Dammit Tim!!! WHY does this one have to be even better than the first series??!!! Now I have to wait......... Ok, so I really love the whole Kiera Hudson series, great story, great characters, continually intriguing plot, just all around really good and different. I was anxious to read this new dead flesh series side of it to see where it went and WOW. I mean it was great. I usually tend to figure the whole plot out about half way through a book and am VERY RARELY ever stumped, but I didn't see...more

I love this book, though I'm still uncertain where Mr. O'Rourke is planning to go with this series because it sort of goes back to the basics. I fell in love with Kiera because she can see and solve crimes, she is a walking CSI which never ceases to amaze me. Aside from starting back at one, there is an emotional firestorm going on in this especially with Kayla, who is incidentally the lead in this book. She is haunted by the aftermath of judgement lapse in Vampire Holl...more

Kiera Hudson and crew are back again & better than ever!! Once again Tim O'Rourke takes us on a bloody-thrill ride that will keep you up late into the nite unable to pry your eyes away from your Kindle!! I will never understand how he comes up with this stuff but boy am I glad he does, you will not find anything else like it out there.

As much as I love the first Kiera Hudson series (I am a life-long addict LMAO) this one promises many more surprises & much intrigue. I dont want to say to...more

What a great start to the 2nd series, thankfully we don't have to wait too long for the release of the next title in the series as Tim amazingly writes so quick which is great when you get hooked and you just want the next one. After series 1 I wondered where it was going to go with this one and I would never have guessed that the gang would end up dead because when that happens that's usually it end of story but not for these guys as you'll find out. An amazing series that I don't want to end!!...more

Dead Flesh is book one in the Kiera Hudson Series Two. The story picks up right where the last series left off. Kiera and the “gang” return to a world that is not quit the way they remember it. They soon find that there are more changes than they thought. Kiera finds herself faced with a problem she just can’t decline that may have bigger consequences than she planned. If you are a Kiera Hudson fan just know that Tim and the characters do not disappointed. This is the perfect start to a new seri...more

MICHELLE'S REVIEW:

RATING : 5 * WAGGLES EYEBROWS* STARS!!!

What can I say but Tim has done it again. I am left reeling from his latest instalment in the Kiera Hudson series. I get a total brain gymnastics workout when I read his books. He just pulls these crazy curveballs on the reader. I am trying to think ahead and work out where he is taking me. The specialty of this book that I am stumped on is the statues. Oh yes, I have this list of possibilities of WT? he is doing with them. He is so cleve...more

First I want to say this is more of a 4.5 stars for me. Goodreads really needs to get with the program and give us the half star ratings. Lol

Kiera and the gang are back!....well sort of. They are back but they are definitely not the same. Then again who can come back from the dead unchanged? But it isn't long before they don't have time to worry about the strange things that are happening with themselves and have to focus on this new world that they've come back to. A place where everything seem...more

Another truly great read from Tim O'Rourke. 'Dead Flesh' is told from Keira's perspective as well as one of her friends. Keira and her friends initially seem to be in limbo after the rollercoaster of previous events. They need to come to terms with everything that has happened and all that they have been through, at the same time as trying to understand their own personal changes and the changes of the different world that they find themselves in.

Again, we have a different type of species with t...more

WOW I did not see this end coming...Frickin' AWESOME & just a tad bit twisted!! Just gotta figure out where Sam and the "statues" fit in LoL ....Tim hurry up and finish the next book!!! Only negative, I would say and its really more a matter of a personal taste since it really doesn't effect the love of the story...I don't like the cover art, too zombie-ish.

If I had not been looking for it specifically, having read the other series, OR you had not written it(cause I will always check out my...more

Kiera and Potter are back! I am so happy Tim decided to continue with a new series for Kiera. I was so happy to see that Kiera and Potter are together. Its the first series that I've read when two characters get romantically involved and their personalities don't change. They stay true to who they are. I think that is what I love most about these characters. This series is very different from the first Kiera Hudson series. With the first series, Kiera had the hel...more

Dead Flesh begins a new chapter in the lives of Kiera Hudson, Sean Potter, Kayla Hunt and Isidor. It has been 6 weeks since Kiera woke up from the dead after refusing to make a decision that the Elders had laid at her feet. Kiera’s failure to make said decision has cursed Kiera to walk the earth as one of the Dead Flesh. If you haven’t read Vampire Hollows, I would absolutely recommend that you do so before jumping into this book.

