Adored this book! All the things I'd hoped for in the previous two books (which I also loved) happened in this book. I've always been torn between Saxon and Jake but WOW. All I can say is read it. If you haven't read Double Clutch and Junk Miles yet READ THEM first. Fantastic series.

I was lucky enough to be a beta-reader for Liz on this book and it was one HOT finish to an amazing, couldn't-put-it-down series.
Brenna begins the summer with a finding-herself trip to Ireland, leaving Saxon and Jake to their own devices. After his parents get wind of his on-the-side cocaine biz, Saxon finds himself agreeing to do manual labor all summer to avoid yet another stint of rehab - or worse. Meanwhile, Jake gets all the social niceties he can stomach (and then some) when he's finally More...

Very sweet ending to an incredible series! Brenna, Jake, and Saxon have grown tremendously throughout these books and have formed a bond with one another that's not always harmonious, but remains unbreakable, nonetheless.
Slow Twitch is told in the alternating perspectives of Brenna, Jake, and Saxon, and I completely loved being able to delve inside the heads of these characters that I've grown to adore and admire. This was an emotional, loving, fun, sexy, and inspiring journey that concludes wi More...

Wow! What a journey. I adore Saxon, Jake, and Brenna. If this is really the last book, I have to say I'm sad and I'm going to miss them but I don't know how much more my heart could take anyway.
I was pretty nervous/skeptical going into this book. Double Clutch was so good, so sweet and everything I love about a high school romance story. Surprisingly, the love triangle did not bother me. Junk Miles, however, fell into the dreaded book 2 curse. I did not hate it but I did not love it like Double More...

Have you ever wanted to be in what I like to call... “Book Coma”??
I’ve wished for it several times. It’s pretty simple.... I’d write down some of my most Favorite, all time novels. Book coma would hit. I’d grab my “Book coma list” and discovery the glory of reading my favorite books/series all over again.
On my Book Coma Worthy List... Brenna Blixen Series would be amongst them. At the top.

Overall I loved this series! Took me back to y high school days and I can definitely relate. I'd love to find out where they are all in the future, but this journey was definitely worth the read.

What to say about this book? I am not sure how I feel about it,do I like it,or not? One thing is certain, there is a lot of action in the bedroom. *wink* Also Saxon is a changed man. Hallelujah! I still love Jake more.
It's not as good as the first but it's better than the second. So I give it 3 stars.

After Junk Miles I was dying to know what would happen with 3 of my favorite characters! Especially Saxon. I enjoyed how this book gave Brenna, Jake and Saxon's point of view. While I went back and forth between who Brenna should be with during the first book, by the second book I knew Jake was the one for her. However I still wanted something amazingly steamy to happen with Saxon for some reason. Book 2 closed that down for him. I love how he went on to Aunt Helen's and became "reformed". I lov More...

Great ending! I wasn't even sure how Liz Reinhardt was going to end it when I first started this book, but it all turned out good. I don't want to give too much away - and if you liked the 1st or 2nd one in this series, then I'm sure you'll love this one! Well, I don't think any of the books can surpass the first one, but this one had its amazing parts as well. One thing I really liked - we hear from Brenna's, Jake's, and Saxon's POV!

This book is a little different than the first two that Ms Reinhardt has written and I have to admit that at times I liked it and times I didn't. This third installment is written in all three main characters, Brenns, Jake and Saxons POV. I liked this book- maybe not quite as much as one and two but simply because I feel like it ended abruptly and I feel somewhat at a loss because so many things are left up in the air. I really hope that she is planning a fourth book but so far have not found an More...

Wow, what a finish to the Brenna Blixen series! While there were a lot of things I really enjoyed about this book, frankly, there were some things I didn't like, as well, and I'm going to start with the negative. I couldn't bring myself to classify this one as YA (or even YA Mature as it is noted), though I would say the first two books probably did fit into that category. Call me uptight, old-fashioned, a prude, whatever you like, but in my opinion this last book was just too explicit to be cat More...

So I really, really enjoyed this last one. I loved being able to read from all three of the main characters POV because I feel like I understand them more. I wish the whole series would have been written like this because I probably would've fallen in love with all of the characters from the beginning.
My favorite part about Slow Twitch was watching Saxon grow up. Being inside of his head was interesting and it made me understand him more. Knowing his thoughts showed me that he really is a sweet More...

Slow Twitch is the last book in the Brenna Blixen trilogy, and it wraps up this part of Brenna, Jake and Saxon’s story brilliantly. I say this part as I hope that maybe one day we might see Liz Reinhardt’s fantastic trio again. To drop back in on them in say five years’ time and see how their lives have progressed would be perfect. I have no idea if she plans to write any more books in this series, but hey, a girl can hope, can’t she?!! Back to this book, and I am a big fan of multiple POV’s in More...

Wowza!! The Brenna Blixen series isn’t one I ever expected to love because I am so anti love-triangles and it focuses on three teens thrown together and Brenna’s love for two boys who happen to be brothers.
In Slow Twitch we see Brenna spending her summer at a writers workshop in Ireland, Saxon on family-enforced probation and Jake getting to know the wealthy Mclean side of his family, namely his father who abandoned him and Saxon as childr More...

Liz Reinhardt is amazing, there's no question about that!!
I loved the first 2 books in this series, but somehow, Liz managed to surpass these with Slow Twitch!!
I couldn't put it down. I LOVED everything about this book, we get to hear the voices of Jake and Saxon as well as Brenna's. This was so refreshing and being inside the lads heads made me feel completely emotionally connected to the characters and the story line!!

