Honor Student (Honor #1)
by
Teresa Mummert (Goodreads Author)
Emma lives a very self-destructive life, barely making her way through college. Her world is turned upside down after meeting Mr. Honor, her new history teacher whose idea of discipline may be a little too much for Emma to handle. While trying to figure out their new relationship, they also have to deal with the very real possibility that someone has discovered their secre...more

This book was so bad I couldn't get past 40 pages, which was a struggle in itself. While I can't say if the spelling and grammar errors were due to the ebook copy I'd gotten, the sentences on their own were bad enough to make me unable to get through most of it. If you enjoy someone who can't write a decent compound sentence, this book is for you! The fact that a writer would make constant use of 3-5 word sentences and sentence fragments left me feeling like I was in a car with a student driver...more
I enjoyed this book, but did struggle at times with some thing that confused me....mr honor just seemed mean and hurtful. Towards the end he totally changed for the good and I will enjoy the next book from his pov so I can fill in some of the pieces. As far as Emma...she was pretty freaking trusting of him. His temper would have scared me to death.
I am definitely looking forward to the third book. Anyone know when it's coming out?

As I am a sucker for a rich, bossy Dom... I absolutely loved the story!

Why a 4 then? Well in some things I felt the story a bit too rushed and there is almost an expectation for the reader to fill in the blanks by themselves. Other then that I developed a sub crush on William the Conquerer and Dom crush on Emma.
Can't wait to read their developing love story through William's POV

'
Honor Student
' is a fast paced (sometimes alil too fast) erotica based on an unlikely couple who find solace and comfort in each other..Both in and out of the bedroom.
The classical Teacher-Student relationship has been one of my guilty pleasures/fetishes for a long time and this puts me right into the eyes of someone that is experiencing just what I crave. The perfect amount of naughtiness to 'stroke the fires below'! Plus, there is something about a teacher named William that is just so SMEX...more

2.5 stars Honor Student really had potential but the fact that it was rushed, riddled with grammatical errors, completely unbelievable, and sometimes completely confusing left me no choice but to rate it poorly. Emma was a college student and not a high school student wasn't believable from how she was portrayed. First off Emma is 21, not 17.... I know you're shocked too right?!? From having to "check in" with her aunt and the way the college atmosphere is described (what college professor cares...more
I dont know how i feel about this book it was sort interesting but had similities to 50 shades of grey with the controlling and stalker factor. William has some problems mostly brought on by his past relationships that he is trying to fight through to be with Emma. Emma is a lot like Anna because this is her 1st relationship so everything in new to her.
Honor student is the story about College student Emma and her History professor Mr Honor.
Honor is a dark and dangerous man with very singular tastes. He is unattached towards any human emotions, after a nasty experience. Can he find it in himself to exorcise his demons and love again?
Emma is on a course to self-destruction. After loosing her parents she moves to Florida to live with her aunt. Life is pretty uninteresting for Emma until she meets her history professor. She is attracted to him and...more

I love this series thus far. I love how Teresa has done it from two points of view and you really can get in with the characters on both sides and see where they come from. I've read this book twice so far and will read it again before the other books are to be released.
Keep reading... Book 2 is amazing so much more is going on than Emma is aware of!
Emma has lost everyone who has mattered to her and has been sent to live with her Aunt Judy to complete her college education.
Cue Mr. William Honor...a hot and dangerous teacher wielding a ruler.
They have instant chemistry even though he is her history teacher.
William tries to stay away from Emma but he is addicted to her.
Beware all is not what it seems in this love story..don't stop with this book book two is a...more

I don’t know what to say about this book---- I guess you cannot see the wtf expression I’m wearing right now after finishing the damn book, therefore I’ll have to try to tell you how I feel towards this reading:
It started out just fine: hot teacher Vs student. This is some kind of fantasy some of us (while being students, that is) have, so why not writing/ reading about it? I also liked the sex scenes, although I thought they were plain written. In fact, the whole story is plain and the w...more

★★★★★! I highly recommend this series. I couldn’t put it down.
Wonderful! I looked at this series for weeks not realizing that it would be one of the most enjoyable and sexiest books/series I have ever read. Hero, William Honor (29 years/dark brown hair/blue eyes) is better than Christian Grey (!) in class with Gideon Cross, albeit darker. He will stay with you for awhile, especially book 2 written from his POV. I wish Ms. Mummert would let us know how many books total… will a Book 5/6 end series...more

