This was an amazing book. I really enjoyed Wist's writing style. Her writing style is to the point but leaves room for beautiful description. She also excelled at the action scenes; they were awesome, with enough danger and gore to make them believable but without overdoing it.
Sybl is an excellent character who really is just a normal girl caught in extraordinary circumstances. She doesn't whine, she just does the best she can and through her wits and caring nature she accomplishes a lot. Cirrus...more

I really enjoyed the Dragon Aster trilogy from S, J. Wist. The author does a great job introducing the reader into the fantastical and complex realm of Aster. There were like, 3 giveaways for this that I didn't win. Well. Rotten luck, I guess! Honestly, this book looks really good, and I've been dying to read it. But I don't know where I can get it!
First I have to say read the dictionary of terms. I won the first book and wanted to like it so much that I went ahead and purchased the sequels. I wanted to like it so much I actually went back and read most of the first book again because I was SO confused. Story line does have its moments and is certainly readable enough with lots of adventure but ths size book normally takes me 3-4 days to read and this one took 2 weeks. Good Try though.
