I love horror books, but what really prompted me to buy this novel was its blurb: It’s Will stronger than Demons? In this novel, the main character (Dr. Axel J. Hyde), is a sociopath, constantly fighting an ‘Urge’ generated by ‘something’ – some kind of spirit hiding inside his personality from the age of ten. This creature – or mind construct – behaves like an uninvited passenger in a car’s backseat; it urges to turn right or left, but never touches the steering wheel. It could look like an ins...more
ON THE CREATION OF FEEDING THE URGE OR FRANKENSTEIN HAD IT RIGHT! by Jeffrey Kosh
Oh, I do not dare to compare my little piece of fiction with Mary Shelley’s masterpiece.
No, what I’m trying to convey here is what I’ve felt in the seven months it took me to bring to life my mongrel son. You see, it’s still covered in stitches and scars, wet bandages hang loose from its arms and legs, and … a convulse spasm keep twitching its limbs.

So this has now been updated and rewritten.
And WOW what a difference I really enjoyed this before but now its amazing! It reads so much better (IMO) and its so much more clear.
Just as terrfying and even more haunting. Mr Kosh has such a unique style, it really gives you the jitters as you are calmly and beautifully led into hell!

This book has so much going on within the pages that once you start it you will never have to worry about your mind wondering off in a different direction. In the beginning it is a story about Dr. Axel Hyde but it becomes so much more. There are so many different stories within this book it is crazy, but it all works and flows so well together.
This book does have some very adult situations and it does have some very taboo subject matter that a lot of people my want to turn away from the book but...more

Riveting-fascinating-delightful! Like Dexter’s Dark Passenger, but with more flavor, spiritual horror, and metaphysical impetus, for fast pace, graphic horror, and good characterizations, “Feeding the Urge” is nearly unbeatable. The author’s own brand of metaphysics blends with Native American traditions and modern psychology to create an inimitable backdrop to this novel. The descriptive settings of South Florida imagery, its flora and fauna, are very well done and propel readers into the story...more
What a delectable read !
The reader gets thrown into a world where life mixes with legends, supernatural, and fiction, and gets to wonder where the line between reality and fiction is, because it's so blurry. I mean do riders really exist? After all, there's that little voice...
And that's one of the very many questions you'll find yourself asking.
