I thought that this book was really good. It was full of action, and when it wasn't action-filled it was full of strategizing. For example, it talked about tactics and getting into sniper school. This was where Howard, the author and main character, met his spotter for sniping. His name was Casanova.

It all started when Howard was a young boy and his father left the family; his mother married a different man named Leon. Leon beat Howard when he didn't do his chores right or just when he felt lik

“When the Navy sends their elite, they send the SEALs. When the SEALs send their elite, they send SEAL Team Six”

This is a mildly interesting look at what it takes to be a SEAL and then a sniper. The intensive training makes my Army basic training look like nursery school. The story also follows Wasdin on several missions, including the show-piece of the Battle of Mogadishu, which was covered in Black Hawk Down, in both book and film.
This memoir version looks like it was packaged as a YA, so I’m

I am a Seal Team Six Warrior is a standalone novel by Howard E. Wasdin, and Stephen Templin. This book is a true story in which the narrator, Howard Wasdin, describes his younger years and then his “adventures” through his career leading up to and including his SEAL Team Six sniping career.

I thought this book was extremely interesting, considering the fact that everything in this book actually happened in real life, and well written. This book may not have symbolism, but it has plenty of other l

So I think I'm actually doing a two part review for this. Honestly, for just being a damn SEAL and for bravery and for...gah! the things people can do--5 stars!
There is something, even for vets, about reading about these men, its surreal. We can think back on times that were hard for us, but it is just nothing compared to what these men have done and continue to do. So for that-5 stars.
I do have to say, as the whole reason I picked up this book was because it was on the summer reading list for m

I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior: Memoirs of an American Soldier is an amazing biography written by a former SEAL, Howard Wasdin. The biography starts out by outlining Wasdin’s difficult childhood and how his experiences as a child formed his character. Wasdin makes the decision to join the military after his high school graduation, with the ultimate goal of a Special Forces Sniper. The biography then goes into his training and the selection process into the elite Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (B ...more

First off I just want to say to be a seal takes a lot of courage and bravery. Also I want to thank our seals. Now it's time to get to the book review. I thought this book was a good book because it talked about the seals training and how hard it is and personally after reading this book who ever sticks through the training to become a seal i think they are a true man or woman. I give this book 5 stars because like I was saying earlier it was talking about their challenging training and it also ...more

I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior: Memoirs Of An American Soldier by Howard E. Wadsin and Stephen Templin is about a young hard working man who’s childhood made him into the character that gave him the mental strength which allowed him to endure and overcome the challenges on the road to become a Seal Team Six Warrior (sniper). The story shows what Wadsin went through to become an elite warrior and how he ended up fighting in the Battle Of Mogadishu staring into the face of death. The author’s main ...more

This book I am a Seal Team Six Warrior is about a navy seal sniper and his journey to become one and some of the missions he took part on. One of the most well known battles he was The Battle of Mogadishu. The Sniper's name was Howard E. Wasdin and he actually wrote this book! This book talks about his rough times in his childhood to his missions overseas. The book starts as a action packed story but I won't give it away too much. In the beginning he talks about how he was abused as a child and ...more

I bought this book at the school's book fair to strengthen my classroom library's supply of "war books."

The author glosses over his personal life. His military life is so full that it's difficult for him not to gloss over it. He was definitely a man who was shaped by his childhood experiences. He also proves what it takes to be a SEAL. It's awe-inspiring to realize the training and determination and luck required to become what he did. It's also awe-inspiring to realize how long he made it in th

I Am a Seal Team Six Warrior starts out like any other book, but it’s not like any other book. It is one of the best war books that I have read. It has real dates and times which makes a difference. Dr. Howard E. Wasdin is an amazing man for becoming a Seal Team member. Most people cannot do the things that Dr. Wasdin had to go through. Most people don’t come back the same. But, this individual came back with a different perspective on things and wrote about it. He was in the middle of Mogadishu ...more

The book, I am a Seal Team Six Warrior by Howard E. Wasdin and Stephen Templin shows that it takes hard work to get to the place that you want to be. All of the Seal Team Six soldier work harder than anyone else just to get there high position. This story about how Howard Wasdin became a Seal Team Six warrior has many different locations throughout the book. The warriors childhood is explained in Georgia. In Florida many tests are taken just to become a regular Seal. Then in California much more ...more

