The first word that comes to mind when I think about this book is...addictive. I was hooked by so many things; the romance, the paranormal, the action, the plot...need I go on?
I loved the fact that Dawn went her own way with the pace, that's the beauty of a book...you don't have to write what is deemed 'normal'. To me Sam and Zander's relationship kicked off just as it should. I thought the instant connection they shared was beautiful. It was as if they didn't have a choice...not that they want...more

The first couple of chapters of this book are just a bit confusing, but Dawn Gray does an excellent job catching the reader up on what is going on. I have to say that stories about ghost are something that I normally read, but I absolutely loved this book. I really enjoyed reading about the connection between Sam and Zander, and how it actually started when they were younger. Wow, ok so let me say I did not know starting out that this was a ghost story. I did not read anything about it, prior to reading it. It was part of a book club choice with author I adore. SO I WENT with it!!!

Like any other book there's likes and dislikes: One of the thing I disliked was the use of the word "GD". Over all S.P.R.I.T. is a great story about two characters that I fell in Love with right from the beginning. Sam and Zander go searching for answers to their connection to each other. I thought this book was very well written. The first 2 chapters were a little confusing but nothing that would stop you reading. It was an addictive read once you got involved- and that was very easy once I hit chapter 3. I will definitely recommend this as an awesome, addictive read that keeps you yearning for more. S.P.I.R.I.T. Fire Storm by Dawn Gray moves very fast and started with many questions formed in my head. I'm new to the Adult Paranormal genre, so maybe that's why it took me a little bit to understand it. I liked this book and especially the two main characters, Sam and Zander! Great writing for the steamy scenes between them. Some of the scenes did not connect fully in my mind, but it was a great story. Scary towards the end and some sizzling romance throughout!

I sat down to read S.P.I.R.I.T Firestorm by Dawn Gray and loved it. I went in knowing that it was a romance/paranormal book and normally I am not a graphic romance novel reader, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to get into it. NOT THE CASE! When Sam wakes up one day not knowing where she is, she feels confused and worried, and once Zander and his team arrive to ‘help’, things only become more mystifying. Zander is part of a paranormal ‘special forces’ group and it soon becomes clear that there are things happening that are way out of the control of any ordinary human being.

What a pleasant surprise awaited me, the book is fast paced, filled with two amazing characters, Samantha and Zander. Both of them get to be known by the reader as fully fledged characters. I've been a fan of Dawn Gray since reading and reviewing her Vampire Legacy series. So I was more than excited to purchase, not be given, a copy of S.P.I.R.I.T.: Fire Storm. And I'm happy I did. This story has more romance than the Vampire Legacy series but more than enough paranormal to make it not just a "romance".

Other than the name I knew nothing of this book when I started reading it. I had picked it up as part of the publishers read and review book club. And I'm glad that I did.
Now maybe I have been stuck in the YA paranormal world for a little too long, but I assumed this was also a YA novel... oh I was wrong. This is definitely for adults which i discovered fairly quickly.

This book was an awesome read! I normally get a book that has a cover that draws me in. I received this ebook free for an honest review. I was excitingly surprised of what a great story it was. This book has action, suspense, paranormal all wrapped in an amazing book. I was immediately drawn into the book and couldn't put it down. I read this story in a day, which is amazing, since it usually takes me a couple days. This is a very fast read that leaves you wanting more from Sam and Zander!!

The characters are really well written and Sam and Zander's relationship is literally smoking hot.
I love the way the story just jumps right in and had me guessing from the very first page trying to figure out what was going on. This book just didn't do it for me. It seemed to have pretty good reviews and I loved the concept so I thought it would be a good read, but it really came down to the writing on this one. The plot was really jumpy and hard to follow and the author made assumptions that the reader understood concepts that were never properly explained or developed in the book. I felt like the entire time I was reading this I was missing key information which would help me understand the plot better, like this was...more
