Cimil is Back and Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has done it again. ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE WITH...A GOD? is her first book in the Accidentally Yours Series. Terrific. ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO...A VAMPIRE? is the second novel, and like the first, it is steamy, romantic, fast-paced, and laugh-out-loud funny.

In this book, we have a new heroine, Helena. She is an evolutionary biologist on vacation in Bacalar, Southern Mexico. She misses her bus and is stuck in a Mayan jungle on a dark, lonely road. Suddenly, she...more

This vampire novel was filled with eternal mates, twisted love and hatred, cross country chase, and hot, delicious vampires and demilords, what more could a girl ask for? The love between Niccolo and Helena seems somewhat rushed, but it's still cute. Thanks to the help of Crazy Cimil, who remainds me of "Nucking Futs Nix" from Kresley Cole's immortals after dark series, our cute pair comes together, but it seems more for the entertainment and benefit of Cimil. Anyways, I truly enjoyed her ridicu...more

Helena discovers Niccolo while lost in the Mexican jungle, and soon her carefully planned life is turned upside down by the incredible physical attraction and magnetic pull she feels for him. Throwing caution to the wind, she lets him bring her to New York City where he makes her a virtual prisoner in a fabulous penthouse while he waits for the three month mark (in accordance with Cimil's prophecy)to convert her. But he refuses to tell her anything, and she has no idea what he does, who he is in...more

***I received this arc for my honest review***

Funny!! I do not think we get enough funny paranormal romances.

“Any day now?” Viktor prodded. “Sì, sì. Do not get your…” Niccolo paused to recall the exact phrase. “Get your balls in a bunch.” Viktor shook his head. “Panties.” Niccolo frowned. “Why would you wear panties? Aren’t those for females?” Viktor growled. “Can we go now?” “Yes, but I insist you tell me more about your man-panties later.”

This wonderful book is riddled with hilarious lines lik...more

This one is a fruity drink served in a coconut shell with an umbrella. It's sweet and totally enjoyable. I had so much fun with this book. Ms. Pamfiloff got my attention from the first screen. I was leery of the name. I won't lie about that but it all made sense once I got into the story.

According to my ebook, this is book two of the series which caused much confusion which remains unresolved. It's a stand-alone so I don't feel cheated. None-the-less, Helena is the heroine and she was all the t...more

Accidentally Married to ....A Vampire?, the second book in the Accidentally Yours series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff, gives us the story of Niccolo DiConti, a Vampire general, and Helena, a human female who's not sure she wants to become a vampire or listen to a bossy, immortal Alpha male for the rest of eternity. With se...more

I love it when a book surprises me, and this book certainly did. I have paid far, far more for books that I think aren't nearly as fresh, funny and likeable as this one (yeah, you, Argenau books). OK, it ain't War and Peace, but then, have you ever read War and Peace? Enough with the Bible-bashing Tolstoy, get to the War!

The book tells the love story of Niccolo and Helena, a vampire and his human bride. Aided/abetted/hampered by a tricksy goddess, their fated true love fails to run smoothly and...more

Helena manages to get herself left behind in the middle of nowhere whilst on holiday with her friends in the jungles of Mexico. Unknown to her, she has become the pet project of an insane demi-goddess and the long awaited mate of a vampire. Cimil isn't a fairy godmother, and Niccolo isnt the perfect prince, so life really isn't improving for the 20+ year old virgin who learns that losing her virginity to a sexy hunk isn't as easy as she had thought it would be....

I came across the "Accidentally...more

I bought this book not knowing anything about the author. It was great! One of the best Vampire books I have read in a long time. I LOVED the character of Simi! She is absolutely hilarious! The story starts with the main male character a vampire named Niccolo. He is a general to a queen vampire and doesn't want to lead her army any more. He goes to Simi, a god like deity, and asks for her help. She tells him that he must meet his true love, marry her 3 months after meeting her, but don't have se...more

This book is the reason why I totally remembered why I loved reading paranormal stories in the first place. I've stopped for a while, but after reading this, I now miss it! What a great book/story!

You have Niccolo the Vampire and Andrus the DemiGod, who are both sexy, fierce, loyal, strong and on a mission. There missions, we find out, are a bit intertwined, although not specifically the same. They are both running from a past that they would like to bury and keep buried forever. But to do that,...more

Surprisingly, the plot has depth. I say this because the title really sounds cheesy to me, and some dialogues by the main character Nicollo are really corny. There's a valid reason for his archaic speech however, because Nicollo is a vampire who has lived for a thousand years. He's tired of serving as the General of his Queen's army so he seeks the help of Cimil, goddess of the Underworld, for a way out of Queen Reyna's clutches without ending up dead...or worse. Cimil, my favorite character her...more

I loved this story.

This is my first time reading a book by Ms. Pamfiloff and it will most certainly not be my last. I was intrigued by the title of the book because it was kind of quirky so I expected to get a cute and quirky read with not a whole lot of depth to it. Boy, was I wrong! The plot, the characters, the storyline...everything worked together in perfect harmony to create a highly engaging and interesting read. I couldn't put the book down. Loved Niccolo and Helena and the realational...more

This is the first book by this author I have read (and I didn't realize it was #2 in a series).

I took a chance on it, the plot sounded interesting and it was only 99 cents on amazon, so win-win.

I really liked it!

It was pretty entertaining and it made me laugh out loud more then once.

Niccolo DiConti is the commander of the crazy vampire queen's army. But after hundreds of years he's kinda over it. She was always a few grapes short of a bunch, but now she's gone off her rocker and telling him to...more

I really did love the book, but won't give a book a five if there are muliple editing errors, this book is riddled with them and it does make the book harder to enjoy. At points this story had me rolling with laughter and cheering the charators on. I've never been much into reading reviews before recently. To me a review should be done like a critique so the author can see just where and what their reading are seeing and feeling about their writings. The story flow was wonderful and flawless it...more

This book was certainly interesting. I was literally laughing out loud through some parts. A very intriguing plot and characters had me continuing to read it.

