Review from Tamika - age 7

Little Good Wolf was a very good book for children who are reading early chapter books. I loved Aleesah's Unicorn Riders and The Totally Twins are awesome! I have the whole series. This one is for younger readers but I still read it for a good easy read.

Little Good Wolf's father is the Big Bad Wolf so he has no friends at school. He tries to avoid his Dad but his Dad eventually finds him and he talks to him about it and says he will change jobs. He tries lots of jobs bu

Little Good Wolf's father is the Big Bad Wolf. Little Good Wolf finds it hard to make friends because of his nasty father so he sends his father off in search of a new job ... when he finds out that being big and bad is part of his father's job - it pays well.
This book gave me a giggle, it's fun, it's cute and it's a little quirky.
This short chapter book is aimed towards the beginner or early reader - though my 11 year old boy read it and thought it was fun too.

This charming chapter book by Australian author Aleesah Darlison tells the other side of the Big Bad Wolf's story. His son Little Good Wolf is sad and lonely. The other kids won't play with him because of his Dad's behaviour (chasing Red Riding Hood, destroying the houses of the three little pigs etc). When Little Good Wolf finally talks to his father about it, the Big Bad Wolf resolves to try to find another job that doesn't involve being bad. However, nothing seems to suit until his son comes ...more

Four and a half stars.

Little Good Wolf's dad is the BIG BAD Wolf. Yep, chaser of small girls in red hoods, huffer and puffer outside various little piggy residences, general bringer of fear and fright to Fairytale Land.

All of which means that Little Good Wolf finds it very very hard to make friends. Everyone at his school is scared of what the BIG BAD Wolf might do if Little gets upset.

And Little is upset. He's lonely. Isolated. Ignored.

As soon as BIG BAD hears of the problem, he decides to get

This is a fresh take on the fairy tale characters we know. Once Big BadWolf realises his son Little Good Wolf is bullied because of his reputation, he tries to change jobs. Eventually he finds the perfect fit...

Little Good Wolf is a fun story for children who are up to reading easy chapter books. It's a good story with a great lesson for kids to learn about being open and talking with their parents. Little comes up with a wonderful solution to his problem.

It also gives a quieter message about exclusion and bullying that I enjoyed. The other kids at school excluded Little because of what his dad did. When Little was able to talk with his dad about his problems, they were able to come up with a solution.
