High school science teacher Grace Fox doesn't believe in any of that woo-woo stuff. So it's easy to laugh off her friend's prediction that she'll have swear-out-loud sex with the next man who walks through her classroom door.

Who knew that local celebrity Ash Rutherford would have the time to attend his daugh

This is one of Serenity's funniest books. Possibly THE funniest, and among my very favorites. The heroine, Grace, has NO social filter whatsoever. She just sort of says whatever pops into her head. And considering she's totally bowled over by the Viking hotness of the hero, Ash, she says a lot of hilarious, inappropriate things. The first time he takes off his shirt in front of her, she tells him she'd slay goats in his honor. It's THAT sort of book.

It's also a really interesting take on spiritu

This is my first book by Serenity Woods, and I can honestly say I will be reading more.

This is a great story with a little mix of everything you would want from a romance, a little paranormal with one of the main characters being a medium, and a teenaged daughter going through the adjustment of dealing with her dad dating for the first time after her parents’ divorce, the death of her mother, and a skeptical woman who has been hurt by the crazies sh

Grace is a no-nonsense, straight-laced, believes in only what she can see and touch, facts are a must, sexy underwear loving, and racy romance novelist kind of girl. Yeah, sounds pretty normal right? This pretty little science teacher has it all figured out and lives her life through her secret writing. Relationships and sex were just messy and inconvenient. Besides, small town school teachers don't date and they absolutely do not write erotica. It can ruin your career. Grace had her share of da ...more
An Uncommon Sense has one of the most refreshing heroines I've read in a long time. Grace Fox says whatever she thinks. Literally. She has no filter. For me, this would be very bad, but since Grace has such a big heart and sweet spirit, her inevitable cringe-worthy offenses never last long and make her wonderfully endearing. She is a skeptic thrown into a relationship with a medium who looks like a Viking god. They both have acceptance issues, but the reall challenge is winning over Ash's teenag ...more
This is my first time reading this author. I found the book fun and found myself giggling every now and then. Grace us an outspoken teacher who says whatever comes to mind - subdued looking on the outside but a ball of fire on the inside. The language got me every once in a while (knickers is not in my vocab) I think I would have like a bit more development of the male character but it was a good read and I would read another of her stories.

I absolutely adored this book. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I found some of the things Grace said a little off the charts, regardless of that lack of filter between her brain and mouth. Other than that, Ash is a darling, and the story was great. I highly recommend it!

I'm struggling with expressing how I feel about this book in a way that doesn't seem as if I hated it or that it isn't worth your time. The truth is, I enjoyed An Uncommon Sense just fine. Maybe that's the problem I'm having; it was good, but not knock-your-socks off brilliant as I'd hoped.

Grace is a science teacher, therefore I fully expected her to be skeptical of Ash's abilities. That was no surprise. What annoyed me about her is that she seemed to have absolu
Very pleasant, easy read. Interesting reading the New Zealand speech pattern differences, as well.

Two nights in a row I was awake until gone midnight reading this! So to say I enjoyed this book is an understatement. I loved the characters, and the sex was... well lets just say erupting volcano's have less heat than this book!
I never found Grace's lack of a social filter too harsh, and I liked that Ash was amused by it.
It also made me cry, when Ash is working, the whole scene was just written so beautifully, it had me blubbing.
I've already started "Making Sense" which was probably a bad idea,
This was a very sweet and funny book. I really liked both Grace and Ash I hope characters like these turn up in another book of hers..

I still don't like it quite as much as the other Serenity Wood book I've been reading... but still a really good book
Good Fun Read! Loved the character (though male lead was a tad underdeveloped) and enjoyed reading about their luv journey.
Good quick read. Really liked Ash & his family. Grace was skeptical, maybe too much so...but otherwise okay.
