Blood Rage was just the beginning. Blood-Mage Rising runs contemporaneously with Rage.

In the eighty years since the Great Awakening, humans and non-humans have lived side by side, relatively at peace. In an attack that leaves his wife dead, Jordan MacNaught is caught up in the start of a war meant to turn the other races against the vampires. He knows beyond a doubt the v...more

Loved it, better than the first book. Okay, now for the details. I know that some prefer their protag's to follow the letter of the law, (as they see written) but I prefer to have things shaken up a bit. I do not like my protag's to all be cut from the same cloth, and Tory Michaels does shake things up very well. Not many authors I have read or know can pull off a character's change of soul or heart or mind, whichever you prefer, into a smooth transition within one book. She does and explains it...more

Every ten years or so Chris Javert and Jordan MacNaught come together for a night of passion. They must do it to satisfy their need for lust because they are tangled and entwined in each other. But that doesn’t mean that they necessarily like each other.
Chris once tried to kill Jordan by leaving him attached to the wall in a burning house. While Jordan had Chris buried alive when she called Jordan’s mom a not complimentary name. Yet when they are forced to work together to help the vampire ruli...more

Definitely not the way I thought Tory would go with the second book of series, but still an enjoyable and great read that was surprising, exciting, sensual and adventurous. New characters were introduced and old ones revisited. I found this addition to the series to be a great one with even more fun than the last. It also brought about more clarity of what happened in the last book of the series. I definitely feel it can be read as a stand-alone because Tory wrote it with the past intertwined wh...more

This is the second in the series and so far this is a winner. Both books are interesting, hot and entertaining. I don't know if there will be a third but I will certianly be excited if there is.

I read the first book and absolutely loved it. When offered this one, I didn’t even hesitate to say yes. I enjoyed it, not as much as I did the first but those characters are going to be hard to beat. Still the author stuck with what made the first one great and it carried over to this book as well. We still have the amazing amount of details that the author loves to pack into a book and you freely flow through the written word. I completely...more

To say that Chris has a complicated relationship with Jordan would be a huge understatement. He buried her and she almost killed him for that. Still, they couldn’t go more than ten years without tangling the sheets.

Yeah, she found her addiction to the sociopath fantastic. One of these days, he’d snap and try to bury her again.

Jordan offers her a deal that could guaranty the safeness of Chris’ friend; he will bind in a binding curse in exchange of...more

Whereas I found the lead female character irritating most of the time and I can't wrap my mind around a woman that is a study in opposites(physically a strong and talented fighter, but emotionally weak and silly-loves a sociopath), the story line was intriguing and this book was a really good follow up to Blood Mage. I find this series a fun and suspenseful ride with the ending in this book a real eye opener. The author threw a curve ball at the end and I am very excited for Book 3. Hope it come...more

If you asked me what really pulled everything together it was the intense emotions of the characters. They are contrasting dynamics, dynamite and gun powder, the explosion between the two is a complete blast to watch. Yet I missed the balls to the wall heroine that we had from the first book. Don’t get me wrong, I like Chris but I found her a bit too vulnerable and whiney at times which I kind of feel too many authors are writing now a days. Give me a empowered woman any day of the week over a w...more

Good grief! I love this book as much as the first one! If you have not picked up these books yet, Y'all are missing out on a rich world with intriguing characters! I found myself loving Jordan even while telling myself I am crazy! How can you love a sociopath? Well, Ms. Michaels found a way. I am just dying to read more about this world and find out what happens next! So many unanswered questions that leave me squirming in anticipation. Full review to follow.
