going to love what I am reading. At Last is no exception. I loved it! Simple as that!

At Last deals with the love story of Amy and Matt. Although this did not dampen my love of the book, I found that I did not connect with Amy as much as some of the other heroines in Shalvis’ previous books in this series. We got to know Amy a little in the previous book (Lucky in Love) and we see that Amy keeps

I feel like I am just banging the same drum with all my reviews about this series! But once again, another great addition to the series!

Amy, who had taken a few detours through down-on-her-luck and then past Bad-Decisionville was on the right path now! That path did not include men! She loves her new life, she loves her new friends! But, she is closed off and tight lipped about her past!

But, Matt Bowers AKA Ranger Hot Buns, was lethal to her peace of mind.

Just when I thought I couldn't find another man in Lucky Harbor to love or one to dethrone Sawyer as my Lucky Harbor boyfriend, Ranger Hot Buns (aka Matt Bowers) proves he should be at the top of the list.

Matt Bowers left Chicago and his disaster of a life behind to seek solace in the quiet of the National Parks surrounding Lucky Harbor. While the memories still affect him, he's moved on to build a life that makes him mostly happy. What would make him even happier was if "Eat Me" waitress Amy Mi

At last is the fifth book in the Lucky Harbor series By Shalvis. It was slow getting started and at one point of the book I was saying yada yada same old tale I have heard before just differenct character names. A friend urged me to read a bit more and I am glad that she did. It was not predictable. At least it didn't go the route I expected at all. The deceased grandma plays a big part in the book and when you begin to see the several layers to the story it becomes very enjoyable to read. Compl ...more

I’m a huge fan of Jill Shalvis, but for me, this story fell a bit flat. I’m not exactly sure why, all the normal formula elements were there. We have Lucky Harbor and it is my kind of fictional place. We have Matt who we have really enjoyed watching evolve. We have Amy and her mysterious story. We learn more about her this time around and we really want her to find her Hope, Peace, her Heart and her place to be. I think the story just didn’t evolve as planned. Not sure if it was poor plan
A completely awesome read! Amy and Matt have been circling around one another for months. The sparks fly between the two of them, but as they have both been hurt and no longer trust themselves or in the power of love. But one day Amy ends up lost in the woods and since Matt being a forest ranger, he is the one on duty and rescues Amy much to her chagrin. Amy comes off has a hard-ass chic toward Matt, but it is all for show as she has a marshmallow heart against his sexy sweetness. Especially as ...more

Sweet story, but not my favorite of the series. Seemed as if they really had to force the relationship. I loved that Matt was pining for Amy during the previous book, but I felt more of a connection between them then than I did here. Still, once their romance really got going and I figured out what was wrong with Amy, it was more believable. I know how the past can stay with you and it was wonderful to see her come out of her shell and open up to not just Matt, but the rest of Lucky Harbor.

Jill Shalvis, hands down, write's the best heroes; EVER. Every time I think I have a favorite and that he just can't be topped, I am proved wrong again, and sexy forest ranger Matt is on the top of my list of all time fav's. His masculinity oozed off of the pages making the job of forest ranger equivalent to being a dragon slayer. Delicious!!

This book, as all of the rest in this fantastic series, features the characters we've all come to know and love and it just keeps getting better. I love how
It will be a sad day indeed if Ms Shalvis ever decides to quit writing. At Last is the 5th installment of the Lucky Harbor series and, of course, another winner. How can one town have so many hunk-alicious men? I'm packing my bags, girls, and moving to Lucky Harbor! Well, I would if my hubby would let me.

I read this book in a day (when I should be writing my own book, y'all!). What can I say? Jill's books hook me and I can't stop reading them. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. She has a smooth way of writing, and her characters--oh, her characters. How can you not love them? Amy has issues that make your heart clench and Matt--well, Matt is another to-die-for hero. You can't help rooting for their Happily Ever Atter. Their chemistry is off the charts and smoking hot and the romance makes ...more

At Last is book five in the Lucky Harbor series, but it is really book two of three in this second set of trilogies. While I liked the previous book, I think At Last really brings back that great chemistry and sexual tension that I loved in the original three books of this series.
