Tihis was a good little indie read. The story was well thought out, but the ending came together so quickly, it left me wanting a bit more.

While the plot was excellent, the characters fell flat in several places. Though I wanted to like Kate, she was a bit underwhelming. She did a lot of shaking and similar cliche girly reactions to stress which I found insincere. My other issue is this romance that felt nearly real, but missed the mark as it never got more than surface deep. I have a real probl

An intelligent, extremely well crafted story with metaphysical references – many would say metaphysical truth – meticulously woven within. D. L. Marriott's main character, Kate, is in for the ride of a lifetime. Actually, several lifetimes. A nearby graveyard literally haunts her dreams, and quickly much more of her life. The stories of the dead therein take over, and she is at a loss for answers. Her roommates are confused, but ultimately supportive. A budding relationship with a man is diverte ...more

I absolutely love this book it was a little confusing but the end came together really well. I wish there was a second book to explain the other souljourner to see how she had gotten herself into that mess in the first place. I would recommend the book to people that like paranormal unusual books. It has a great premise, plot, and wonderfully descriptive.

I'll be doing a more in-depth book review of this book later. I'll say it was a pleasure, finally, to read an indie book with so few errors--only three, and they were easily typos. Nice story with a genuine twist, though I suspected it about midway through. Well-written, though I'm a little tired of "romance" without a hint of sex.

Souljourner was a look into a young woman's discovery of hidden talents, which are both frightening and exhilarating. D. L. Marriott keeps us guessing as to what is real and what is not. Is Kate dreaming or truly experiencing the lives of those who rest in the cemetary across the street? The author shows us how Kate grows from these experiences, learns to trust those she loves most, and accepts herself for who she is. The twist in the end will not only explain Kate's newly found talent, but give ...more
