I wanted to review this book partly because of the story but also partly because it takes place in my home state of Ohio. This was a quick, albeit emotional, read that I really enjoyed. I loaded it on to my Nook and read it each night before bed while we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach. It only took me two nights and that's only because I was dead tired by bed time.

I absolutely loved this book! From beginning to end it had me completely captivated. I loved the relationship between Mya and Michael, and I have to say that I did not see the twist with Audrey’s character coming. I liked that it threw me for a loop because it kept the story from being too predictable. The stuff that Mya went through with her father had me in tears and I love the way her character gained strength through the experience.
