A great Australian story, couldn't put it down until I finished it.

Jacaranda is the perfect chill out, lift-your-spirits-on-a-bad-day read. With a strong, likable and thoroughly good heroine and a beautiful depiction of rural Australia, it is difficult not to get sucked in by this romantic read. I picked this book up on a rainy weekend when my spirits were quite low and found myself drawn in to the story of Molly Jones and her family and friends at Jacaranda Station.

Molly is a single mother in her mid-20s. She has a loving home on Jacaranda station with her gra...more

Molly has learned the hard way not to be capricious. A one night stand as a teen left her pregnant when she was 19. Now six years later, having her daughter Rose, is something she can't regret. Molly is ready to get back in the saddle and start dating when the father of her child, Mark, comes back into town and she starts having feelings for an old friend, Heath. Confused, Molly isn't sure what she should do. And she just may make the wrong choice for not only her, but for Rose as well.

This is Mandy Magro's second novel, drawing on her experiences of life on the land in Northern Queensland, and Jacaranda is a heartwarming contemporary rural romance with just a touch of drama to keep things interesting.

Despite having endured the tragic loss of her parents and her best friend, Jenny, in separate accidents, Molly Jones is content with her life at Jacaranda Farm with her grandparents and six year old daughter, Rose. Molly's only regret is that Rose has never known her father, a c...more

Another great book Mandy - well done!

This book had some great twists and turns and kept me reading right to the end although Chapter 22 had my heart pounding (with worry lol) and i just had to keep reading to find out what would happen (i read this book in 4 hours)

I love a book that has you immediately invested in the charatcters - to the point i was saying in my head - no Molly not him the other guy is perfect for you (i won't add names - leave it for you to read)

Can't wait for Mandy's next boo...more

Jacaranda tells a beautiful story that I don't think gets told often enough.

Stay tuned for my complete thoughts on Beauty and Lace in the upcoming days...

I was disappointed with this story, when I read the back of it - it sounded similar to a book by Rachael Treasure that I had really enjoyed. Girl gets drunks, has a tumble and finds herself pregnant with the man not in her life. How different can 2 books be?

This was quite an ordinary story, okay, just not what I was expecting.

Loved it! Received my signed copy from the author on Monday and only took until Friday cos I had to do other stuff, would've read it all in one day like Rosalee Station if I could've tuned out the world!

Mandy Magro lives on the family fruit farm in Dimbulah, Tropical North Queensland, with her
husband, Drew, and her young daughter, Chloe Rose.
She loves writing about the Australian outback and all the wonderful characters who live there, and
