I was incredibly leery about reading this one, because the idea of trading sex for a grade didn’t seem like it would leave room for a story, it would be more of a PWP (porn without plot) kind of thing. I was happily surprised to realize there was a very decent story arc here. I do wish the story had been longer (it’s very short), because Daniel really deserves his story be told in more detail.

I can see that some readers might be put off by Daniel in this story. My feelings for him changed as the story progresses. Daniel has an agreement with Troy, sex for an A grade in his economics class. At first it’s just all fun and games, Troy tells him about all the guys, including other teachers, he has sex with, and Daniel’s no angel either, however as the semester comes to a close, things have started to change for Daniel. Grade-A-Sex Deal (College Fun and Gays, #2) by Erica Pike
Erica Pike has written the second novel in the series College Fun and Gays, I really like Erica’s writing it’s easy to read and before you know it your at the end of the book wanting more. Can I say hurry up Erica I need book 3.

3.5. A lot packed into a short story here.
So at first, I thought that maybe the subject matter would be a little bit off-putting. Somehow sex for grades seems a bit sordid. But this is actually a very interesting and affecting story about a man who is a teacher by default since his family destroys his life and livelihood when he reveals his sexuality. I really hated that Daniel's son could not accept his father's identity. However, I truly think that the scenes in this story - while painful - w...more

Who hasn’t had an attraction to a teacher during their youth? Well this takes it one step further and shows the other side of when the teacher is more than willing to accept sex for a grade change. Mr. Corrigan is a heart breaking character whose life has changed all because he decided to be honest with himself and to the people who he thought cared for him. This story is actually pretty sad at times but hit on so many levels of what some people have probably actually gone through in their lives...more
Cute, angsty, hot, and worth reading. I really enjoyed this story. It very effectively tugged at my heartstrings, which was great.
Although the last sentence was disappointing--it seemed ominously Happly-For-Now, which was less optimistic than the lead-up suggested for the resolution--I still had great fun reading Grade-A-Sex Deal. It was a fun introduction to Pike's work.

I was a bit hesitant to read this one because I'm not really fond of the whole trading sex for grades theme. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see the genuine feelings Daniel and Troy had for each other. How wrong I was because these two definitely show genuine, intense feelings. My heart broke for Daniel and the situation he's in with his ex-wife and kids and his job.

I don’t know whether I really like this one, or completely dislike it. I love Erica Pike's writing, she's quickly becoming a fave author of mine; and so I was a little disappointed in this one. It could be because the story has so much going on, and not enough time to explore them in such a few pages.
Daniel was married and living a lie, but he couldn’t hide from whom he truly was. So he decided to come clean to a wife he thought of his best-friend, and hope that somehow his children would unders...more

Very steamy story about a down-on-his-luck (and mood, very much) teacher whose jaded years, depression, and recent lack of morals leads him to making "grade-A-sex deals" with various students. He slowly starts to do away with them however, when he falls for one of his students. Troy comes off as sexy, very slutty, and flighty. In the end, however, the story is really about how little each men show the other about who they really are and how different they in fact are from their percepti...more

I like higher ed in general - and this one's setup was slightly naughty and decadent. Grades for sex - the classic scandal. Here though you get a down on his luck middle aged guy and a bright hot young student. The sex was fine - suitable to the story. The surrounding characters were also suitable and, unfortunately, a little bit heart breaking. The POV felt a bit off - it felt different in places. Sometimes remote and sometimes intimate it made this short read a bit confusing to me as far as em...more
I know these books are suppose to be little shorts that are about "the fun" - however this book almost made me want to go into it and strangle the main character. He was awful and woe is me and I find the author did everything and anything to redeem his shitty personality by making everyone else mean and him a victim. No thanks. Plus the guy getting it on with one of his students and who happened to be a year older than his own son made me cringe.

The student-professor theme is not my favorite at all. And although this story was well-written I never really warmed up to the main characters. I especially had a hard time liking Daniel who gives his students higher grades for sexual favors. It’s not only that, but he just never seems to become sympathetic. I recon his character and behavior is too complex for a short story like this, and probably would come out better in a novel. Just like the topic of d...more

Second installment in this series. It was not what I expected and has a bit more questionable content. This one is basically about a professor who has sex with his student in exchange for giving the student good grades. According to the story, this is fairly common practice, which I found a bit odd, but it is only a story, after all. That aside, the professor and the student both go through some struggles as the end of their relationship nears with the end of the class and how their relationship...more

This is my favorite of the series so far (I've read them out of order).
There's something about the depressed college professor who hates his life, job, everything...except for one of his students, Troy.
Oh and professor Daniel has an agreement with Troy, sex for an A. Daniel is one angry man and he takes out his frustrations on Troy (hot scenes, BTW)
This was story was easy to read and quick. I liked the ending. I disliked Daniel's son Anthony. He's a jerk.
