I have realized that all PNR books by Cynthia Eden are similar which is not all bad but can be a bit anti-climatic. Her heroines will always be in trouble, have an agenda and secret and the hero will always come to her rescue. There will be loads of running around, near dying and drama and this book is pretty much the same. The hero Az used to be an Angel of Death and fell but wants to go back because the human world offers a lot of temptation. The heroine has been on the run for a long time and ...more

I enjoyed Cynthia Eden’s Night Watch and Midnight series, was excited she came out with a new Angel series. For me though I was not feeling Angel In Chains. The cover is something anyone could lust over and the blurb was more interesting then the first two novels in this series. I already have book one but took the chance and dove into Book 3. I was looking for a more intense read with a fallen Angel of Death Hero, Azrael is cursed to walk the earth alone in search of redemption and a kick butt ...more

Angel in Chains is hands down the most intense book in The Fallen series. It seemed that at every turn something completely unexpected blindsided me. My jaw stayed on the floor. I devoured Azrael and Jade’s book in one sitting. I could not put the book down. The action is nonstop. There is an abundant amount of insane fight scenes.

It has been six months since Azrael fell. He is still struggling with his newly found emotions. He has some big objectives though. The most prominent is get redemptio

***I would suggest reading the first 2 books. While you can read this as a stand-alone, Az's previous status as the enemy doesn't come across in this, so you might not get why he was so bad.

In the books Angel of Darkness and Angel Betrayed Azrael was the angel in Heaven who was in charge of all the Death Angels. He had the book, the one with the list of names of those who would die. He kept the balance, the order. And he made sure that when one of h

It's a shame that Cynthia Eden do not get recognition that she deserved because she damn well can write a great PNR books and not fallin into the same old same old theme. Okay, Angel in Chains sure have some PNR cliches but Ms Eden is the best writer when it comes to write action and fast packed books. You will hold your breath to follow Azrael and Jade's journey to earn their happines.

Love virgin hero? Well, you must read Angel in Chains too. And

Azrael had been the head honcho of the Angels of Death until he Fell. Now, he wants redemption so he can go back to the Heavens and not deal with all the pesky emotions that come with being a Fallen. When he comes across a human woman in a dark alley being surrounded by panther shifters he thinks he might have found his ticket home. Save her and be redeemed. However, things aren’t going the way Az expected.

Jade Pierce has been running from her psycho ex-boyfriend for years. He’s a panther shifte

While this is my first book in the Fallen series, starting on the third book did not deter me from understanding what was happening.

In this book, Azrael, the ex-head-angel of Death has fallen. Why he has fallen, I would have to read Angel Betrayed to understand, but the reason for his fall wasn’t too important. At least I don’t think it was. Anyway, so the book starts off with Azrael being present in an alleyway where Jade Pierce was being corned by a couple of shifters. He s

Okay, I did love this because in the end, I thought it was an awesome addition to the series in overall. But I also have to rant about something (which made me reduce the star rating from exact 4-stars)

Seriously, I HATE it when authors start using those "This is not your fight, this is mine", "I saw my last lover die, I will not let it happen to you, so let me sacrifice myself" theme. WELL, PHOOEY!! Just because Jade thinks so, it doesn't immediately makes he

Cynthia Eden has the magical ability to pull you into the world she has created from the first page and Angel in Chains is no exception. This series (The Fallen) gets better and better with each book, which seems impossible because Angel of Darkness and Angel Betrayed where both superb reads but Angel in Chains totally blew me away! Fantastic Series!

Do not make the same mistake that I made! I was thinking that since I had recently read a couple of other authors Fallen Angels books, that I was ready for something different. Well! THIS SERIES BY CYNTHIA EDEN IS THAT SOMETHING DIFFERENT!! It is written so well, with every story having a different angle (or is that angel? Lol), each of which was not what I expected at all!!!! I flew through the books (pun intended) until the last one. I didn’t want to read it because it was THE

Cynthia Eden sure knows how to write paranormal romance. Az was a great character to read about with his story of redemption
I love the main characters in these books, and there is always tons of action. Really looking forward to the next one.

