Sydney’s ultimate betrayal occurred at the one place she believed was her sanctuary. When that realization coalesced with the certainty her father was dead, ...more

AFTER READING THE FIRST BOOK IN THIS SERIES, I SAID I WOULD NOT READ ANYMORE. WELL, I AM TRUE TO MY BIRTH SIGN (LEO) I READ THE SECOND ONE. CURIOSITY AND ALL, GOT THE BEST OF ME. I COULDN'T LET IT BE, I LIKED THIS ONE BETTER, JUSTA' BIT. I KNEW WHO THE KILLERS WERE AFTER ONE OF THEM WAS INTRODUCED EARLY IN THE BOOK, LATER WHEN HE WAS DISCRIBED IT MATCHED HIM. MY PROBLEM WITH THIS BOOK IS THE AUTHOR HAS WAY TOO MANY USELESS CHARACTERS, MAYBE TO CONFUSE US READERS I AM NOT CONFUSED, ONLY ANNOYED. ...more

Had to get the second one after reading the first!

Again, enjoyably written with humor, character g sympathy, drama, turmoil, and solution.

Aside: As with all the books I have thus far read, I really do wish that proof reading and editng were done more conscientiously. Not only do I find this annoying, but character references are often not accurate, or clothing from minute to minute can be different...oddly while driving. Just an observation, Albeit, annoying.x

Good story line

Enjoyed the book. It will keep your interest. I do think the author tends to overuse proper names when he or she would suffice. as a general rule people don't keep using names during a conversation. I'm nitpicking here.

This book was pretty awesome. It was kind of screwed up, but definitely very elaborate and creative. The imagery was very vivid. The characters were relatable and easily drawn to. The ending made me angry, plucked me right at my heart strings!
I'll definitely continue reading the series.

Rating 3.5; Basic plot and how it progresses is not that great. The heroine is likable and interactions with the supporting cast is folksy and endearing

Good book

I enjoyed this book. The non stop pace of the writing and the knowledge of how the mind works was fascinating.