What an awesome and funny ride. I had so much fun reading this book. The characters were amazing and written with such humor and personalities that you immediately fell in love with them. Helena was a spunky, smart, beautiful, sexy, and no nonsense woman. Niccolo was a gorgeous, dark, and incredibly sexy vampire who was awakened 300 years after being en-tombed. Naturally, this makes him out of his time. But in my opinion, the real STAR of the story is the whacky goddess Cimil. She was absolutely...more

I love this book. The plus side for me was hot vampires since they are my favorite, but even if I didn't I believe I would have loved this book anyway. You have Niccolo, the Queen's General, who wants to obtain his freedom. Then you have Helena, who turns out to be his ticket to freedom. This book pulled me in and I understood how Helena felt dealing with the determined, arrogant, and stubborn Niccolo while trying to process how she felt about her new future he has planned for her. This book has...more

This is the first book I have read from this author. I did not read the 1st book, just went straight to the 2nd one. The book started off well and is quite fast paced. There was lots of lust and sexual chemistry. What I didn’t enjoy was that I didn’t feel that the relationship with the two main characters developed much. The book spanned a period of 3 months and the hero was always away doing something and they only spent a few weeks together so at the end of the book, I didn’t very feel there w...more

Second in the series with a major recurring character from the first book.

Niccolo is the Vampire Queen's Executioner. While Vamps are supposed to be good guys and protect humans, the Queen is bat shit crazy and orders him to slaughter innocents. He seeks out the goddess Cimil to free him from his servitude. She promises to and gives him a set of rules to follow - find his true love, don't bite or have sex with her and get her to agree to become a Vampire exactly 90 days after they meet. She then...more

It was amazingly not that interesting...bordering on psychotic and boring at the same time. I'm guessing Cimil is supposed to bring cleverness, insight and cheerfulness to the book but her character only managed to irritate the hell out of me. I end up knowing the main characters about as much at the end as the beginning. Their love story is absolutely crazy and unrealistic and I really am wondering what was the purpose of this book...perhaps there isn't one and that's why the author removed the...more

I've picked up this book before I knew it's the second in the series. I absolutely loved it! Now I'll read the first one and wait for the third.

This book was funny, the author made me laugh numerous times. But I didn't feel a lot of loyalty to the characters. For example when Helena met Andrus, I kept hoping more would happen between them. I liked Andrus. I should have felt more loyalty to Niccolo. But I didn't. I still enjoyed the story though.

Some funny quotes

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. This is a new writer to me and she was great. I loved her whit and humor. This is about a modern day girl being told by an 1300 year old vampire that she is his mate. She doesn't agree with him at first. He is very persistant!!! He has just woken up from a 300 yr nap. She meets him in the jungle in Mexico on her vacation. The story flows well for the most part. I just thought the ending was a bit rushed with all the explainations of some of the ch...more

This book tried way too hard. I could tell she was going for funny... but I didn't laugh. Too many sad attempts to be clever.

The Cimil character reminded me of a cross between Simi from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters series and Nix from Kresley Cole's Immortals after Dark series. Except, Simi and Nix really are hilarious, clever, and intelligent characters where Cimil is sort of annoying counterfeit.

Otherwise, the characters were vapid and annoying. The plot was disorganized and nonsensical, no...more

I don't know whether I liked this book or not. At times it was frustrating and other times engaging. I typically like sarcastic heroes/ heroines who talk to themselves with snide remarks but this was just too much...almost every paragraph had somekind of comment and it got annoying. I did like Cimili (?...too lazy to go check spelling on the Kindle)...she was entertaining. But the "triangle" betweeen Niccolo/ Helena? and what's his name was too distracting/annoying. Though I did like the twisty...more

If you are looking for a dominant hero who sees what he wants and takes it then you will enjoy this read :) Niccolo is kind of your typical paranormal hero....dominant, demanding, and toe curling sexy. Helena, believe it or not, was a heroine I actually enjoyed. This character is not your typical roll over and beg him to take you type woman and I loved that.

Helena is on a tour and becomes left behind in the jungle...all because she had to tinkle. This would so happen to me. She begins to wander...more

I broke my own rule about reading the sample pages with this one, and I definitely regret it. From the synopsis it sounded like this would be a fun, tongue-in-cheek romp. The kind with a hefty amount of "girl-power" vs. "ancient stereo-typical male" where the whole thing is played for laughs. Instead I got a melodramatic angst fest driven by moronic decisions, in which the only character who is remotely funny is absent for most of the book.

Helena is very definitely 'too stupid to live'. Especial...more

I "accidentally" stumbled on this book/series and was so happy that I did! I truly think it takes a talented author to write a story that involves fantasy/paranormal components....and an even more talented one to make an entire fantasy world come to life in your head and not have it become confusing. Throw in some hilarious characters that wish you could hang out with and you get an awesome series. I have read all three and greatly anticipate another one. These books are certainly worth your tim...more

all thanks to a crazy god called Cimil......who speaks in riddles and slogans out of context to what she is trying to do..

He has been 'asleep' for 300 years and she gets lost in the jungle..
some of the dialogue is funny... some of it has me shaking my head.... saying what was MJ thinking???

I read this because I wanted the continuing story from book one... remember ... cliff hanger ending... but

“He shoved the phone at her again. “What does this do?” Hand shaking, she took it from him. “Um. It’s called a Smartphone. You can talk to people or send messages. It’s got Internet too.” She pointed to a collection of funny looking symbols on the glossy surface. Inter-net. Is that used for some sort of fishing? And why is the phone called smart?
