This has GOT to be one of my favourite ET books EVER. It wasn't too long, so it didn't drag on and on and get extremely boring. It was quick, straight to the action and whole point of the book, packed with an exciting and gripping story and a cliffhanger ending to die for. What's not to like?

You see I'm not a big fan of alien books. I usually find them boring and uninteresting they just don't catch and hold my attention.
BUT in what I would call a rarity I liked this one. Ella should be really h
Yet another variation of the boy/girl love story, but this time instead of vampires, werewolves, or casters, we have something more otherworldly. The inconsistent and infrequent switch in narration between Milo and Nick was confusing. Of course it ends without ending ... Where do I go from Here?

I was surprised to finish this book and find that I did like the story. I’m not an avid reader of YA-Dystopian books but Nick and Milo’s story hooked me up.

Nick is the mysterious guy that suddenly appears as Milo was hitting a dear. He came out of nowhere. I know at first hand that he’s the mysterious effect on the story – he’s precise in everything he sees, knows what everything and anything is made out of and knows about Greats Gatsby and Star Wars but he doesn’t know anything about who he rea

Shock and AWE!!!!
I can honestly say I had NEVER read a book like this one. This definitely is one of a kind.
Always expect the unexpected with Ella James. Very smart of her to keep me guessing as to what one of the main characters was. Hmm point for you Ella! For a little bit....I am shaking my head saying...never have I read a book where a deer turns into a human. Well let’s just say WRONG!!! No deer here baby!
One thing I am loving about Ella James, is how she always seems to place simple thin
I really enjoyed this book. Although I am an avid reader, this was the first book I have read by Ella James. I will definitely be back for more!! In this book, a girl named Milo deals with the loss of her father by taking on a project he had been working on before his death- tracking deer. One day when she is out tracking them, she shoots a sedative dart at a fawn. When she goes to see the deer, there is a boy (Nick) in a tuxedo in the spot where the fawn was and the dart is stuck in him. He has ...more
I am going to start this review by saying I was blown away!! I LOVED it...I didn't want to put it down(although there were a few moments that I had to...UGH!!)...Totally mesmerized by it....Ella James has done a fantastic job creating a unique urban fantasy that everyone can jump in to and find themselves completely wrapped up in Milo and Nick!

Here is a book in which you have to read to find out what all the intrigue and suspense is all about. It is short with only 182 pages, but there is so muc
A Well Read Woman (April)

Milo Mitchell bites off a bit more than she can chew when she mistakenly shoots a dart at a boy instead of a deer while working on her deceased father’s mule deer tracking project… The boy appears dazed, has a bit of amnesia, but is fortunately, (for them both), otherwise unhurt. Full of regret for her neglectful actions, she takes him home and tries her hardest to “fix” him.

“Nick” experiences strange hallucinations, he’s assuming from the dart, and discov

I reviewed this book for Young Adult and Teen Readers. Hearing the name, I was excited. I've heard of Ella James but had not yet read any of her work, and given the fact that I haven't read any YA lately, I was ready to give it a go.
The book did start out a little choppy. We open with the heroine and her friends at a sleepover waking up and talking about going to play paintball and who was going to shoot who in the nuts for being a cheater. Funny, but for someone like me who doesn't do well with

Ella James has done it again! Lord I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be a part of this tour and to read another book by Ella just blew me away! This story starts out with Milo having a little bit of a breakdown and she shuts the world out. She spends her time in her tree house with a tranquilizer gun just watching the deer go by. Then one day she accidentally shoots a deer and that deer becomes a human. Frightened but intrigued Milo takes this stranger home.

Wow, this was a great story. I wonder how I missed this author but when I got a hold of this book, I found an author that I knew I was going to follow from here on out. I enjoyed her writing style and the flow of this story. Because I don’t want to share any spoilers, I’m going to give as little detail as possible, but this story will surprise you of the outcome so you have to read it to find it out yourself.
Milo Mitchell lives in Colorado. Her dad passed away two years ago and she finds herself
I had received this book several months ago, I think I won it in a contest. It was still pretty much in a raw form at that time. Generic cover, etc. Since than I had kept up with the author through Facebook and purchased her Stained series. During this time Here received a facelift. The gorgeous cover really caught my eye, ok, it helps that the majority of the cover is an eyecatching hottie. Anyway, around the same time I participated in the cover release of Trapped and decided to purchase the u ...more
I’m not impressed with this book. It falls short of nearly ALL of my expectations.

1. You like alien stories
2. You do not need any sort of character development
3. You aren’t bothered by the government being portrayed in a completely unrealistic way

1. I’m a sucker for aliens. Especially young-adult-full-of-angst-hot-guy aliens. That right there was the whole reason I bought this book in the first place. I was intrigued. Nick had the whole “young-adult-

My Review~
I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite Sci-Fi fiction books I have read. The characters are very relatable. The story is about Milo who is recovering from her father's death and trying to find a place in the world. She does so by continuing her father's researc

WHAT??!! Seriously??

Ok - so the whole book was intense. I was sucked into every single moment of it. I loved every part of it. The last part of the book was so gripping...I was ready for the big bang...and all I am left with is, WHAT??!! Seriously?? I have to have TRAPPED NOW!!!

Now I have that out of my system. On to the REAL part of the review.

Milo Mitchell - OMG...seriously, I connected with this girl right from the start. Granted I haven't really been through anything like this girl has been
If you have read the Stained Series by Ella James you would be pretty familiar with her writing style. Not matter what the story is, James does a fantastic job on the imagery and story telling.

