People hunting demons, especially when they themselves are from another world or dimension always seem fascinating to us. In this book, the idea of a powerful warrior protecting those who are weaker takes hold in a more concrete way for Evan, the lonely man who tries to make a living as a waiter. Gar, the object of his admiration, struggles with his attraction, knowing that he is not supposed to get too close to the species his people are trying to protect.

This was an interesting book. I wish the plotting had been tighter. I kept thinking this could be so much MORE with a rewrite. But I did enjoy it. ;)
What a sweet story. I wanted to give it 5 stars but there were some moments that were just a little far-fetched for me, but they did not get in the way of me enjoying this story. Gar was hot and Evan was a sweetheart. I wanted a little more of the dream sequence loving at the beginning but that's just cause I'm a perv. LOL!

I'm not very fond of sci-fi/ paranormal stories, because some of them are very boring and some of the plots for me are hard to understand.
This story was simple and quite enjoyable actually.
If you are a fan of sci-fi / paranormal you may find this story lacking, although, for me it was great.
