How much do I love immersing myself back into Tiffany Resiz’s delightfully deviant world that simmers gently, secretly beneath the hustle and bustle of New York.

This is the story of that wicked Frenchman Kingsley Edge’s club Fathoms – a club where incredibly beautiful women swim around naked on display for the very privileged clientele. Oh, and one of the conditions for their job is that they are all virgins. Once they lose their virginity, they must hand in their mermaid pendant and leave – hym More...

Xenia is a Mermaid. A Manhattan Mermaid—not quite the mythical creature with fins instead of feet, but no less a fantasy and completely unattainable. So when Derek Prince happens upon her while drinking at a club, he is awestruck by the woman with wet hair sitting at Kingsley Edge’s private table. And she seems to be equally captivated by him.

Once Derek follows Xenia through the club’s door marked Employee’s Only, and enters the hidden club of Fathoms where the Merma More...

Well, so short, so sweet, so much fun and so very hot!

Derek Prince meets two of his friends in a bar and decides to tell them about his encounter with the mermaid, Xenia. Derek first meets Xenia at the same bar and after some initial uneventful moments, Derek sees that she is different and tries to follow her. But the man who accompanied her, stops him, and says that she works for him and if he wishes to see, he More...

I love Tiffany Reisz. I adore her books and the characters in them. In fact, if I have a reading crush, she is it. So I can’t explain how this story could have been on my Kindle, unread, for at least a few months. Mind you, I’m not complaining. It was very nice to have a new to me Tiffany Reisz story while I’m impatiently waiting for summer and the release of The Mistress Files and The Mistress. I intend to re-read every single Original Sinners book and short between now and the release dates, b More...

Although set in the same world as Reisz's other work, this is more overtly romantic than the other stories I've read by her. Derek Prince falls in love with Xenia, a professional "mermaid" on display at an incredibly exclusive club; part of her employment contract is that she must retain her virginity. Since Derek is a prince of a guy, it all works out okay. Based a little bit on Anderson's "the Little Mermaid" but far more on the movie of the same title, this is sweet, wonky, and more than a li More...

Derek is out for a night of fun, not once does he imagine that night will define his future. To begin with, he doesn't believe a club full of Mermaids exists, curiosity gets the best of him, and voila it turns out the Mermaids do exist. The thing is, they're not the kind of Mermaid everyone imagines. They're a special kind, defined by something that's not heard of much anymore.

Xenia is a Mermaid at the club. She's been there for a while, likes i More...

I'm all for erotica and romance. Both are great fun to read, and done well, they might even give you something to think about.

Then there is Immersed in Pleasure, a thin novella by Tiffany Reisz. It isn't really erotica, because despite its scant number of pages, there aren't that many sex scenes in it. Nor is it a romance novel, because there isn't a whole lot of that, either. I'm really not sure what this is, but the good news is that it is so slim that you can read it in about an hour.

I'll adm More...

Manufactured Mermaids, Voluptuous Virgins, and a Strange Story

I must admit I thought this story was about mermaids. Not women that swim around in tanks in some swanky club in New York. These Manhattan Mermaids are actually glorified virginal sugar babies that get silver scales tattooes around their feet and legs. They also adorn a silver mermaid charm on necklaces. (Think of T-Pain's I'm N Love With A Stripper...with an extra dose of class)

Aside from Ms. Reisz's interesting take on mermaids, I r More...

"Immersed in Pleasure" is a fairly quick erotic short story that delves into a theme that I'll admit I haven't read that much into. At first I thought the premise was about a woman working as a designated "mermaid" at an exclusive club - like part of a group of women who were entertainers. Then I read further into the story and realized that she actually IS a mermaid, among a collective group. I think if you're into paranormal pairings in this genre, this story might appeal to you the most. Desp More...

Mermaids in Manhattan? Yep, a wealthy man picks the most beautiful women in the world to be 'mermaids' in his exclusive club. They are very well paid, live in a posh apartment and don't have to worry about much...except keeping their virginity. That normally wouldn't be a problem for Xenia, but once she meets Derek Prince, she knows she may have just met the one person that would make her give everything up.

This was a quirky read, but I did enjoy a spicy story told from a man's perspective. Dere More...

This book was fun, romantic, sweet, and entertaining. A story about what we are willing to sacrifice when we find true love.

Derek Prince decides to tell his two best friends about Xenia, a mysterious woman he met a year ago. Xenia is a Mermaid, a group of women who work at a very exclusive club called Fathoms. The Mermaids are all gorgeous, flirtatious- and virgins! To lose their virginity means to lose their status as a Mermaid and all that comes with it... a luxury apartment, a huge paycheck, More...

At Fathoms in Manhattan, the city’s most beautiful women are employed and given the mysterious titles of mermaids. The women are tattooed with special metallic ink, wear special mermaid pendants, and are all virgins. Getting into Fathoms is next to impossible, so when Derek Prince finds himself in the elite club, he’s not only intrigued by the secret underground club, but the beautiful Xenia as well. Soon Derek finds himself unable to resist Xenia and struggles to keep his hands to himself. If a More...