Howard Wasdin is one of the worlds greatest snipers on the legendary SEAL Team Six. Even though Howard Wasdin sounds like he is top notch, the road to getting there wasn't so great. As a kid Howard was abused and beaten by his step dad every day for so long he began to think that it was normal. But even though he lived a very tough childhood with abuse that's what made him so tough in the future. When he began his lifelong dream to become a member of SEAL Team Six he had to start at the bottom a ...more

the main idea of this book is you should sacrific somethings because some people dont have as much or can't fight back.

this is about a guy named Hawarard and as a kid he got beat by his step dad and never told any one. When he got out of high school he went in to the army as a air and sea rescue. Then he wanted to be a seal so he went to the trianning and passed and was part of seal team two, then he was moved up to seal team six as a sniper.

In the book I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior by Howard E. Wasdin we get an inside view of the lives of the men and women who serve to protect our country. This book focuses on one member of this very elite team. But, it took a lot of hard work, determination, time, and training to get to that spot, and this book covers it all. From his early childhood of getting abused by his stepfather, to working in the fields, applying for the Navy, and joining SEAL's. This book had a lot of conflicts, from decid ...more

Review of I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior

I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior is a book by Stephen Templin. The genre is action documentary. The main character is a Marine who was sent to Iraq to fight against the terrorist there and to assassinate special leaders. The characters in the book were credible to me, they didn't make them seem like gods. Some of the problems that the main character encounters were that he was being ambushed by the enemy and there was no way he could escape. Then there was when one

I am a SEAL team six warrior is about Howard E. Wasidin, a sniper in the navy Seals. The main theme of this story is courage because of Howard E. Wasidins acts to be a Navy SEAL. Howard goes trough much trouble in training to achieve the accomplishment of being a navy seal. For example Howard completes "hell week" which a week of the hardest training in the SEALS. Howard finally completes training and finally sees combat as a member of SEAL team two. Howard later moves on and completes his dream ...more

I am a Seal Team Six Warrior : Memories of an American Soldier is a collection of Howard E. Wasdins memoires recounting his experiences growing up that led to becoming a Navy Seal. Although his memoires mostly used limited narration, the book is still very interesting and intriguing to the reader . His story begins in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993, where he has been deployed on a special ops mission to capture Osman Ali Atto. Wasdin’s hope is that if

I thought that this book was amazing. It was action-packed and strategic. It showed the intense training SEALs go through. Especially training to be a SEAL sniper. That is a very prestigious position. The book always kept you wondering what was next. It also revealed the real story of Black Hawk Down. The operation that was very costly in Mogadishu, Somalia. Which helped paved the road for SOCOM and JSOC.

It tells a story about a young boy that grew up in an abused household with a brutal stepfath

I believe that the main idea of this book is courage. Howard E. Wasdin was born in Boynton Beach Florida on November 8, 1961 in Weems Free Clinic. The protagonist, Howard E Wasdin grew up being child abused by his own dad and rejected by his mom who did not ever take a minute to see what he thought. He spent every day the same, go to school and get strait A's, or go home and get belted in the butt, go straight from school and pick water melons to put into a truck, or go home and get slapped in t ...more

I am Seal Team Six Warrior was a great book. It reminded me of a similar book thats called American Sniper. The author really expresses his ideas and thoughts clearly. Also he has a great way of making you sad at one point then happy and laughing the next.
This book was an autobiography by Howard Wasdin. It was about his life and his hadships that he had to endure. For example he went from a scared little boy to a fearless warrior. At some points I got really mad at people and how they treated

This month I read I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior by Howard E. Wasdin. It is an action filled memoir of Wasdin's personal life and military life and how they effect each other. Wasdin's main idea of the book is to reach your goals if you have the opportunities. Howard Wasdin was just 4 years old when he started getting abused by his mother's boyfriend. His dad apparently left him when he was young, and his mother was the closest person to Howard when he was growing up. He never blamed his parents f ...more

Howard E. Wasdin has written a brilliant autobiography that certain people will love. If you enjoy war, action, fighting you will absolutely love this book. I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior is very confusing for a person like me who does not know terms about warfare. I wish I could understand these terms used in this exciting amazingly written book because I could have enjoyed it more completely.

This book starts of by telling how Wasdin tragically grew up. In my opinion if Wasdin did not grow up lik
