Who creates the cover for e-books? This cover is working against the success of this book because it is a sweet well-written modern romance with a story to tell, but the cover screams tasteless story-less erotic porn. So is it too late to change the cover and perhaps the title because it tells little of what happens in the story.

I loved this book and the complex characters. Jake and Carrie are perfect for each other but each have their own hang ups for getting together. Hers are so much more intense than his but still they are there. Jake is Carrie's new neighbor but their first contact is far from pleasant. She is being stalked and as a well read reader I figured it out quickly but it was still intense. I enjoyed this book,a sweet well-written modern romance with a story to tell, however the cover is a bit too raunchy and I don't think it suits this story at all. The plot was well thought out and even though it was easily predictable who the villain was, the author still managed to create enough suspense by not given too much away too soon. I loved the fact that Carrie had moved on from an unhappy/abusive marriage to become this powerful and smart single mum, but not too bitter to turn away som...more
This was a quick read. Carrie is a children's author living on the edge of an estate purchased by Jake. Their first meeting isn't very promising but Carrie is being threatened by someone and Jake is there when she needs him.
The characters were likable and although it was easy to figure out who was threatening Carrie, it was still an enjoyable read.