Interesting story but had absolutely no depth. Seemed like she was trying to hard to write a story. But left out way too much. Also seemed to be tryin to copy 50 shades of grey and it wasn't working. There were way too many grammatical errors for me and I don't see how they published this unless they didn't have an editor. It was very hard to connect with the characters considering there wasn't any information. The author never went in depth to say how the main character felt about anything. Nev...more
Not exactly what I was expecting, but I'm glad I read the second book. Book 1 doesn't give you the depth that seems to be lacking...that is certainly addressed in the book 2. If I hadn't read some of the reviews not sure I would have purchased the second.....and I'm certainly glad I did. Definitely a different writing style but when you read as much as I do you it's a nice change of pace.
1.5
While reading this book, I can't help myself to think that it has a lot of resemblance with Gabriel's Inferno (teacher-student relationship) and Fifty shades of Grey . Some parts really made me smile because of the similarity with the scenes in Fifty shades and it made me remember those moments! Though the story was okay, but it didn't work for me and can't say that its good because I think it lacks character development and it didn't stir my emotions. :)
I enjoyed this book. Honor Student is written from Emma's point of view. Honor Thy Teacher is part 2 and it's written from Williams point of view. Once you read Honor Student go rignt onto Honor Thy Teacher because you learn alot more about William than what Emma sees. There is a part 3 called Honor and Obey.Part 3 is from Emma's point of view and picks right up from Honor Student. The writing was good and the story held my interest. The characters were developed really well.

This dark and sensual love story held my attention from start to finish. The story is told from the female characters point of view and she falls for her substitute college professor Mr. Honor. The professor on the other hand has his own twisted liked in the bedroom. With mysterious notes threatening their union will Emma and Mr. Honor love story make it to the next day!
A short read of less than 150 pages only to be continued in "Honor Thy Teacher" and the third installment "Honor and Obey". And...more

Ahhhh!!
This damn book. THIS damn book!!
Not ONLY did the good times end quickly, there were a ton of gaps in the story line that left me going, "Wait, what the FUCK did I miss?" Sending me back a few pages to scan to see if some how, some way, I had missed portions of the damn story. Holy crap was that frustrating in itself.
Then, THEN!, tie in the countless grammar errors and the horrible (and I do mean H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E) mishaps of punctuation, and well, I believe I was starting to see a bit of r...more

SPOILER for my REVIEW
Don't ever read it if you haven't read it. K?
Just read this on E-Book.
got it again from my sister.
First, The story is all about the college girl who has a secret relationship with her hot Professor. K.
That made sense, I thought how will the story happen? Sounds Interesting really.
Okay, so as for my review.
I enjoyed the story REALLY. I really do like the story.

Hum... First all let me say the author did a good job with the love scenes. There's the only good thing I can really say. I felt that the story could have been better if there was a little more details added. First of all the beginning is just crazy. Mr. Honor has barely had a conversation with Emma before he bends her over his desk and spanks her. Really?!? I got the whole dominant thing but no person in the right minds bends over anyone they barely know, especially a student, over a...more

This book was not horrible. It truly was not. Let's just get down to the nitty gritty of why this book was not for me!
The writing: In the first portion of the book the writing is a little 'meh'. It feels choppy and lacks a certain flow. However, Mummert does hit her writing stride and it improves A LOT by the end of the book.
The characters didn't have an impact on me. I can remember Mr. Honor's name William, but for the life of me I cannot remember the MC's name. ____________ that's all I get w...more

Okay there is so much wrong with this book I can go on and on. The main character was a childish twit whom I couldn't quite figure out if she was in highschool or college. I mean come on I have read very few books with a charcter this immature, insecure, self destructive, and self absorbed. What everytime someone says something you don't like your just going to run off. Where is the conflict resolution. Their relationship was totally not believable by any streach of the imagination. And even if...more
Honor Student is one of the worst books I EVER read.
I don’t even know where to begin and point out everything that was wrong with the book, but I will give you a list of things.
1º If she is in college it doesn`t look like it. I am in college and I can assure you that my teachers don’t care if I miss classes, or go after me to the bathroom to know what I am doing
2º I mean you know the guy for 2 minutes he bends you over is desk and spanks you and you don’t find any of that strange or bizarre to s...more

Do you like puzzles? You do? Well then do I have the book for you! You will continually ask questions about this book while you are reading it. Questions like how the hell did we get here, where is the plot and don't forget your fill in the blank scenes.

About this...Ok. So, I'm all about the "Alpha Male". I'm all about the steamy. I'm all about "overnight" romance...BUT SERIOUSLY, this was ridiculous. This book had plenty of potential, but still fell short for me. There were plenty of moments where I actually asked "Are you kidding me?" out loud to my kindle. There were many moments where I was completely disgusted with "William the Conquerer"...His rudeness and brashness did absolutely nothing for me--and I am AMAZED that it worked on Emma. Le...more

I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends m...more
