Revealed (Brides of the Kindred #5)
Nadiah has the Sight—the ability to see into the future. But the one thing she can’t see is how she’s ever going to be free of the blood bond her parents forced her into when she was only six. Her fiancée is an evil bastard who delights in torturing her and her only way out of a loveless marriage is for a Kindred warrior to challenge the hated bond. But Nadiah has no warri...more

This entry into the Kindred saga sets our world up for a whole new evil - worse than the Scourge! Ms. Anderson also introduces a new couple and many new twists in the story line. I almost feel it was a few too many new twists, but my interest is snagged and, like a kid with cookies, want the next one as soon as I finish the one in my hand. I particularly like Rast and Nadiah and it was great fun catching up with the other couples on the Kindred mother ship. I'd say more but don't want to spoil a...more
I don't buy e-books very often(actually, I spend my $$ on TOUCHABLE books, so I can't save up to get an e-reader. If you have an old one you'd like to donate to a good home, I'm your gal. (✿ ◡‿◡))...While trying to get "into" another book I'm in the process of wading through (sigh, it's boring) I decided to read Evangeline Anderson's latest in her Brides of the Kindred series...She's on my MUST buy list, and I break my rule pf "no e-books" for her! This series revolves around the mating search o...more
This series has been sliding from a science fiction setting to fantasy one since it began. Now, in book five, we're almost completely in a fantasy universe. Sure, we've traveled via FTL drive to a new planet, but after that, it's all magic. That's okay, I'm not really here for a cosmology lesson (or even correct rudimentary physics - good heavens, Evangeline, heavier objects do not fall faster than lighter objects under equal atmospheric drag!). But this is not the strongest entry in the series...more
4.5 Star Review!!
This series has been exciting, sexy and refreshing from the very beginning. While I do like my series to have an ending in sight, this one seems to be going strong for the time being. I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Revealed is book five in the Brides of the Kindred series. In the first four books we enjoyed how each of the different Kindred and then the Scourge found their mates. In this new book, we are introduced to a new being. I’m not going to give anything away, so I’ll just s...more

1.5 stars- only because I'm not ready to admit I hated it as much as Fifty Shades of Grey.
OK, where do I begin with this trainwreck? After utterly adoring the rest of the series and recommending it to everyone I know who enjoys lusty paranormal romance, disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about this book.
1. The editing. Did we fire our editor between this book and the last one? While I can forgive a lot of mistakes self-published authors make, "roll" instead of "role" over an...more

This book sucked so much ass I don’t even know where to start. Initially I was somewhat excited to read it, as I didn’t know it had come out, and even though I think the series is ultimately kind of stupid, I still enjoy my doses of Evangeline-erotica. No one does dirty talk better, I swear.
But the story…damn it was a huge cheese-fest. The whole thing played out like a bad Disney movie. And the characterization was markedly poor in this one. The antagonists were straight up evil, with no shades...more

This is really closer to a 4.5 but again, the half star omission on all sites. I LOVE the Kindred Series. It is a becoming a formula series that has the *exact* recipe I love. I feel confident, as a reader, when I begin a Kindred installment I'll enjoy the following: hot romance, alpha-males coming out of my ears, action, intrigue, sci-fi and evil plotters who get theirs in the end. How could one ask for more?

Another Kindred book! I love this series, it has started many fantasies about being transported to an alien space ship and...probed by a sexy Kindred warrior (or Warriors!) and this book has furthered my obsession with all things Kindred.
Revealed is about Nadiah, Sylvan's cousin and Adam Rast, the human detective who has made a career out of finding the lost. Nadiah and Rast's attraction has been growing since they first met at Sylvan's Bonding, but despite starting off on a tongue to...more

I liked Rast and Nadiah in this story, she wasn't the whiny heroine that some of the others can be. That being said, this wasn't my favorite story of the series by a long shot. I'm really not digging Tranq Prime and their backwards ways and sometimes the rules that all the Kindred and other aliens abide by are just too ridiculous.
I do love her writing, but this book fell far short for me due to some major editing problems. In some places the errors stopped me dead (she refers to Rast as "RAT" in...more

I am a big fan of the Brides of the Kindred series. The story of Nadia & Adam Rast is one that we have expected and one that brings a lot of excitement. This book was no disappointment. I loved this story as much as I loved Found. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the first 3 books as well but Found and Revealed are my favorite of the series.

