    <body><![CDATA[Touted as one of the finest war novels ever written, I must admit I like the movie better.  Still it was a very engrossing story, fast paced and full of suspense.  Colonel Nicholson's manipulation of Colonel Saito is one of the most interesting parts of this story.  A worthy read. ]]></body>
