I loved it, totally worth reading!
So romantic, so full of action, sacrifice and badassness i can't believe it ends there.

In the beginning i liked book but could not make what is the story. there are three narrator, narration was turning and it a bit distracted me. After i get what happens, story captivated me, Luke and Dee's love, adoration, tender touch to each other, was really amazing.

Finally finished this book. At first, it was not a page turner for me because on the first chapter I kinda got a little confused on who is telling the story because the author was trying to introduce the 3 main characters Deliverance, Luke and Dave. As I worked my way out of the first few chapters I just admired how the plot was excellently constructed, and suddenly got into the book that I just didn't want to put it down. Obviously I had to get on with my own life so I finished this book by rea ...more

Review of Sleep Stalkers by Jacki O'Dierno
Structurally this is an excellent story, sticking to logic in the fantastical world of demon hunting. The book has vivid murder and mutilation scenes and contains some sex scenes as well as a very limited, though appropriate use of profanity. The sexual content is not explicit and should not be cause of alarm to younger readers. On Goodreads it is described as - Urban Fantasy, paranormal, horror
What a fantastic read. In retrospect the book started slow.
Page 20 and I am already struggling to put this book down.
The new government views has seen the downfall of churches and the structured religion of the world. Allowing for the evil in the world to work it's way in.
Danger like none other is lurking in the subconscious of the "special" minions.
A tale of friendship and love. Two halves of a whole.

This is a paranormal story which is so believable that one can imagine the things which happen in the book, to happen in real life. In “Sleep Stalkers” all it took was an American president who discouraged faith in a higher power, to cause negativity and despair in the country; and bringing with it the ‘sleep stalkers’. These demons possess people at night, turning them into ruthless killers. Only those called minions - people with a certain measure of psychic ability - are immune to possession, ...more

I received a copy of this book for free from the author using Read 2 Review in the Paranormal and Horror Lovers group on Goodreads.

I must admit that the first thirty pages of the book were brilliantly written and had me completely hooked in this post-apocalyptic world, where demons took over the bodies of love ones and then tried to kill you. The story begins with Luke, who is waking up from a one night stand and discovers the girl he slept with now a Sleep Stalker and hell-bent on killing him.

It has taken me several days to add my review of Sleep Stalkers . . . because I have a bandaged hand! . . and once I started the book I knew I was on a journey with the characters and I was left with an emotional footprint, and tear stains, after I had clicked on the last page.
The book begins with one of the protagonists in a tense situations, but this sets the story up for us as the reader . . we know we are going to be in for a edge of our seats ride. However, there was something more importan

I was given this book in return for an honest review. I was suprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Demons are possesing people while they sleep, the government is calling it a pague so that the public doesn't know the truth. The three main characters that come together over the course of the book are Luke, who's on the edge, Dave, who has a kind and calming spirit, and Dee, the ultimate weapon and natural leader. They are minions. Minions are immune to the Sleep Stalkers, they are the only pe ...more
I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of Jacki O’Dierno’s eBook to read and review through Goodreads. I have to admit, I enjoyed the story immensely. Ms. O’Dierno’s book had all my emotions at work: fear, humor, excitement and sadness. She was able to paint a vivid picture of her characters eloquently and seamlessly as the story unfolded. The story took many twists and turns. Without giving away the ending, I will say it was shocking and something I didn’t expect. The last few pages I dabbed at ...more

Plot: 3/5 stars
Although unique, I found the plot to be somewhat predictable after the first few chapters and I also thought that it was a little bit “safe”. Boy meets girl, they have an insanely unusual connection to each other, boy and girl need each other to save the world. Still, the bad guys in this story were very creative and that is why I am giving the plot three stars.

Characters: 2/5 stars
I didn’t care for any of the characters in this book and felt absolutely no emotional attachment
Let me first say how much I loved this book! Jacki O’ Dierno has created a very creepy, very realistic dystopia. Her method of plot building flowed so smoothly; it was very difficult to put down.

I know not every reader likes a finely detailed story, but I am not one of them. I love the fact she described everything. It allows the reader to really get a feel for the characters inside and out. And while there is a religious undercurrent, it was not overbearing. Being an atheist, I usually steer cl
Overall, I felt the story was interesting, with the best thing about Sleep Stalkers was the female protaganist character Dee.
Also, what I found appealing about Luke, his back story and the horror he witnessed as a child.
However, one thing I felt turned off about the story, was the beginning chapters.
I felt as if Dee, Luke, and Dave, whom I assummed to be Luke's sidekick, should have been placed together from the beginning.
And that ends my review of Sleep Stalkers.

This is such a great book. It took me a while to read, but that was nothing at all to do with the quality of the story. I loved the story, and it put another spin on demons and how they roam and enter the known world. It is a book about the invading plague of demons that have been let into the world through humans lack of something to fully believe and have faith in, and now it is up to a group of people known as minions, to rid the world of as many of the demons as possible until a way can be f ...more

What a killer of an ending!!! I had to re-read the last chapter because it was so good. It made me feel as if I wanted to know more of what happens next. It is a book that you will not want to be over after you finish it. That is a special quality about this book. You will fall in love with the characters: Luke, Dave, Dee, Rick, Carl, and Astin. There are no words for me to describe this book. I more amaze than I planned on being. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars, because Sleep Stalkers deserves it. I do have to say this cover does not do the the book justice, I was to purchase this book by cover alone I would probably second guess myself.

Freaky, creepy are two words that actually come to my mind when I read this book. Sleep Stalkers had me from the go and kept

Oh wow. This book has to be one of the most irritating ones that I've ever read. The ideas were good, the plot was great, but everything else? Everything else was so danged annoying. Hence why I've given the book two stars out of five.

To start off with, the first thing about the book which struck me was its premise. I liked it. (I'm starting with the good things to create a buffering cushion, hehe.) The whole idea o
Readers beware this book is addictive. Once I started I didn't want to put it down. It's an epic struggle between the good and the bad. Minions are humans with psychic abilities that prevent them from being possessed and the sleep stalkers are the enemy. The are demons that posses the bodies of humans when they're asleep and go on bloody rampages. It's up to the Minions to send them back where they came from.

The plot is terrifyingly realistic and action packed. It makes you wonder if it could po

I was given this book on a read to review basis.

This book is full of action, suspense, horror, romance and entertainment. Although the world is near its final end, hope lies with the three main characters – Dee, Luke and Dave. Each character’s reasons for becoming demon hunters is explained nicely as the story moves on, and you feel for each of them knowing they have suffered great pain yet still fight on.

There is a religious side to the book, but this is in the background and not overbearing.
I enjoyed this book very much. I felt that Dee was a wonderfully strong female main character and really enjoyed her personality! I like all the back-story that is given on each character, also. Luke is very likeable, although haunted by his past and cut off from others at first, and Dave is lovable from the time that he and Luke run into each other.

What a great paranormal story with some religious fiction aspects that will leave you on the edge of your seat, unable to put it down! I definitely

i recieved this book as a gift to give an honest review of it.

so i started this book thinking in the back of my mind, it sounds good, but probably just like all the other "zombie / demon stories.

Boy was i wrong!! it was fresh and amazing! i can not wait to read more from this Author! the only bad part i found of this book was when it ended!

this one will go on my top 20 books of 2012 for sure. a must read for any paranormal lover, or anyone who enjoys a great book.