This was really different from the Spice Briefs I've read. Most of the time when I read these shorts, I wonder how you can pack so much sex in about 20-40 pages. This story didn't do that.

It is told as a story by Derek, and through him you see an unusual club in NYC and you meet Xenia one of Fathom's mermaids.

Tiffany's writing style reminded me of Anais Nin. I can't give an author a higher compliment. The sex was steamy, but not raunchy. I like that in erotica. There was a sensuality to the sex More...

3.5 stars for a unique, romantic modern day tale with a fairy tale feel.

After my first foray into Tiffany Reisz' writing with SEVEN DAY LOAN, I thought I knew what to expect with IMMERSED IN PLEASURE. I was pretty wrong. Where the former was dark and sultry, this short was sweet and light.

I've not read a Spice Brief before, so I don't know if they are all about the same length, but this was a bit short for me to really sink myself into the characters enough to be emotionally vested in whether or More...

My name is Candace and I have a Tiffany Reisz obsession. I LOVE these interconnecting short stories that keep us emerged in the ”Original Sinners” world.
Can we please get more mermaids? Pretty please with a Kingsley on top?

I recommend reading THE SIREN before starting any of the short stories that take place in the Original Sinners world, including this one.

After reading everything released in Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series, I decided to read this short by her. I’ve become a very fast fan so hopes were high. I wasn’t let down at all. This short managed to be both sexy and incredibly sweet. It also included one of my favorite characters, Kingsley Edge. He only had a few appearances, but I loved that connection to the Original Sinners. Derek has just about given up on women when he meets Xenia, a young virgin who works in one of Kingsley’s e More...

Tiffany Reisz does it again with this delicious tale about Fathoms, a special NYC club that features some of the most beautiful women in the city. With silvery fin tattoos on their feet, ankles and thighs, they're Kingsley Edge's "mermaids," swimming naked while serving as hostesses for the eager men who frequent the club. But to be a mermaid at Fathoms means that you must be a virgin -- and remain one while you work there. And when Derek Prince falls in love with the ethereal Xenia, he discover More...

Derek Prince's night on the town takes a sexy turn when he meets a mermaid. No, not a real one, but one of the nearly legendary beautiful, virginal women who entertain Manhattan's most prominent men. Entranced, by her beauty and charm, he follows her into the infamous nightclub, Fathoms where he discovers how the other half really live!

This story does a lot of back and forth. This is because it is told from the perspective of the main male character, but he is telling a story to his friends. So you have him in the present relaying the story and you have him reliving the actual story in his head.

This is an ODD book. It is about mermaids, but not really mermaids. They are primarily virginal women who's job is to swim around naked for the elite of Manhattan.

A HOT rendition of The Little Mermaid!

I read The Siren By Tiffany Reisz several weeks ago, and have since devoured anything by her I could get my hands on.

Kingsley Edge owns an assortment of “Underground Clubs” and one of which is the Fathoms in Manhattan. This is where there are rumored to be some of the most beautiful women in the city, but they aren’t just women, they are Kingsley’s Mermaids. These mermaids entertain the most elite and powerful, and they are unattainable virgins. Most don’t More...

4 Stars! What an imaginative tale by Tiffany Reisz! I loved it, and really had no idea what to expect. The Manhattan Mermaids is an elite, invite only, club. The women are beautiful, they entertain, but are not to be touched. They are all virgins. The main characters, Xenia and Derek, were just such fun getting to know. I loved their banter and conversation. Immersed In Pleasure was much less spicy than other Spice Briefs, but incredibly romantic. There seems to be much to explore in the Manhatt More...

At 46 pages, this short story provides a satisfactory in-between read. There's not much going on story wise but it it had the right amount of steam to make it a good sexy getaway. Personally I wanted to know more about these mermaids and Kingsley in particular. The man is so suave and enigmatic, he's the quiet but dangerous shark in a suit that's too smooth for comfort, I find him more interesting than Derek. Now the mermaid myth left me guessing, I'm not quite sure if they are REAL mermaids or More...

A story about a mermaid and a prince.

Ok, so its not that story but there is a mermaid, Xenia, and a Derek Prince in Immersed in Pleasure. It’s a short story about how Derek meets a mermaid in one of Kingsley Edge’s infamous nightclubs. As if being a mermaid wasn’t special enough, these mermaids are also virgins and Xenia is no exception. Derek wants Xenia and there is amazing chemistry between them but being with Derek More...

IMMERSED IN PLEASURE is another captivating tale from Tiffany Reisz! I love that this story is told from a male point-of-view. It begins as Derek Prince is telling his two friends about his provocative encounters with Xenia, one of the Manhattan Mermaids. The perfect summer read! This novella is so unusual I found it nearly haunting. The world Tiffany so carefully created is a perfect example of "setting as a character". Yes, it's erotica, but it's also a stunningly beautiful love story. This is THE book to load on your Kindle for summer vacation - your significant other will thank you ;) I was also pleasantly surprised to see a character from this story show up when I read The Siren - Kingsley was too interesting not to meet again :)
