Quite a good story premise, the sense of humour reminded me of Terry Pratchett at times.

Would probably appeal to younger kids wanting to read books in the style of Harry Potter and Lemony Snicket but not yet ready.

Author wasn't always aware of their audience - using unfamiliar terms and inappropriate language, plus things an eleven-year-old girl would be unlikely to say.

The plot was so implausible that I couldn't keep going. Killer butterflies?? Are you kidding me? This read like a bad mix of Harry Potter and The Lightening Thief with so many grammar and spelling errors that I couldn't continue. In addition, this book was written as something YA when it is clearing a middle grades book. Don't bother wasting your time. My blog review:http://obsessivebookworm.wordpress.co...
