This is a funny book and I very quick read. I read it in a couple of hours. I really liked "The Accidental Poet". This is the story for you if you want to get back at the people who ever did you wrong. I liked "The King's Story" as well. It is the same as "The Accidental Poet" but set in a different time as the author has said in her author notes. I really liked "Getting The Curse". It isn't what you think. This amusing collection shows a wide variety of style; not many writers can claim such flexibility. Years ago I was lucky to see a couple of these stories in manuscript form and it's great to see them polished and published. "Getting the Curse" and "Witch Place" are a lot of fun, and enjoyed "Kudzu" because I've always been a fan of stories built from 'found' materials like DRACULA. "The Accidental Poet" took me back to high school and overall, I think it's my favorite.

I suppose the stories were just not my cup of tea, you know? Don't get me wrong, some of the stories were quite entertaining and funny (and sometimes even shocking)!

The short stories were well written with some very descriptive and interesting scenes. I thought the charact...more

A collection of short stories, a couple of them were mildly funny, but not all of them worked for me.