Azrael was the head Death Angel and was a buy the book kind of Angel till he no longer could follow those rules, and fell.

Az refused to give in to temptation even after his fall. He could never understand how his brother Sam could be happy here with all these emotions and temptation surrounding them. Determined to redeem himself and earn his wings back, Az was determined to resit temptation and find a way home. But sometimes things change.....

I’ve read many books by this author. I typically don’t read serial books out of order, but I won this & didn’t want to wait to receive books 1 &2 (Yes, I went ahead & ordered them before I read this one).

Angel in Chains is more than just a typical paranormal romance. The author has crafted a unique world where everyone has their own agenda. There is a cast of well-developed supporting cha

Quick & Dirty: Hot, hot story with non-stop action and a strong female character. You will not want to put down this book.

Opening Sentence: Living in hell sucked.

The Review:

Cynthia Eden certainly knows how to write some “hot, hot” books. Angel in Chains is the third novel in The Fallen series and finally gives Azrael his story and a lover. Although Az certainly isn’t my favorite character from this series so far, I felt he was kind of annoying in the firs

Azreal was an Angel—The Angel. Az was in charge of the Angels of Death. Except that was before—before he fell for trying to take a soul that was not on his List. Now Az is a fallen angel looking for a way back.

When he comes across Jade Pierce being attacked in a back alley by three shifters, he realizes that protecting her, a human, might be Az’s chance at redemption. He will use her helplessness to his advantage and earn his wings back.

Az isn’t the only one looking to use someone for his own

I just love Cynthia Eden’s Fallen Angels. They are so messed up but change so much in these stories. In this story we follow Azrael - a powerful Death Angel who struggles with one of his biggest temptations – Jade who is a human. She is everything he wants and feels. He does everything he can to claim her and to give into those temptations he feels. At the beginning of the story Az first meets Jade as three members of a powerful panther shifter pack have her cornered in an alley. He steps in to ...more

If you've been on the fence about trying one of the books in The Fallen series, now is the time. I enjoyed this one. And even though it's the third installment, you should have no trouble following along. There is plenty of action, hot sex, a fantastic heroine, and a virgin hero who happens to be a fallen angel. Rrrrraw.

The story begins as Azrael stumbles across Jade while she is being threatened by several shifters. She is only a human, but something about her draws him in. He saves her life --

Review: Once the leader of all Angels of Death, fallen Azrael is still trying adjust to his new existence on earth. He lands in New Orleans, a city smothering with Others aka shifters, vampires and other paranormal creatures. Looking for a fight, Az stumbles into an alley where a human woman is fighting off a gang of panther shifters. I've been anxiously awaiting ANGEL IN CHAINS ever since I read ANGEL BETRAYED. My expectations were high going in and I am so happy to say Jade and Az exceeded those expectations. Jade is a fantastically flawed heroine. She's made massive mistakes in her life that led to lives lost. Now all she wants is a chance to live her life free of her psycho ex and she's willing to use Az to get that. But from the beginning, she can't fight her attraction to him.

Third book in Cynthia Eden's The Fallen. I have read book one; however, I have not read book two. So I am hoping that I do not get TOO lost... But eager to jump into this book.

Cynthia sure starts AIC's with a bang. No slowness, the pace quick but not too fast to leave a reader baffled or confused. Lots of action so far (66 pages in) that keeps me riveted and wanting to read more.

In the first book Az was a real uppity arse. Enough so that you really wanted to hate the man. Then in the end he g

I liked the dialogue, some of it was kind of funny (not a ha ha kind of way, but in an amusing way). I also liked the writing style.

As for the characters, half way through the book, Az started to sound suspiciously like Sam. I don't know if the author intended for it to be this way, but, if not, she's got weak characters.
The sarcasm from the female lead character was amusing.

Moving on to the plot, the start was really good, but in the middle of the book, it felt like I was trudging thr
