The sound of wolves howling in the distance only served to raise the already alarming rate of Zarum's heart. When is a girl, not a girl? When his mother disguised him as one as a child to keep him save in a barbaric land. E'lan has always liked men, but unbeknownst to most of his village, he is not actually a woman, which makes it hard for the elders to find "her" a mate. That is until Zarum comes to the gathering. 3.5 stars. I wish this was longer, it has a lot of potential for a great novella or novel.

I also liked the concept. I iiked E"Lan's character quite a bit. This could have been a nice smutty but interesting read if it hadn't ended so abruptly and neatly. I think the professing of love was just totally unbelievable for me. Not because I don't like insta love but because E'Lan had a penis he loves him suddenly? Silly.

Canadian Author of Gay Contemporary, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi Erotic Romance

As a teen growing up in Vancouver, BC (Canada), Leigh Jarrett spent many hours each day discovering the stories surrounding the many characters emerging from the proverbial closet in her mind. Of course the adults called it daydreaming, but that didn’t deter her from weaving increasingly diverse storylines as she grew older. No...more
