He had me at a professor, an ancient relic, gnostic, esoteric knowledge, and multiple shadowy cabals. But by the time I reached the third chapter of "The Grimoire (The Greenwillow Chronicles)," I realized I could not put it down, and henceforth spent many a night fighting hunger and sleep to get in another chapter.
