Too funny. Forget the sex, Ethan had me laughing out loud - he was so adorable. The relationship between Harrison (Hawk) & Angel was okay - the fact that there was no drama was an added bonus. Would love to read a sequel just to see what Ethan and Sweet Pea (Cerrie) are up to. Great job.
Marine Harrison loses his wife to breast cancer. He has one more year of duty and decides to leave his very young son, Ethan, with is sister in law Trudy. After he returns, he moves with his son to Florida. Well, Lord and behold, he just happens to move across the street from a beautiful African American woman, Angel, who is also a widowed. She is so sweet, she brings him a casserole dish when she sees him moving in and the romance begins. What does he say when she brings the dish, in his mind o...more
Harrison Calloway’s wife died after they had been married twenty-two years. She died from breast cancer, leaving him a single dad to their son Ethan. Harrison is able to retire from the Marine Corps and is starting his life with his son on his own. Angel Robbins lives next door to where Harrison and his son settle down. She owns the neighborhood child care center, and is a widow. When they meet the sparks fly. Maybe if they both do not let their pasts get in the way they can find love with each...more
Like other people said it was a drama free ir romance, which was nice. My only problem is that I didn't feel the characters passion for one another. Their conversations in the beginning of the story were very weak. The way their sexual relationship developed was weird there wasn't any longing, the author didn't tell us that they were extremely attracted to each other, they just jumped in the sack and had their first kiss as they were about to make love. It just came out of nowhere. The best part...more
This is the first book I have read by this author. I like military love stories with happy endings and the characters were also very well written. It was great to read about the relationship between Harrison and Angel and the antics of baby Ethan was enough to create a smile, sometime a laugh while reading. This is a great feel good/no drama read. There was also enough sensuality between Harrison and Angel to keep me turning the pages!!!! 5 stars!
the book is about Angel and Harrison and baby Ethan, they are neighbors and both have been widowed for about two years, they hit it off and start as dating to being a couple and married, the books is a good read, and the puts all the characters in the story so no one is left out. the dynamics of a single father and an independent woman. the book is funny and fast paced,
Great drama-free IR romance. Hawk and Angel share an immediate attraction and try to navigate thru their relationship. Hawk's toddler son claims Angel for his own and gives his father the blues. Great story filled with romance, laughter, hot sex and nutty children.
