While reading "Lair of the White Wyrm", it was easy to picture this as one of the latest movies on the Sy Fy channel, or as an hour long Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Tales from the Darkside, or Twilight Zone prodigy. It's not bad if you like that sort of thing. The story itself, although not short, was significantly shorter than your average length novel. Is that the criteria for a novella? Who knows? This amateur doesn't, for sure.

This is a wonderfully creepy story that mixes paranormal, horror, suspense and mystery. You won't find any gore or overly descriptive bloody scenes to make you cringe. Lea Ryan relies more on a psychological edge to get readers on the edge of their seats. And I was definitely on edge! The characters have tremendous depth and the plot kept me involved from start to finish. I enjoyed everything about this one.
An amazing book of suspense! I did not want to put this book down until it was finished. I will read this one over and over again!