I put someone in this book annoyed me simply because it's a part of an annoying person series. Rast, the hero, annoyed me in the beginning. Seriously, you are dealing with a new life form, an alien, and you simply cannot imagine that different life forms might have gifts/talents/abilities that you are not used to. Nope, they all have to be just like humans in their abilities (although they have proven this to NOT be the case over and over again). Otherwise, it was a pretty decent story. I couldn...more
I adore Evangeline Anderson. I think this Brides of the Kindred series is unique and just good reading. She can spin a series. I've read all of the series so far and this one was a wonderful continuation with Nadiah and Adam Rast as the leads.
I did not expect Adam to become such a powerful leader, of a world, no less. I actually did not see this coming, nor his wings. Can't wait for the next part of the series.

The author has gone back to the formula that worked in her earlier works. I loved this one. I always know there was something about Detectective Rast. This series hasn't run it's course. Each book has the different factor tha doesn't make the plot stale. And now with the Draven in on the story. It's just like a whole new series.
On a personal note, I bet the author loved writing the epilogue scene to get out a little stress releave. And if she did WOOZER.

Of the series, this is the best so far. There was an actual plot (albeit a tropey one) and there was not as much mindless rough sex.
That being said, there is no character development (much like the rest of the series). I got tired of all of other couples plot lines, we could have spent the time on character and relationship building.
I do have to say that Rast might be my favorite male character of this series. The female was the typical romantic lead shell.

I am very happy with Anderson's latest installment into the Brides of the Kindred series. The first 3 books didn't do it for me, but when I got to Lauren and Xairn's story, I fell in love with the characters and the depth with which they developed. I thought Rast's story was very cleverly written and it was very fun to see the journey that they took in this book that started a book or two ago. Now, I'm biting my nails with anticipation for Merrick and Elise's story. They were so captivating to r...more
I really love this series but this book ehhh not so much,it was just wayyy too predictable and extremely sappy. I didn't really feel the love between Rast and Nadiah both were just sooo...Blah (there's really no other word to describe them lol) there were no twist and turns in the story...well not including the ones that you didn't see coming 5 chapters ago. the only thing that was really enjoyable about this book was Merrick and Elise's story which I cannot wait to read more of, and Draven who...more
"God, if there's anything more dangerous than a curious virgin I don't want to know what it is."
Ohhhh, Detective Rast.
This series is so utterly dependable for a good time. I've said it before, and I will say it again. Evangeline Anderson KILLS it with her delicious mix of sci-fi and erotica - every. single. time. I could fan-girl over her for hours.

Well, the newest book in Ms. Anderson's Kindred series. I can't say that I was completely overcome, but the book still wasn't bad. Still, I kind of get the feeling that this series is beginning to run its course. In any case, I found the story riveting enough that it kept me reading, eager to find out what happens next, but I find myself growing just a bit bored. Even so, I'll probably pick up the next installment when it comes.
Still a good book and a nice addition to the series.

Detective Rast and Nadiah´s story. Rast is human but Nadiah brings out feelings inside him that he´s not sure what to do with.
When her bond from childhood and her parents intended starts making themselves known through pain, he soon stands up to challenge the blood bond, but how is a human supposed to do this? We also get to see Merrick saving Elise, the one the Allfather abducted and tortured in the last book, and how their story starts. Can´t wait to see their HEA.

Good God, I had such high hopes. But, it might just be time to stop while your ahead. I'll continue on with this series because I am super anal about finishing series but Jesus. The formula seems to be the same. Meet, resist, love, some kink, issues, maybe almost death, love and bond. Oh and the final danger is coming ending. And could someone please knock Sophie up already?!?!
3.5 stars
I'm not sure why I didn't love this one as much as its predecessors. There were quite a few editing issues but I also felt like the other characters stories (Merrick & Elise, the Girls, Lauren and Xairn) were used as a supplement because Nadiah and Rast's story wasn't as well developed. There just wasn't as much of their story because the others had more page time in Revealed than any of the other instalments.

I was so happy to find this the other day. I love this series. I've waited for Rast to get a book and to find out that he.... well, I won't spoil anything by sharing the news, but he's not all that he seemed to be. This was definitely a great extension to the series and I love that we get to keep visiting the other couples.
Huge Highland Berserker/Were like warriors, vampires, sexy Aliens and a touch of 50 Shades wasn't enough....now she has thrown Angels into the mix and the Demon Horde is on the way! I swear, there are 3 more books (only 2 published) and unless she pulls out a Ghost or a Zombie I have no idea what paranormal creature she can toss in there next...it still really good but Damn!
The best of the series so far in my opinion. The heroine was not annoying, and the hero and heroine seemed to be on an even playing field. They didn't play games denying their feelings and each suffered much to be together. The story moved well - there was a lot going on. A new evil is revealed. New characters were introduced. The next story line looks tantalizing.
The on-going saga of the Kindred and their brides is still going strong.
The foreshadowing of things to come confirms that this series is nowhere near the end.

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for...more