#3 and it does NOT disappoint! I read all three books in 4 days because I literally could not get enough of the characters. First two books I was very wishy washy on whether I was "Team Jake" or "Team Saxon" and it just happens that when I read the essay that Brenna wrote I could completely understand where she stood. Love twice over. Exactly what I could see her feeling, but regardless her love for Jake was/is so evident. Young love is so exciting and reminds those of us that aren't in high sch More...

I'm not sure if this is the last book in this series, but it could be, and if so it would work, despite a lack of complete and utter closure on all fronts. Because the bits of uncertainty, of a HFN rather than locked-in HEA, are true to life and true to seventeen-year-old-ness of these characters.
In this installment we get Jake and Saxon's POVs in addition to Brenna's, and while it might seem disjointed to some, especially considering that these three characters are in different places for much More...

Everyone is growing up and moving on. Brenna, Saxon and Jake has grown a lot. It was only months in their book world but these three has learned and matured a lot. This is told in the alternating POV of Brenna, Saxon and Jake which I believe is the best decision by the author. Each character are learning to live their own lives, be independent and grow for themselves. Hearing each of their thoughts make this story more real.

I need to comment on the cover- who is this supposed to be? Not Jake! And definitely not Saxon. Anyway - finally the suspense is over and the boys find their girls and all is well in the world! Jake is still a little unsure of his relationship and has jealousy issues with B and Saxon, which IMHO is not attractive...but I do love a moto cross boy! Saxon gives up his wild ways for the girl he falls for (which seemed to happen a little too quick) till the very end and he ends up drunk and what coul More...

Going to keep this one short as well.
I've just finished Slow Twitch, and it was amazing! Not only do we still read from Brenna's point of view, but we get to be inside Saxon's AND Jake's head! It was just completely amazing that I'm still in complete awe about the whole book.
I honestly didn't think it was possible to love these three characters more, but its true. I love them. I loved every moment of reading this book. My favourite moments where reading from Saxon's and Jake's heads. We see a co More...

I wavered between 3 and 4 stars here. I might change my mind. The character of Jake is 5 stars. I loved Jake in all the books...just wished he had more confidence in himself and saw how great he was. Gotta love a reformed bad boy and one as adorable and sweet and loving as him.
What this book has in its favor and why I struggle between a 3 and a 4 is that I loved getting Jake's and Saxon's POV. It was nice being in their heads as being in Brenna's was exhausted and left me feeling a bit burnt ou More...

4 stars out of 5
It took me a freaking week but I finally finished this book. Even though I really enjoyed reading it, I can't say it was my favorite book of the trilogy. I guess I was kind of confused by some things and also disappointed.
So Slow Twitch is told by the three main characters' POV. So after doing drugs, getting drunk almost everyday and wrecking his life, Saxon will be spending his summer out of the city in his aunt Helen's house, working in a diner. Helpless and fucked up, Saxon me More...

This book surprised me by taking an entirely different direction than I expected, and made me like it all the more for that. It was easily my favorite of the trilogy, but some of that because threads from the previous two became clear.
Brenna Blixen is one of the most interesting characters I have ever read. Their is almost no emotion you can fell, that I did not at some point feel for her. In the end, she became a rounded and interesting person with some obvious faults, and obvious virtues. In More...

Briefly: I enjoyed this, even though the story meandered quite a bit. I was surprised by how smooth the transitions were between Brenna, Saxon's, and Jake's POVs, and it was kind of fun to be in the boys' heads for once. I wasn't so crazy about all the "Brenna is so hot" comments again and again though, and I do think poor Jake gets the short end of the stick a bit, since he isn't given that much to do and Saxon's story is so much more interesting.
Rambling thoughts: I like the new friend, even More...

I'm done.
I want to cry. Somehow I managed to get completely addicted to these characters and now that it's over I feel empty and sad. These books were the ultimate guilty pleasure for me and I loved every minute of it. I wasn't thrilled that this book was told from all 3 points of view, but I get it. I get why Liz did it. The thing I loved most about this series was how we saw Brenna grow. Her voice in this book is so different from Double Clutch. It reminds me of the Jenny Han summer series. B More...

I was charmed by Brenna in Double Clutch. She impressed me with her head on her shoulders, her feet solidly planted on the ground. So I was completely taken aback with the turn of events in BOOK TWO. I recall feeling her that reasons were a cop out to getting what she wanted at the expense of another. Now, a couple of moths later, I’m happy to report that SLOW TWITCH brings back a little of my admiration for her in DC. So Slow Twitch might not be as good as book one but it’s a far cry better fro More...

I give this book 4 mushy stars. Fans of this series will be content with this final book in the series. Although not as good as the first two,, I love these characters and am so sad that their stories are over (perhaps a spin off for Saxon is on Liz's to write lists? :). I know she will be writing a spin off following Evan Lennox's character - who Brenna met in and became best friends with in Ireland in this installment). This book was wonderful, and felt like an old friend. In fact, I hugged my More...

I really enjoyed being able to read from Brenna, Saxon *and* Jake's POV in this novel...but at the same time I found some timelines confusing. I guess I got used to the other novels where the passage of time was clearly marked, and kept expecting the different chapters to line up right after each other. Or at least be able to understand how interactions between the characters that happened in one POV translated in another POV...and this didn't *always* work. Loved the "trinity" at Trinity colleg More...