Here is about a girl named Milo Mitchell. Her dad passed away two years ago and ever since than she has sort of felt like she is looking from the outside in. She still hasn't really gotten over the loss and somethings tend to trigger off her emotions.
While she is out tracking Deer a freakish storm hits and

Ella, Ella, Ella. How could you? Really? You get my blood pumping at the end of the book and then just leave it like THAT? Really? lol!

I really liked this book. It was so mysterious; wondering who this guy is? What this guys is? He's there. He's gone. He's back. Chaos Erupts. Wild chases. Trying to hide. Chaos erupts again. Confusion. Scared. What's happening? What's going to happen? And then... the cliffhanger.

I really hate giving spoilers in reviews so that's how I'm going to leave the explana
I totally loved this book! I had my doubts about it when I first read the synopsis since I thought the idea had been overdone already, and it couldn't have much originality to it but boy was I wrong!

I admit that the first few chapters were a little slow and I was confused most of the time, but it wasn't until we got to Nick telling the story that I was hooked. It was interesting to see that although he was an alien, he was smart and had all this knowledge in his head, was strong, and had super
Ever since her father's death, Milo Mitchell has lived a bleak existence. She can't forget the goodness her father has done, and will do everything possible to uphold his memory. So much so, that she's determined in finishing the project he was last working on. In her mind, it'll allow her to do what he set out to do, and bring closure to the pain and heartache she feels inside.

When her first encounter with the deer goes awry, Milo finds herself feeling unsure as to what to do. An unknown boy no

Milo Mitchell is only now coming out of shell, slowly recovering from her extreme depression brought on by her father’s death more than two years ago. She’s beginning to eat foods that were once on her “forbidden” list and tries hard to remember to eat regularly now. She’s a relatively normal teenager, stays out of trouble, except for lying to the Department of Conservation an

I will honestly admit I wasn't sure about this book. I loved her stained series, and it took my a while to fall for love inc. the cover had me wondering about. Yet the more I saw the cover pop up on my Facebook, I finally decided to read it. Once I started reading it after work I couldn't put it down. Going to bed at two am. First time a girl is the one to captivate my heart and not the male character. :) her story has my heart slightly breaking, her awkwardness as a teenager around boys reminds ...more
grrr. seriously who ends a book like that... damn.. alright

Song Choice: "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol, apparently keeping with the snow patrol theme, "You're All I Have" by Snow Patrol as well.

First thoughts: I thought this was pretty awesome, it started pretty quick, lots happening, but also a little kind slow for like two seconds then we are going full force fast again. While I think the relationship between Nick and Milo could have been expanded on a little more, for the most part i didn't

3.5 stars for the creative Ella James!!!

The HERE storyline is very original and that’s one of the things I love, love, love about this book! Ella’s creativity knows no bounds. I was hooked from page one and I couldn’t get enough! Seriously, I’ve never read a plot quite like this one and believe me, IT. IS. AMAZING.

This book is filled with action-packed scenes and mysterious extraterrestrial happenings. From the start readers see that Nick isn’t….normal. When he first appeared I kind of had a “w

Just like any other paranormal romance novel, this one is is full of surprises. The novel has its own sense of personality....does that make sense? The plot is something original. There is not the ordinary, simple, overrated plot of two young teenagers who have fallen in love and are being secretive about their relationship.

On the other hand, there is truly something original about this book because it is not the same plot read over and over. When you read one paranormal romance, you have read

I am not a huge paranormal/sci fi reader, and the same goes for YA (that stage of my life is a very distant memory!!!)but I did enjoy Here.

Milo is at a time of her life where things are changing. She is grieving her fathers death, her relationships with her best friends are changing, becoming a bit estranged.

Enter "Nick" who enters her life in a flash. He is different and they are very drawn to each other.

It took me a little while to get into Here. For the first maybe 1/3 of the boo
I know I'm dropping a ton of reviews. I haven't updated Goodreads profile in a long time --- sorry if I'm annoying.

Pros: Good clean read
Somewhat unique story
I do want to read on
Wasn't predictable

Cons: Not much character development
Didn't really feel the romance to much
Ends in a cliff hanger
The government portrayal wasn't believable at all

I'll probably read on because I'm interest in seeing where it goes.

It's been a few weeks since I read it, but I would clear it
This book had me flipping through the pages like crazy to find out what happened next. Here by Ella James was very well written and had me intrigued through out the whole book .This book is about a girl named Milo who when aiming to shoot a deer shoots a guy instead. Then to add to the problem said guy doesn't remember who he is so they decide to investigate to see if they can find out his identity but the more they find out about him the more questions they have left unanswered. This book sounded interesting and when I was able to request the book I figured I'd try it out. Plus I've previous read this authors others books so I knew that I would like this book. It was later on in the book that I realized it's not the type I'm normally into, I'm more into paranormal anything then Sci Fi (or is it spelt Sy fi?). Anyways, this book did turned me some what into a fan or at lease curious to look more into that genre. Or maybe I'm just really enjoyed this book, I really wanna ...more

Milo is your typical teenager, well for the most part. She is still trying to get over her father's passing and has been continuing one of his projects in order to help her still feel close to him. Never in her life would she imagine what would come of trying to keep at least one piece of her father alive.

When a guy shows up seemingly out of nowhere Milo is baffled. Not to mention that this guy is dressed to the nines in the middle of the woods and has no memory of who he is.
