Alle had no idea a date with her hot coworker, James, was going to go so terribly wrong. She should have refused to go as soon as he told her they were going ghost-hunting in an old abandoned mental hospital. It didn't take long to discover that they are the ones who are being hunted.

I loved this short story! I say short story because it seemed to short to be considered a novella, but it sure did pack a punch.

The story starts out with the protagonist getting ready to go on a first date with a co-worker, but soon finds out that his idea of a romantic evening is stalking around in an abandoned insane asylum, with his group of ghost hunter buddies. The story progresses from there and every page, just keeps getting darker and darker, leading up to an ending that made me hold my...more

I’ve just finished reading this book and it was a really nice, easy read. Regina sets the scene in an abandoned mental hospital and does a good job in expressing the feeling that someone is watching our main character, Alle.

The only thing that puts me off this book really is the use of Twitter and Facebook. I know exactly why it’s used and it does fit. I just feel it really dates your work to use those things. It’s like when you see mobile phones and things in films, it really dates it. Like if...more

This short story written by Regina Puckett is spine tingling. Alle has agreed to go on a first date with a co-worker, James, to a ghost hunting party with many others. In the dark of night, they all go to an abandoned, old mental health hospital. There are several buildings and the the hunters spread out among the buildings. Alle stays close to James, hanging on to him at times as they wander through the very dark hallways filled with debris. Suddenly, Alle realizes that she's no longer behind J...more

Terror filled read!

I will now look at amateur ghost hunting in a totally new light because of MINE by REGINA PUCKETT. This is a wickedly scary read.

Alle is excited to go on a first date with the cute co-worker, James, until she finds out that they are going to be with a group of amateur ghost hunters in an old, dirty, abandoned mental hospital. Getting over the fact that no dinner came...more

Wow! Is how I am going to start this review. This is the first book I have read from author Regina Puckett and I am so glad I did. Regina writes in a way that as soon as I picked up the book I didn't stop reading until I reached the end. I felt like I was the character in the story even reaching for my own protection. I had goosebumps. I looked around when I could even feel a breath on my neck. Regina has a great writing style so easy to read. Which is what you want out of any author. Congrats R...more

Brought back some spine-tingling memories
How many of us remember the haunted house, warehouse, old train depot, hotel, whatever, from our childhood and the chills that ran up and down our spines as we tried to put on the "I'm brave, bored look" to our friends? Mine by Regina Puckett had me recalling those days. Regina took all those memories and wrapped them up in one young girl, Alle, and kept her fear adrenaline running all the way to the surprise ending. Job well done, Ms. Puckett.

Regina Puckett is able to give me chills reading her books even in the daytime! She managed to pack a lot into 21 pages. Her stories are always well written and this one does not disappoint.

This book takes place in an abandoned mental hospital where James takes Alle for their first date to hunt for ghosts. Kind of an odd place for a first date but who am I to talk. I was taken to a cemetery for a first date to meet his grandparents who happened to, ummm, live there. True story.

I highly recommend...more

I'm not much into reading horror yet I enjoyed this story. Alle is on a first date and she gets both less and more than what she expected.Tired of waiting for the missing James, she sets out to rescue herself and call 911. But is she truly safe or is their more?

What a great and scary short story. I could not put it down until I had finished reading it. A must read for any horror fan. My only negative point is that I wished it was a longer book. Lets see what else Regina Puckett has in store for us.
