I read this book in high school, some years ago. Very readable and researched, with a complimentary bent towards the Marquis. Useful especially, for modern readers to understand how Lafayette was viewed even several decades after his death by Americans. I found it an enticing and informative read. Anyone seeking historical rigor should read complimentary text for a well rounded view. I would recommend this book to middle school students and above.
