M.E. Brines has created a book that I feel really did make me think. I have left church behind for the basic reasons that he elaborates on in his book. I was involved in the Sunday school, and in the youth groups and found myself being spiritually deprived. I fit what he talks about in his expose Spiritual Embezzlement Made Easy.
