This is a mildly interesting look at what it takes to be a SEAL and then a sniper. The intensive training makes my Army basic training look like nursery school. The story also follows Wasdin on several missions, including the show-piece of the Battle of Mogadishu, which was covered in Black Hawk Down, in both book and film.

There is something, even for vets, about reading about these men, its surreal. We can think back on times that were hard for us, but it is just nothing compared to what these men have done and continue to do. So for that-5 stars.

The author glosses over his personal life. His military life is so full that it's difficult for him not to gloss over it. He was definitely a man who was shaped by his childhood experiences. It's also awe-inspiring to realize how long he made it in th ...more

The genre is action documentary. The main character is a Marine who was sent to Iraq to fight against the terrorist there and to assassinate special leaders. The characters in the book were credible to me, they didn't make them seem like gods. Some of the problems that the main character encounters were that he was being ambushed by the enemy and there was no way he could escape. Then there was when one ...more
