Reading about Jericho Quinn reminds of when I first started reading the Jack Reacher (Lee Childs) books. I couldn't put them down. I gobbled them up like a handful of M&Ms, and loved every exciting moment of them. (some of the more recent ones haven't been quite up to standard, but the beginning of the series is truly amazing)

This book picked up right where the first one left off. Our hero is trying to protect his family when he is attacked at home. Turns out there are now two groups after h...more

Cameron presents a great second novel, with as much interest and intrigue as the first. He permits the reader to delve more into the flow of the plot and leaves the personal lives of those key to the book's advancement on the back burner, save for where plot and character background intertwine out of necessity. Using multiple plot lines and characters that, eventually, do meld together, Cameron has the reader ready to guess what is set to happen on the following pages.

At times a little predictab...more

Selected this recently from a book box via Bookcrossing.com since I had not read this author before. The main character is Jericho Quinn and he is special agent that takes on challenges of all kinds.

Currently, the United States is getting hit with random terrorist attacks that have really come from nowhere. The president enlists Quinn. along with another government agent Veronica "Ronnie" Garcia.

There is allot of action going on in this book. Its pretty fast paced, which I enjoyed. I thought so...more

From my blog http://onlectus.blogspot.com/2012/07/...

There is not much to say about this book because three words suffice: It is great!
Mystery thrillers have always appealed to me and I specially enjoyed this one because ever since 9/11 we've come more than a little paranoid seeing suspects every where.

What fascinated me about this book? I used to think terrorist must have an accent. Brilliantly, Cameron thought differently.

I would like to read more of this team: Quinn, Garcia, the guy with the...more

I just finished the advance uncorrected proof of this book and was unable to put the book down once I started it. Once I finished it, I immediately gave it to my husband to read as thrillers are one of his favorite genres. I would recommend this book to my friends as I think they would find it hard to put down also. I hope to see Jericho Quinn as a character in other books by Marc Cameron. I will definitely be on the look out for further novels by this author. I love when I can add new authors t...more

Not a bad read. A little of Nelson DeMille's Charm School and a little borrowed from The Manchurian Candidate.

Very fast paced and plenty of action. The first chapter or so is a continuation of Cameron's National Security but then moves almost seamlessly into the new plots and sub plots.

Fans of Vince Flynn, Alex Berenson and other writers of political/military/CIA thrillers will enjoy this, I think.

As entertaining as this book was I couldn't stop thinking that some cop that lived a boring traffic cop life wrote this as if he wished he lived the life he made up. Turns out I was right, some law enforcement nerd wrote it. That being said it was cool to turn my brain off and just enjoy some entertainment and it definitely killed some time here in Afghanistan so I'll give it 3 stars.

Act of Terror is a riveting novel about terrorism in the United States. A master plan is in place that has Americans that you would least suspect committing acts of terrorism. The question as to why is unraveled as the novel progresses. It was definitely hard to put down. My only complaint was that a few descriptions of the terrorist acts were just a little too violent.

After reading Dead or Alive by Grant Blackwood (under the guise of a Tom Clancy novel) I was in the mood for another Thriller, so I picked this one up, and couldn't put it down. It moved fast, and the action was intense. While some of the plot lines were predictable, it was a fun read. I now want to pick up this author's first one, just to see if it is as good.

I was fortunate enough to win this book from goodreads. I read Cameron's first book, National Security and I enjoyed it. Act of Terror was also enjoyable bur at times a little too much over the top. At certain points the timing was impossible in real life. Don't get me wrong I recommend this book to fans of the political thriller genre and I will be reading future novels from the author. With that said I wouldn't recommend this novel to introduce someone to the genre. for that you need to give s...more

Good story along the lines of stories by Brad Thor and Vince Flynn.
I found it particularly pleasing that the author didn't feel the need to include foul language and steamy sex scenes to make his book readable.
I'll read everything he writes.

This was a kind of fun read, although it exhausted me with its shoot-em-up testosterone. Not my typical read, I borrowed this one from my husband, and it was certainly a change from my normal books.

I had fun with this one. Overall Marc writes a good guy wastes on the bad guy story from a conservative point of view. Jericho Quinn is like a Chuck Norris who loves motorcycles.

I really got into this book, but about halfway through, it got to be too much for me - all the international intrigue. Ended up skimming the rest of the book to get to the end.

I won this book in a goodreads giveaway and I am glad I did. The author made you feel that you were right there in all the action. The characters became real people and drew you in to the story. It was a very enjoyable book, and I will read more books by this author.

Liked it a lot. Not quite as much as National Security. And I must say that the titles should be reversed. Can't wait for the next in the series (trusting that there will be a next).
