This is Steampunk in the world of 'Space 1889.' Outwardly an adventure, the story has surprising depth and enough twists to satisfy a thriller addict. The hero isn't unrelentingly heroic, except when he absolutely needs to be. The heroine spends much of the time recovering from a gunshot wound, but nevertheless emerges as the real leader. We learn she spent much of her childhood as a captive of the Apaches, and that affects her world view.

The story takes place on
A crash landing on the planet Mars is only the begging of Nathanial and Annabel’s long and perilous journey across the harsh wastelands. They meet up with a native Martian and learn to survive the ruff terrain on their way to a British colony. They encounter a travelling troop an end up in a whole big mix problems with the Worm Cult. The next instalment of the Space 1889 & Beyond series and I can say only one thing: The dive that was Vandals on Venus was used to build up momentum and now it is going full steam ahead. Abattoir in the Aether was already one great novella and A Prince of Mars by Frank Chadwick is , well, I tell you what it is, just bear with me.

A Prince of Mars starts with intrigue and mystery, setting the stage for a more political adventure. Next, we get introduced to Kak’hamish, an old, experienced Marti
Excellent book. The characters are very compelling and the story moves very well. This is part of a series and while it helps some if you've read the previous entries this is still a very good stand alone story.

Looking forward to reading more from this author.
