While pop surrealism and the overplayed replicated-til-it's-mundane style of so many Mark Ryden wannabes has become so prevalent as to seem a bit easy or cheeseball, Tara McPherson still manages to stand out. In this third volume of her work, her figures remain dark and weird, her palette is the same playful combination of black, bubblegum and seafom that's become her signature and her style, so impeccably neat and honed that it's hard to believe these are paintings, is exactly what your eyeball...more

I'm a big Tara McPherson fan and was lucky enough to meet her one year when I went to Comic Con in San Diego. A lovely soft spoken woman, she was kind enough to autograph postcards of her work that I bought, which now hand in my library.

Her unique style is eye catching. Wherever I am, I immediately know her work. In a comic book shop, out on the street, on a website or on book covers.

This is one of the best work of art book collections I've ever read. Tara McPherson is really one of the leaders in Pop Surrealism. She has knack of making such simple images look so interesting.

This book contains images of her Bunny in the Moon solo exhibition held in New York. Not only does it contain all the works in the exhibit but also includes some of Tara's working drafts for the pieces.

It was an exciting read. It doesn't bore you like other art book collections does. It can excite and i...more

I'm a little biased when it comes to Tara's books, as I LOVE! her art work. Her books are some of my most treasured in my library. When I need a cheer up I open her books and smile :D

A beautiful book with the amazing art of Tara McPherson!

What I liked the most about it it's that with every painting comes the sketches and the REAL ROUGH sketches. The last one being the kind you do when starting the process of an art piece, which I can totally relate to- as a draw myself- and think it's admirable that such a great artist share this with her fans.

The art in here is all inspired by the mythology from different places, what makes this book even better!

That's the book you need if...more
