My favorite line is: "What we are doing is not hypothetical. It is the assemblage of a large ripening error It is / happening & that is what we want / Something / incredible and real." It is a provocative and necessary line for a book of poems full of strings of effervescent images--"My heart a putt-putt golf course" and "I drove a limousine gauzed with feathers." Nick Sturm is not messing around. Or he is seriously messing around.
