13 Secrets (Thirteen Treasures #3)
Fairies never forget...
Happy with life at Elvesden Manor, Rowan is doing her best to put the past behind her. But it's tough to forget the past when fairy messengers won't leave her be, no matter how many magic...more
I enjoyed this conclusion to the "13 Treasures" series quite a bit. The characters were well done and I loved Rowan especially. The villain was appropriately creepy once he\she appears hell bent on revenge. The plot twist was thought out and, I must say, I didn't see it coming. I wanted more backstory on many things but, alas, was not given it as much as I hoped. But I did find the ending closed with...closure but not enough of it. I would have really appreciated another 50 pages or so...more
but the rest was so hard to get through! I'm probably never going to re-read the trilogy again because of this book however if you have read the first two b...more
This was quite an enjoyable trilogy overall, all three of the books individually and as a set were good reads. Technically they could probably be read separately, though the reader would be missing quite a bit by doing so or by reading them out of order.
This was a strange ending to the trilogy, as it seems quite a few loose ends were left untied, but I may have misunderstood and Harrison may have been planning this as an ongoing series, not a trilogy. I think I ma...more
This novel brings together the two stories that were weaved in the first two novels. Tanya is trying to come to a deeper understanding of what it means to have the second sight and a fey guardian. Rowan is trying to lead a normal life and leave the past behind her. But, of course, both girls have unfinished...more
Her past is about to catch up with her, but can she, Tanya and Fabian prevent it consuming her alt...more

Now I'm not going to talk about the plot so much as you have to have read the 2 prequels to fully...more
I never expected to read such a delightful story with such magic and secrets.
It's been a while of wanting to sit tight in front of my computer and think about how to convince people to read a book I loved. But here I am with my cup of tea, hammering my head to think of appropriate words to praise this book.
As a huge fan of "fantasy" genre, sometimes I just need to go back to these magical worlds where there is no romance involved. Pure imaginations where chil...more
Believe it or not, I thought this book was better than its other books. Thank the stars for that too.
Red is the protagonist of the story, which was disappointing because I like Tanya better. Anyway, Red is trying to escape her past and live a normal life. Unfortunately, she runs into a group of people who are involved with the changeling trade. For some reason, members of the group start dropping like flies. Red starts to investigate the deaths of these poor souls. Then s...more
In this book, Rowan is reunited with the Coven. The Coven are a group of thirteen members that all try to switch changelings with their human counterparts. Rowan used to be involved with them, but stopped all contact with them after she found her "brother" (who actually turned out to be her cousin). She becomes in touch with them again after she meets a girl on the street who has a...more
I enjoyed being in Tickey End and walking to the bus stop, I could imagine it all. And I always felt like I was back at a place where I had been a long time ago, when I started the next book. It's a story that took my breath away, a few times actuall...more
Apparently that is the message of the last book in the 13 series by Michelle Harrison.
With more magic, intrigue, and plot twists- this book provides a satisfactory conclusion to the series.
I enjoy the characters Michelle creates in her stories. The Auburn-haired rough and tough Rowan is a strong, young female character that reminds me of Marida in the disney movie, "Brave" does not give up- and keeps searching for answers. Tanya, quite milder than Rowan, however s...more
Happy with life at Elvesden Manor, Rowan is doing her best to put the past behind her. But it's tough to forget the past when fairy messengers won't leave her be, no matter how many magical boundaries are put in place to keep them away.
When Tanya arrives to spend the summer at the manor, she notices that Rowan is acting strangely and becomes determined to find out what she's hiding. As Rowan sets about a risky secret quest, those she is working with soon begin to vanish one by...more
First of all, I really disliked Warrick in this book. I dislike him so so much about how easy it is for a petty "OH-I loved her so much" to "gosh I really like her mom." Warrick, I could throw a rock at your head.
Other than some petty annoyance in some characters of the book... I can say I really enjoyed it. The ending was nice (except Warrick and Rose) and sad. Brilliant vibrant characters added in. Good story line and great melli...more