Kiera learns that she...more

I know I say this is the best book yet after each book of Tim's that I read but seriously Dead Flesh rocked it! Your favorite characters Kiera, Potter, Kayla, and Isador are back in Tim's new Kiera Hudson series and I couldn't be more pleased. I have been a fan of Tim's since reading his Black Hill Farm almost a year ago and I have enjoyed watching him grow as a writer. The characters and plots get stronger and his writing gets darker and more intense with each book he publishes.

This first book in O’Rourke’s new series hits the ground running hard, and doesn’t let up until the twisted finale that will leave readers yearning for more. Kiera, Potter, Isidor, and Kayla are back, this time as the undead, and as they begin to piece together this new world they’ve been thrust into, they must work together to uncover the truths behind the pushed world. Seeking to understand their new surroundings, Kiera once again becomes an amazing sleuth, deducing the truth with the help of...more

Having read The Kiera Hudson series one I was patiently waiting for Dead Flesh book one in the second series and I can definitely say it was worth the wait!

To catch up with team again, especially Potter (What can I say, I'm a Potter girl! )was fantastic, and as usual the brilliant writing of Tim does not disappoint! The suspense and action kicks off early on and as with all Tim's books I find myself reading 'just one more chapter' as I can't tear myself away from wanting to know what's going to...more

So my rating for this book isn't that high because to be honest i'm not sure what i thought of it, now that may sound weird but to me it was like something was missing and i felt things were not explained and i'm still not sure of other things through out the book, and felt that potter and keira hardly interacted as a couple which i expected, i am not writing this book off completely but i think i may need to go back sometime and re-read and maybe things will become clearer. i loved the first se...more

Bet you thought that was it, a ot so happy ending for the series and Mr. O'Rourke is done with Kiera Hudson... well no, NO!!
Kiera and her friends are back and ready for more adventures.
But, what are a group of misfit not-really-dead ex-coppers to do in a world that seems to be completely misplaced? What coppers do best... look for trouble and face it. That is exactly what Kiera and the gang do in this book... Kayla is braver than ever, Potter is as potty-mouthed as usual, Isidor is as adorable...more

Edgy book with a 'who did it?' kind of feel to it. I devoured this book and the entire series. It is one of those series that makes it hard to put down for long. I would highly recommend it.

In Series 2 with kiera, the characters evolve along with the plot. series 2 looks into the pasts of each character which in turn brings an emotional edge to each story. highly recommended.

God I'm so happy the gang is all back together ;) I didn't realize how much I've missed them. At first I was worried how this series was gonna go, if it was going to feel like it was being drug out or just repeating itself. I can now say without a doubt I had no reason to be worried. The story has taken a new crazy twist and I'm loving the ride! And most of all I'm loving that I have Potter again. I just bought Dead Night - Potters Secrets and I'm excited to start. I'm a little worried about tha...more

Kiera's life is never boring even after she is dead. She came back to a world that has changed or been "pushed." There is a murder to solve and once again Potter, Kayla and Isador are helping to find Emily Clarke, a missing school teacher from Ravenswood School while sorting out why the world has changed. The story in engrossing and has lots of twists that you don't see coming and once again I am amazed at Tim's imagination that has captured my attention. I Loved the first series and look forwar...more

This book left me sitting there with my mouth wide open thinking What the hell?? I so did not see that coming. It was another awesome book to an awesome series..In this book everyone is trying to find themselves after coming back from the dead. They aren't really sure who they are anymore or why they were brought back and just want to feel some kind of normal in a world that is far from it.There world gets more than Pushed.. I Loved it!!!I can't wait to read Dead Angels.

I'm just loving these books. The change of character throughout the chapters gives the storyline extra depth and I'm just loving the character Potter, really pleased he made it back! Good move on the authors behalf!

Each one of the characters just keeps growing and twisting and it's wonderful to think that this is one of those series of books that goes from strength to strength.

Rebecca
I just absolutely love this series, I nearly rolled off my seat with laughter at Potter's reaction to the picture of The Wolfman Isidor found.
Jane
This continues to be one of my favorite series. Amazing writing and ideas, the story line keeps you guessing as to what could be happening, yet at the same time keeping the reader comepletely engaged. You don't ever feel like wtf, it's more like wow what an unexpected wicked turn. Great!!!
